"To go over your complaint about the hood not being centered above the grill, it is 100% Pinellas County Code that you are required to have a hood above any gas appliance. This being said, you are REQUIRED to have a hood over both your gas grill, and your gas side burner. Your hood is CENTERED above both of these appliances. As for permits, as stated in your contract, 2nd page section 9, the homeowner is responsible for all permits. Creative Outdoor Kitchens will obtain permits if requested, but the homeowner will still be responsible for the permit fee. While going over our contract, you never stated you would like Creative Outdoor Kitchens to pull the permit. Moving on to your hood problem, Keshia does in fact know that there is another rear discharge hood, Tradewinds Outdoor Exhaust Hood, because the is the hood we HIGHLY recommend, mainly because how it extends past the countertop. 99% of our installed hoods are the Tradewinds hoods, as seen on our website. You refused the Tradewinds hood option that we tried creating multiple designs with because it was "too big" and you liked how "sleek" the Twin Eagles hood was. The hood was installed correctly. Jeff, our owner, did offer to create a bump out at an additional cost, he did not collect any money from you to do this. However, at that time, you threated his daughter and were being nasty to his other employees. We completed your kitchen and did everything per our contract, but we have the right to refuse to do any other work for you. We recommend you calling Twin Eagles, because again, as it states in our contract, first page section 2, the appliances carry the manufactures warranty. You can find their number on the brochure you showed Keshia and Mona when requesting that hood. Thank you, Creative Outdoor Kitchens."
"Good morning [Member Name Removed], We installed a beautiful fireplace for you and your husband. The units burner was starting to bow. We IMMEDIATELY had our crew out there to look at it. Once determined it had nothing to do with our workmanship, we then contacted the manufacture, again, IMMEDIATELY. From then on, we told you that you would have to deal directly with their service company. We contacted them multiple times to make sure that were still taking care of you. Now, they told you that you had to put weight on the burner to keep it from bowing, YOU REFUSED THIS OPTION. We offered to give you complimentary decorative glass for this, and again, you refused. As for the service charge, that had nothing to do with us. That is with the service company. If you have a problem with the charge you will need to dispute that with them. Per our contract with you, the appliances are warranted by the manufacturer. We just made contact with them and they said everything has been completed. Is this not the case? We appreciated your business and again, your fireplace turned out BEAUTIFUL. If I could post pictures of it, I would. Sincerely, Creative Outdoor Kitchens"
We met the owner and his wife at the stone yard to pick out the granite countertop, and paid 1/2 the estimate
The crew came in removed the old kitchen, put in new pavers where it used to be. Started the Installation, in the middle, a very strong thunderstorm came up. They tried to work under cover, but, eventually, the saids they would need to come back, and I was perfectly OK wit this (do it right rather than do it fast)
They came back the next day, finished the job, including a very nice back splash... very good job. We got a quick course in how to operate the grill before they left
If I had one piece of criticism, and it, in no way reflects on Creative Outdoor Kitchens but rather on the manufacturer of the grill (Blaze), there was almost nothing left on how to actually use it on a day to day bases, and what the rear burner could be used for. I finally found a web site where this was described to be used with a rotisserie, and that teh grill had to be 'seasoned' first
I really wish this had been included in the documentation that was left with us
Overall, I am very satisfied with what I recieved, and would not hesitate to recommend this company
"First of all, we want to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this customer may have experienced in this project. After minor delays, the outdoor kitchen portion of this project was completed and operational within two weeks after starting. Our normal goal for most kitchens is to complete within 1-2 weeks. The delay afterwards was caused by a custom built table that the customer requested. Once the table base was selected, ordered and shipped by the customer, we then collected dimensions to start work on the granite we fabricated for the table. Our normal contract states that we receive 1/3 down, 1/3 when we start and 1/3 when we are finished. In this case, we told the customer to hold back $500 until we were finished with the granite for the table. Unfortunately, we also experienced unexpected employee issues at the same time this project was being completed (as can happen with any business – whether listed on Angie’s list or not). Many changes have therefore been implemented to resolve any future issues in this area. After over 20 years of building outdoor living areas, we are constantly making improvements to our methods of doing business including striving to improve customer communication, and proper scheduling to resolve outstanding issues as we progress in the building of a project. We have now implemented new policies to follow up with past customers to see what areas during and after the construction process can be improved. Our goal has always been and continues to be 100% customer satisfaction and we are constantly making strides in this area."
