Quoted me $300 for my move and then said I had to pay $800 IN CASH or they would not release my furniture off of the truck! I called Owner/Manager and said I can't even take $800 out of ATM in one day. He said he could, and it was not his problem, and I better start calling friends and see who could help me to pay for it. Oh, and I would be charged while the movers waited for my firends to bring me $. I was told during quote I could pay with credit card. They then tried to charge me an additional 20% to use my credit card! (extra $160!!!). They took 9 hours to move a 2 bedroom 1 car garage apt from Palm Harbor to Westchase. And they couldn't get it all in the truck! I had to go back and finish moving the rest of my stuff (6 car loads) after paying them almost triple what I was quoted. Once I threatened to call the police, suddenly they started cooperating and letting me pay by credit by credit card without the extra 20%. Still cost me $800, instead of $300 AND I had to go do 6 more car loads to finish getting my stuff out of my old apartment. NIGHTMARE!!!! After I used them I saw horrible reviews on all kinds of sites saying they hold furniture on truck until you go get cash. DONT EVER USE YOUR BEST MOVE!!!!! IT WAS MY WORST MOVE!!!!

This company has 50 complaints lodged against it to the Better Business Bureau! If you check other reviews, on average this company has a 50% satisfaction rating. Would you take your chances on one of the most stressful days with this company. Review Merchants Circle, CitySearch, google and other reviews as well. Read below for more info on how the owner treats people. Don't use this company! The owner has a history of treating customers and especially women rudely. My daughter received a quote from this company via text and scheduled a move. The day of the move the company did not show up. My daughter called the owner and he said he did not have her scheduled and didn't move people for the price quoted (it was the price advertised on his web page). Even though he knew her name he constantly referred to her as "Lady". Not only that but he swore at her and hung up on her. When I called him he was very nice because I was a male. He did not have an excuse for me and offered to try and make it out in the afternoon. I said he treated my daughter very differently then me at which point he reverted back to his normal behavior and was rude and hung up on me. "Your Best Move" has a track record of treating their clients rudely....citysearch says he has a 52% satisfaction rating. Which means if you hire them you have 48% chance of his company treating you rudely, not showing up, or ruining your furniture. Do you want to take that chance? Your money is better spent elsewhere. I wonder how he treats his employees?

They arrived a half hour late which I honestly didn't think much of. They did a walk through of the house while I explained the order that the truck should be loaded based on how the new house was laid out and where the furniture would go in. They said, "no problem...should be a couple of hours to load and 2-3 to unload". They then pulled out a waiver/ contract that stated all the stipulations which would have been nice to know up front. as well as the fact that they would load the furniture but would not unload untill I had paid. Payment would be based on time spent loading , plus an estimate of time to unload. I was originally quoted an hourly rate, but the fact that they were figuring out the time before it actually happened was a bit odd. I had already planned a move and needed to get started so i signed and they began moving. Then they asked a funny question...." Do you have any boxes or packing tape?" Me: Huh? your the movers...dont you have tape and boxes.? Movers: Only if the client request it. Me: That would have been nice to know before hand. So I began scrambling to find tape, boxes, saran wrap, etc...so the "movers" i hired could do their job. This is when it hit me that I was going to regret ever hiring this company. Things began to go a little smoother, and actually seemed to be going well when the first piece of furniture was broken, loading it into the truck. A book shelf that had survived 2-3 different moves without a scratch was reduced to several pieces of wood. I didn't see what happenned and still don't actually know what happenned, but they managed to laugh about it afterwards. At this time I decided that there were several pieces that I would break down and move myself...even though that is what I was paying them for. So that is what I did ...and it saved me a bit of worry. On the way over to the new house they either stopped for food or got lost...but an hour later they showed up at my new house. They did a tally of time spent, a projection of time left and gave me a bill, which I had to pay before they would unload. Upon payment they began unloading and piece number two gets broken....they apparently dont like to take the drawers out of the dressers ...because it means an extra trip. On the way up the stairs a dresser drawer shot out, flewdown the stairs, striking the wall several times beforeshatering into several pieces, when it collided with the ceramic tile. They began to jam it back together quickly when I realized the dove tails had been destroyed and fixing would actually reqire tools and talent not brute force. I took the pieces from them then I removed the rest of the drawers from the dresser. They were very appologetic and kept talking about the bad day they were having. As I was doing my walk through I found nicks and bumps on nearly every piece of wooden furniture except the ones I broke down and moved . Then I found as many as 5 and no less than 3 scuffs on every piece of leather furniture they moved. I would never use these guys again.
Description of Work: They loaded my furniture onto a truck at my old house, drove it 5 miles and unloaded it at the new house.

Horrible experience!!! The company gave an inexpensive quote for 3 men and a truck for $90 plus a service fee of $90 for an all day move of a baby grand, big screen TV, loft bed, and large entertainment center, and the owner David Lee assured me that the baby grand was fully covered under his insurance and that his movers were experts. The movers showed up on time on the move date and I signed the contract. The movers damaged a bannister, wood floor, and the the wall in 2 places moving the large screen TV down the stairs, and they also broke the remote sensor and speaker screen off the front of the TV. They were unable to put the baby grand legs back on when they put the wrong bolts into the wrong holes and stripped the bolts, and they ended up (after 2 hours of work charging me $90/hour) just leaving the piano on its side in my living room. With half the items still to be unloaded, they demanded full payment and when I refused to pay in full because of the piano and other damages, they drove off with the rest of my possessions. They ignored my pleas, and calls and emails from my lawyer. I ended up paying them $1035 to get my items returned, which they refused to reassemble, and some of which were just dumped on my driveway, and now I want to sue them for the $387 to fix my piano, plus some more to cover the other damages and overpayment but I am having trouble finding out an address or official information to even be able to serve a complaint. It is a nightmare!!!!!!

I wish I had read AngiesList before trusting them to move all of my expensive furniture. They tore my leather couch and shattered one of the legs of my wooden coffee table. I was told by the movers to call the office in the morning and they would figure out how to repair or replace the items, but when I called the office, they told me I was out of luck and that all they could do was send me a check for $60 to buy a leather repair kit. Do not do business with these people.

The guys that did the move were ok - it was the office people. I had checked in advance if they took American Express which they assured me they did on more then one occasion. When it came time to pay the guy came in and asked me for payment, which I gave him my Am Ex card. He came back and said that it was declined. I then called American Express and they said it was declined because of the company not having a good standing account with them. They mover then called into the office to tell them that and they told him to get another form of payment. I did not have one and the office told them to lock up the truck with some of my items in it and come back to the office (they purposely leave some heavy items on the truck until you make payment). I would not let them lock the truck and called the Sheriff. The Sheriff came out and said he could not do anything because it was a contract issue and that I was basicly screwed. He then left and I gave another credit card which the office then said I had to pay in cash. They had me at that point and were being very unreasonable. Very Shady company. They new they did not take American Express and said they did just to get the job.
