After explaining what we wanted, Ron sent a pic via email, of a similar job he had done. It was almost exactly what we wanted. So we scheduled a time for him to see our space and take measurements. Ron was on time and professional. We requested the cabinet doors look a specific way, to blend in with our old 1920s bungalow. He listened and understood exactly what we envisioned. He kept to his schedule and sent pics of the cabinet doors as he was working. He delivered/installed the cabinets on time. And cleaned up nicely after installation. Ron always responded quickly and kept to his timeline and estimate. We are very happy with our cabinets!

Ron and his daughter only came to my home 2 times. Once to take measurements and provide the quote, and a second to perform the install. The build and painting all happened off site which was great! No mess, no smells, no hassles. I basically just showed Ron a picture of what I wanted, explained the modifications and he did the rest. It turned out great and I get compliments on it all of the time. It's two book shelves with draws and cabinets flanking a window seat, also with drawers. It turned out fantastic. The only down side is that Ron has a lot of work and it did take a few months before the piece was installed. However, Ron did tell me this would be the case when I hired him. For the value, it was worth the wait.

Ron is truly amazing and extremely talented. He was always available to answer any questions via phone or email. His measurements were spot on! Everything is so beautiful and custom made, very high quality. We will definitely be using him again for our master bedroom and bathroom.

Ron responded to phone calls promptly, made suggestions related to the work, communicated well during the work with text and email, and finished the work promptly. Ron?s work product was exceptional and would not hesitate to call him again.

Pleasant demeanor, responsive to questions, etc. He came out an measured, gave a couple suggestions. Work was completed and installed in the time frame he gave. Finished result is great, working on another project since this one turned out so well. Would definitely recommend. The price was the almost the same as the big box store, but the quality was way above and the doors fit better than the options I had with stock cabinets.

Promptly came out for estimate. Went to shop to select cabinet and counter top materials and colors. Cabinets were completed faster than expected. Installation went very well. Everything looked better than expected. Father - Daughter team that really works. Very pleasant and easy to do business with. Price below anything I could get at a DIY store. Very, Very Pleased and would definitely use again if the need ever arises.

Our home was built in 1990 and has a large hole for a big box television. No ready made cabinets would fit into the space and the stands made for televisions do not hide all the cords and cables (I HATE cords and cables). I contacted Ron because of his reviews on Angie's List. He came to the house, listened to my ideas, made some suggestions and then contacted me a couple days later with a price and drawing. It is exactly what I wanted.

I had initially asked Ron about a pantry cabinet as he installed the kitchen cabinets. I contacted Ron several months later to go over the final details. We signed the contract and anxiously awaited our spot on the project list. It was well worth the wait. The quality of Ron's work is outstanding. Having over thirty years experience in the tradesman fields, Ron's work is noticeably among the best. The communication was active and effective; all details were addressed to make sure we were on the same page. There were no surprises, the pantry cabinet was exactly as discussed. Ron called when the cabinet was cmpleted to set up delivery. He arrived promptly at the time scheduled and quickly had the pantry cabinet in place.

You cannot be in a hurry, but the wait is well worth it. He is extremely busy and you must wait for your number to come up in the queue, but his work is fantastic and the workmanship is top quality. He built a floor to ceiling cabinet to connect two bathroom vanities. The color matched beautifully and his aesthetic recommendations were excellent. He shows up when he says he will (a rarity in Florida) and I LOVE the fact that his daughter works with him.

The initial quote was too high. We negotiated for a better price and contractor gave us different quotes at lower price. This was good. We selected the quote that worked for us. Unfortunately, this contractor took a week waiting for him to pickup the materials and build our cabinet. We did not like to waiting and rated his responsiveness a low score. Contractor does quality work, but took too long to get the job done. We had to live with a huge microwave on our counter-top taking up lots of space for a week.

Called Ron and he came the next day to measure cabinets. E.mailed me the estimate within a few days. Told me it would take 3 - 4 months before he could make and install. I went ahead and signed the contract. As promised, he recently completed and installed the cabinets. The cabinets and installation are first class. I am quite pleased.

The quality of his workmanship was very high. He made the vanities custom to my particular bathroom was very nice. I have hardwood floors and was having a difficult time picking out stain for the cabinets. He worked hard to make sure the stain match and that I got what I was looking for. I am considering him for my kitchen and my master bathroom as well.

We were remodeling our bathroom and couldn't find a suitable ready-made vanity for a vessel sink. My wife wanted athe vanity to be only 16" deep, smaller than any we could find. After many hours of searching on-line and in stores, we finally decided we would have to get the vanity custom made. We assumed there were many furniture makers in our Tampa area who could make the vanity. We were wrong.After finding all companies listed as furniture maker, cabinet maker, etc., I contacted the top 8 who had the best ratings on Angie's list. Almost all said they could not build the vanity, even though ther was nothing complicated about it. Most told me that even though their listing was under "maker", actually all they did was purchase cabinets and install them. Ron Barbour was the only responder that told me he could build the vanity that we desired. He emailed me an estimate from a picture I sent to him of a vanity similar to what we wanted, along with a sketch I made showing dimensions and a few details. Ron lives quite a distance from me, so we handled all design details by email. Ron made a few suggestions as to how he thought he could improve on the design I sent him, and I agreed.. We swapped quite a few emails during the process, and Ron was very punctual in answering my emails. Ron delivered the vanity in a timely manner. I was hoping there wouldn't be a problem with what he built when it showed up at our house. My worries were unfounded. The vanity is beautiful and exactly what I envisioned. The workmanship was superb. I can't imagine getting anything better from someone else. Ron was also very friendly, and my wife and I enjoyed meeting him. One can tell he is a proud craftsman. If you want furniture made, I highly recommend you contact Ron. You won't be disappointed.

I removed a wall for Ron the install the entertainment center. The entertainment center fit perfect in the space that was taken down. The workmanship is 2nd to none. Ron and his assistant (daughter) paid close attention to detail. He used Cherry Wood and stained the wood a Derpp Mahogany. When Ron did the estimate he advised that he would not be able to have the work completed for approximately 6 weeks. He has a good business and the wait was worth it. Ron delivered the product on the exact date he specified. All the construction/build/staining was done at his shop. The day of installation he came with his assistant and completed the installation in less than 4 hours. Ron was very clean, laid pads down for his tools and cleaned everything up afterwards. We are extremely happy with the end result and would recommend Ron's services if you want a custom and expert job completed.

Excellent job and everything looks great. His workmanship is excellent and he used top quality materials. The drawers and doors open beautifully and he used snap-off/snap-on door hardware making access easy for plumbing, etc. The paint was "fused" onto the cabinets and looks very nice. The drawers were built in a dove-tail fashion and look beautiful. He used real wood, not particle board. Ron and his assistant (his daughter) work with precision and have the job finished in a timely manner. Ron has a quiet and professional manner and returned our calls either by phone or email within 24 to 36 hours. I'd ask Ron to do projects for us again.

He came within a day of my call to look at the project. Knowlegable about the pros and cons of job. Did the job within an hour and it was beautifully done and reasonably priced. Very professional, punctual, reliable. Highly recommend! Before I joined Angie's List and called him I had 2 others I..'d been working with. One said it couldn't be done without cracking the laminate on the rest of the module and the whole unit would have to come down and new cabinets and a new tile back splash installed. The other said it could be done but didn't return my calls and failed to show up twice when we'd set a date. This is the one you want to use. Trustworthy...and that's sayimg a lot!

Ron assessed space where bed would fit. We discussed design, style, color of wood, etc and I shared some photos I things I liked via email. Ron is a superb craftsman. He is an artist. A Michael Angelo. Nobody around can do what he does. He has a gift. He is a creative genius and produces beautiful work.

Barbour Custom Cabinetry did not do the extensive re-modeling work that we wanted done. They had a good attitude about it and was willing to tell us that they did not have a general contractors license. I would recommend that they be contacted for cabinetry work as their quote was reasonable.

Absolutely incredible custom cabinets! We could not be more happy. Ron took the time to makes sure all the small details were perfect. The cabinets were installed in a 1920's bungalow with uneven walls and slanted floors. He carefully cut the cabinets to seamless fit walls, brick fireplace surround, floor and window casings taking into account how the eye would see the finished product. The cabinets are a beautiful showpiece for our house. Ron is an true craftsman. From quote to installation his work was exceptionally professional. Can't thank you enough Ron.

Work was performed as promised, on-time, and with exceptional quality. Ron's work looks and feels more like custom furniture than just cabinets, and I would recommend him to anyone wanting great quality for a great price.

I called Ron because he was recommended by AAA Services, a wonderful remodeling company. He came out and measured the space, and gave me an estimate. He said it would take about a week and a half. He was done in less than a week. He and his lovely daughter came out and installed the drawers in less than an hour. They are exactly what I asked for and I'm so glad I had it done. He showed me how to remove and replace them if I needed to. Ron was very pleasant and professional. I'll remember him if we need any more carpentry or cabinet work done.

This has been by far one of the best experiences we have ever had. We had a vision in mind; and Ron delivered 100%. The quality of his work is hard to find these days. He is thoughtful, creative, communicates well and most importantly is a true craftsman. It's no surprise that he has consistent A rating on Angie's list. We are already working on the plans for our next project. I have also have had several inquiries from friends and co-workers about our experience. Would I use his services again? Absolutely; the next project is in the works. Would I recommend him to my friends? Yes I have.
