Arry's Roofing Services

We were impressed with the reviews for Arry's roofing on Angie's List, and they were the middle bid from three roofing companies. The Arry's salesman was thorough in explanations. We had to wait four months before the job was started, but we were prepared for this from reviews on Angie's List. Arry's started the job on time and completed it in a few days. With only the new tar paper on the roof, we received 10 inches of rain in one day. The supervisor on our job came out in the pouring rain to see how we were doing. No leaks! They did a good job of cleaning up daily. Some months later we experienced a leak in the garage, and they came out to repair it right away.

Arry's installed our roof in 1996. We experienced a large storm that resulted in a leak two weeks before all warranties expired. Dennis McKown made estimate (he sold us the roof 10 years ago) in case the work turned out to be not under warranty (i.e., not faulty workmanship or material). The estimate was $54/hour plus materials. They worked on the roof three days, replaced broken tiles, repaired joint leak at flat roof, removed tiles about four feet on each side of valley, replaced flashing, replaced damaged soffit, and primed it (priming and painting were not part of contract). We were happy to find that the entire repair was covered by the warranty. It could have cost over $1,200 plus the material! Arry's is prompt, punctual, courteous, and overall excellent.

Excellent assessment of what caused damage and method of repair. On time every time. They began work before estimated day to start, and they are very polite. One year workmanship guarantee on work performed.

Although they initially came out and fixed it; a few months later, there was a leak in the same spot. We called them about it and they told us there was no warranty and that they could send someone out but it would cost us money. Even though they say they guarantee their work; they don't warranty.

At the time of our contract, there was a 10-12 week waiting period for work to begin. Once it was started, it was completed over a few days. There were delays due to weather and having to reschedule crews to accommodate the conditions, but there were no major problems because of this. We went with the highest quality and mph shingles and took the additional $499 GAF warranty. The crew covered the areas around the roof with tarps, to keep the debris contained. Only a couple pieces of roof and nails were found when the job was done. It's a messy job, and they did well. They were courteous and the work appears to be perfect.

It started to leak again, we called and they said the minute they get a chance they will be out.

I USED ARRY'S TO GET AN ESTIMATE ON A NEW ROOF. I KNEW THE PRODUCT AND THE SPECIFIC AMOUNT THAT I NEEDED FOR MY HOME. I HAVE PRICE SHOPPED 5 DIFFERENT QUALITY ROOFERS. THE EXACT COMPARISON FOR THE ROOFING ESTIMATE FROM ARRY'S WAS TRIPLE THE AMOUNT OF THE OTHER 4. WHEN ASKED WHY THIS WAS, THE SALESMAN REPLIED WITH FRUSTRATION THAT THE OWNER HAS INCREASED HIS PRICING ABSURDLY AND WILL NOT CONDONE A CONVERSATION WITH HIS SALESPEOPLE THAT THE PRICINGS ARE OUT OF LINE. THE SALESMAN ACTUALLY STATED THAT HE WISHED HE COULD RECORD THE CONVERSATION TO LET HIS BOSS HEAR. HE EVEN ADMITTED THAT THE PRICINGS ARE RIDICULOUSLY INFLATED. THIS IS CONSUMER ROBBERY AND PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW THAT ARRY'S HAS BECOME ARROGANT AND IS TRYING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE WHO WOULD NOT OTHERWISE KNOW. BE CAREFUL!

We had to wait a week or so for them to come out, but it was worth it. He arrived on time for his appointment and solved our problem. He didn't try to sell us a big roofing job (how refreshing!) I'll definitely call him again if we have anymore problems. He was great.

Team always arrived on time each morning; foreman on the job was polite & easy to talk to, answered all of my questions and addressed issue/concerns I had. Team always cleaned up each day. Came back for a final cleaning of yard, cleaned gutters, ran magnetic over yard to pick up any nails, etc. before final payment was made.

The gentleman that came out was able to locate the source of the leak and proceeded to repair it at no cost. He informed me that I still has a couple of good years left on the roof and that it did not need replacements. I asked if he could check for other spots that may be problematic and he replied that he had already corrected a couple of other spots that could lead to trouble and had applied calk, also at no charge. He left me information on the cost of a replacement roof with GAF shingles.

I was thoroughly impressed with Arry's!! If this does leak again, I will call them. Honestly, after the week I'd been having Roy really restored my faith in people. Excellent, professional company.

The bid was very satisfactory, but they left part of the work for me to prepare. I was not in a position to do that. It's an asbestos roof.

When I bought my home the flat roof over the garage had recently been repaired by another roofing company for the previous owner. There was supposed to be a ''10 year'' warranty on the work. After over a year of struggling with the previous company I came onto Angie's list and found Arry's. They came on time for their appointment, gave me a fair estimate, and even offered to help me deal with the other roofing company so I wouldn't have to come out of pocket. I stayed with Arry's to do the repair and they did a great job. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Roy came out exactly on the time scheduled, to make sure that the flashing and set-back on the roof were secure and not causing a leaking problem behind the brick, and that cause was from gutters. He did a complete inspection of entire roof (4,000 sq. ft.) and checked all vents, flashing and set-backs. He was so polite and knowledgeable and stated some small issues that can be addressed at a later date. I wasn't even charged for the service call! I will definitely call him in the future and recommend the company to others.

Awesome experience. I had no less than 3 other roofing companies come out there, all of them wanting to replace the whole valley for $2-3000. Unlike all the others, Arry's actually found the problem and fixed it at no charge. Based on my talks with them and the thoroughness of the estimate to do the work, if that wasn't the leak, I would have used them to do the repair work. The life expectancy of the entire roof is getting slim at this point, so I'll definitely have them first on my list next time!

We've used them before for leaks. They are very good and very responsive. They even sent us a thank you letter. There were no problems.

They did a great job. I used them years ago, and are still pleased with them. They cleaned up every night.

The prime contractor did a pretty good job except damaged my driveway by poor handling of materials...they gave me a discount to help cover the repair cost. They subcontractor however did a poor job which left an overall bad feeling about the job.

This company, Arry's, has teams for various aspects of the work to be done. The tile removers were first.. they covered all the shrubs, etc..cleaned up daily.Next were the carpenter/repair team. They worked like artisans, going for perfection. The roofers(shingle appliers) worked as eagerly as the other teams. There was NO blaring music, in fact there was NO music. There were NO screaming voices, there was no swearing--ever. There was never any trash, papers, scraps, nails etc. left behind (except once)* a nail. Everything that was moved, was moved back.These people were more professional than most upper management professionals. The day after the first day, our van had a flat tire.. a roofing nail was in it. The team was more than helpful in assisting to get the tire repaired. Our neighbors also commented on the quality of the work and high caliber of the workers. This was a very positive experience-the work, the workers, the office,..HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The company was professional in every respect. They were prompt, friendly, worked expertly, slanted my flat roof to provide for water runoff, and cleaned up afterwards. I recommend them highly.

I LIKED THEM BECAUSE THERE WAS NO YELLING OR CURSING AND I'VE HAD BAD EXPERIENCES WITH WORK CREWS IN THE PAST.

THE COST WAS FAR TOO HIGH FOR LESS THAN FOUR HOURS OF WORK AND LESS THAN ONE PACK OF SHINGLES.

WHEN EVERYONE ELSE WAS TURNING US DOWN, THIS GUY WAS OUT WITHIN THREE DAYS. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A SMALL JOB, HE DID NOT TELL ME IT WAS TOO SMALL. HE CHARGED ME A REASONABLE PRICE. HE WAS COURTEOUS, SHOWED UP AND DID IT IN RECORD TIME. IT WAS A VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. HE CAME A GREAT DISTANCE TO HELP ME OUT.
