Perfect. Ron was a pleasure to deal with start to finish. Super responsive, knowledgeable, professional and competent. After trading a few emails and phone calls to figure out what was need and arrange the appointment, Ron called to confirm, arrived on time and prepared, got right to work, and left my kitchen in better shape than it's been in years. I really appreciate that not only is Ron competent, but he also uses today's communication tools effectively, including email, txt message, and camera-phone pics. Could not have asked for more.

I was so impressed with the work Ron did on my other projects it was an easy decision to choose Barbour Custom Cabinetry & Design to build my home office suite. Ron came up with a great design from a rough sketch that I had given him. His design included a desk and 2 credenzas. The large credenza included 2 large file drawers. Ron built the office furniture in cherry, matching the woodwork on the other projects. Once again, Ron used top of the line products including premium furniture grade plywood (sequenced), Amerock handles, and Blum hardware. His design was clean and his craftsmanship was excellent. Ron’s attention to detail is exemplified by how he matched and sequenced the grain of the wood on each piece of furniture. The home office furniture was delivered on time and budget. I will be using Ron for projects in the future.

The cabinet work is perfect and is the quality of custom-built furniture. The finish is flawless - uniform color and no imperfections in the wood. The hinges are top quality and the pegs inside the cabinets make the shelves easy to adjust the height. I had originally thought I would go to a "big box store" and purchase ready-made cabinets but the quality was nothing compared to Ron's work, Even those that were "real wood" couldn't compare with those I have. Secondly, when you have custom cabinets, they are designed to fit the space exactly. There is nothing like all wood cabinets. You can smell the fresh wood when you open the doors. The next project Ron will do is my kitchen, followed by three bathroom vanities. I have no doubt the quality will be the same. His price is very reasonable and I am sure I will save a lot of money compared to having someone else do the work.

We've used Ron before and will continue to do so. We find him reasonably priced, professional and punctual. He listens to what we want (and I am highly particular) and delivers. He knew we wanted to match our outdoor pavers, so he brought several large samples of actual materials and stains (not little chips provided by some manufacturer) that allowed us to really determine which color would be the best stain. He brought by one of the first stained pieces because he thought that it might not be red enough for me and sure enough, he was able to take the stain a bit darker. The final color was perfect. He did the drawers (dovetail) and doors exactly how we preferred and installed perfectly. I'm thrilled and can't wait for his next project, our master bath and closets.

Ron sent photos of past work to give us insight on how he might approach our project. He promptly scheduled an in-home visit to see the area and see what we proposed. Before Ron did the final cutting, he came back out and remeasured. Ron gave us an estimate that was very fair and a date of completion that was reasonable. He is very responsive and professional and delivered the project on time and on budget. Installation was quick and we are very pleased. We are hiring him again to do our outdoor kitchen cabinets and to do our greatroom media cabinets.

Ron repaired my upper kitchen cabinet that was literally falling apart and falling off the wall. He added a 3 level corner shelf to the cabinet and also repaired a lower cabinet kitchen drawer. He was prompt, courteous and professional. He did an excellent job. The cabinet is now secure and the shelf is beautiful. I will definitely use his services again.

I sent Ron a picture of a bedroom suite that I liked and told him of a few modifications that wanted. Ron worked with me on the modifications and he came up with a great design. We recently completed a guest bathroom remodel. All of the outside vendors we brought in disappointed us except for Ron Barbour's cabinets. We had 4 companies give us quotes for cabinet work and selected Ron as our cabinet maker based on Angie's List recommendations and his expertise in boat building. Ron gave us an estimate and had the vanity/linen cabinet doors done before we were ready for the install. He did exactly what he said he would do and the vanity and cabinet doors for our bathroom are first class. We did not want to redo the wall of floor tiles, so Ron had to work within the constraints of the existing footprint. Both the wall and floor tiles were installed after the original cabinet was built so measurements on the replacement were critical. Ron does not do countertops but had to factor in the height so that the finished granite top was just slightly higher than the tile grout line. His work is precise and the install took about 1-1/2 hours. I didn't fully appreciate the hinges that he put on the cabinet doors until I painted the bathroom. The doors pop off easily and just take seconds to put back on. It was so much easier to install the sink hardware, plumbing and paint without worrying about bumping to the doors. Thanks Ron, we're very pleased with the finished product!

I have been researching different office designs and receiving estimates from varous companies. After not finding much success, I read Ron's reviews on Angie's List. Although he only had a few reviews posted at the time, they were extremely positive and detailed. I called Ron to schedule an appointment and from the moment I met him, the reviews had described him perfectly. Let me start by saying that Ron is an excellent communicator! He listens to your needs, roughly sketches them out on paper, will e-mail some ideas, does not pressure top move forward, is good at keeping status updates via text, e-mail and phone, and requests feedback on work performed throughout the process. I received Ron's estimate in February, but did not start to move forward with the job until August. As he would progress through the creation of the product, he would e-mail me some links to looks at hardware, stain samples, recommended granite installers, examples of cabinet doors, etc. He was extremely thorough, communicative, clean, and very patient with me. He designed bookshelves exactly how I wanted them. He made the office so functional, that is is far better and more beautiful than I would have EVER imagined! He even called us later to check and see how we liked it. When Ron states that he makes custom cabinetry, he means it! It IS CUSTOM MADE! The doors were individually designed with REAL, solid wood, individually stained, and each piece was custom built to my specifications. I am absolutely impressed and will no doubt hire Ron to do more work in my house (our 3 bathrooms, kitchen and wine cellar). My only hesitation to posting this ad is that the word will get out and I will have to wait for space to open up on his schedule.

Ron is an expert craftsman and builds beautiful cabinets. Ron helped design and layout, as well as fabricate and install, my new custom cabinets in my house. He is very professional, a stickler for details, has a lot of good ideas, and is a pleasure to deal with. The quality and timeliness of his work is excellent. I am even more pleased with the final product than I thought was possible. I'm very pleased with the quality of work and his willingness to make changes and do them in a timely manner. Great job. Ron came to us with exceptional experience, talent and a fantastic work ethic. He has a very extensive workshop in Tarpon Springs, and when we found out he had worked for a long time as a boat builder before going out on his own, we were very enthusiastic about his potential. And we were not disappointed! The living room cabinets far surpassed our expectations! They were extremely well built, fit the area perfectly and completely transformed the room into the most attractive and most usable space in our condo! He also made great suggestions regarding color, lighting and design for the cabinets. The cabinet he built for the bathroom also is beautiful. It is extremely well made and again Ron made great suggestions about size and design. The trim he finished in our bath and kitchen was an exceptional success, mostly because he had to match the stain. This was not an easy task, but the matched color is virtually identical! Ron is extremely meticulous, neat and conscientious about his work. We highly recommend him and will be hiring him for additional projects in the future!

Ron is a true craftsman, not just a "cabinet maker". I had shopped around at the larger chain stores, Lowes, Home Depot, Bay City Plywood, etc.. and found the quality of their "custom cabinets" to be just okay. By the time they added in extra charges to remove a mirror, tear-out the vanity, clean-up the area, deliver the new cabinets, etc... their "just average" cabinets would have cost me over $1,500 more than having Ron build custom cabinets to my exact specifications, in the exact wood, design and colors I chose. Ron's work is, in my opinion, second to none..and puts even the highest grade of store-bought cabinets to shame. From the time I contacted Ron, he helped me with the design, and "nailed" the exact door front style I wanted. He came to the house, measured, and showed me wood samples (I chose cherry door fronts), and he kept me informed throughout the build process, and answered my questions without hesitation. I saw the final product installed today, and I'm floored by the magnificent quality. This cabinet looks like a work of art! Ron used only the highest grade cherry, lined all the drawers and cabinets with beautiful wood veneer, and used 3/4 inch plywood to build out the box. It fit exactly as expected, and he even brought custom stained to match trim pieces to finish-out the installation. The cabinets are true, level, and built like brick houses! For those interested in seeing the fantastic work Ron does, I've attached a few photos. The cabinets look much more impressive in person, so if you like what you see in the photos, the cabinets are twice as beautiful in person. Ron has the natural ability to bring out the "glow" in the wood grain, like custom built furniture, not just a cabinet. As far as the logistics, Ron showed-up exactly on time, worked with his apprentice (his daughter), brought his own trash bins and shop vac, and as many tools as his truck could carry. It was dirty work, removing mirrors, breaking-out the back-splash, etc.. but Ron and his daughter left my home absolutely spotless, and it only took two hours from start of demo to final installation. I would not hesitate to recommend Ron again in the future..and I'm already planning to use him again for another cabinet once the granite is installed. Way to go, Ron!

After looking at cabinets that were available at the big box stores I decided to explore Angie?s List. I came across Barbour Custom Cabinetry & Design and I am so glad I did. I visited his shop and he saw some of the cabinets and furniture that he was working on and that clinched my decision. It has been a great experience. Ron designed and built a complete European style kitchen in cherry, matching bathroom vanities, and laundry room cabinets. In addition, he also built a beautiful fire place mantel, frames for vanity mirrors, and crown molding. Ron used top of the line products including premium furniture grade plywood (sequenced), Amerock handles, and Blum hinges. His design maximized my cabinet space by eliminating dead space and using custom Lazy Susan(s). The installation was clean and went extremely well. Ron is the consummate professional and craftsmen. He is very easy to work with and takes pride in his work. I would highly recommend him and will use him on future projects.

I had previously had Ron build a media center for me and was very satisfied. As we did before, much of our coordination was done by email after the estimate and design agreement. Instead of a stain, he was able to lacquer the cabinet with the color that we wanted. I ordered the cabinet handles and had shipped to him and he delivered with them installed. Cabinet was delivered on time and I am very satisfied again.

If I could give Ron a higher rating than 'A' I would. He does beautiful work at a very good price. He provided good ideas on options we should build into the shelves and everyone who has seen the finished work has been awed.

Ron Barbour did two jobs for us on our motor home. We first contacted Ron to discuss building a cabinet that had been damaged beyond repair from a water leak in our motor home. Ron was very professional and came out and measured for the cabinet. He was creative and knew exactly how to appraise and resolve the issue. The cabinet he built was exactly what we had wanted and we were quite pleased. We then hired him again to repair problem hinges on drawers in our motor home that wouldn't stay on their tracks. They now open and close perfectly. Overall we were very pleased with his work and would definitely hire him again for cabinetry in our home when we renovate our bathrooms.

Ron was able to meet our needs with all wood cabinets at a very competitive price. Ron, was very pleasant to deal with and provided a very nice product that we love to show off. He worked especially hard to get just the right stain color to match something we had a sample of. We would definitely use him again.

When I contacted Ron, he had several months of work booked, but since I was not in a hurry, he came right out to discuss the project. I explained my ideas and concept and he helped me finalize a design that I liked. I was able to go and see his work before I signed the contract and was impressed by what I saw. 100 percent of his work is in wood, no substitutes used. His price was reasonable compared to others with inferior products. After the contract was signed, we kept in contact by email to discuss design details. When he delivered and installed the media center, I was very pleased with the workmanship and with his clever solutions to what I wanted. For example, he came up with a way to cantilever the glass decorative shelves without using any ugly support brackets. I am very pleased with the whole process and would recommend Ron for any cabinet needs, including complete kitchens. I am getting ready to contract with him for a bath vanity!

The previous owner of our home had a wine cooler built in to the island in our kitchen. When they moved they took the wine cooler leaving a big gap in the island. We didn't have a need for a wine cooler but decided to have a drawer built in that would store our garbage and recycled materials. We had called two other companies out but neither were responsive or confident they could do the job. Ron was extremely responsive and professional. Most importantly he proved to be very conscientious and confident in his work. He was very honest with us and what closed the deal was his commitment to getting the job done in a timely manner which he did. We are extremely please with the quality of the work and the whole experience.

Right from the start Ron was very attentive to our requests with the new kitchen. This was a total rebuilding of the kitchen, from the cabinets, flooring, counters, appliances, electrical, and plumbing. Ron worked closely with us, and the other contractors to complete a very difficult project. He was always on time, reachable by phone throughout the project, to answer the many questions we had. Whatever we requested, Ron tried to accommodate to make sure we were happy. He repeatedly said " I just want you to be happy" and happy we are. When he brought in the first set of cabinets my wife and I were very excited with the new cabinets. Not only was the quality superior to what I had seen in the home improvement stores, visually they were stunning. His attention to detail is far superior to anything I have ever seen. My wife and I are constantly complimented on the kitchen by friends and guests. We have already referred Ron to some of our friends who are currently having their kitchens redone, after seeing ours. I highly recommend him and his company for your home. We are currently working with him again to redo our bathrooms, replace our front doors, redo our baseboards, and install crown molding throughout our home. Not only was the work superior to what I had seen he was very fair in his prices. The cabinets were real wood not particle board, completely built in his shop from scratch. No factory pre-fabricated stuff. I highly recommend Ron for your kitchen and or bath remodels. Give him a call you won't be disappointed.
