Westfall Roofing

We wanted gutters done as well as a couple of small repairs, but they only do new roofs. The guys who came out were very professional and courteous. He took pictures of everything and let me know what needed to be done.

Ryan Westfall was very helpful throughout the entire process. He took the time to answer my questions about the different roofing materials and helped me make an informed decision. Westfall's roofing crews did a great job replacing our old roof and were very professional.

All the material, equipment and workers were on site in a timely manner. The worker were very focused on their jobs and professional. The process took roughly three days and Westfall roofing to all precautions to protect my property. After the replacement of the shingles were complete, all equipment, leftover materials and especially nails were removed.

Crew started promptly on time and finished on time. Team addressed all of my concerns.

The experience was amazing. The sales person was great. He was honest and on time. The installers were professional, on time and completed the job on time and it looks great. The project manager and office staff were polite and helpful.

Scheduling an appointment with Westfall Roofing was quick and easy. The estimator (Gabe) arrived on time and was friendly and professional. He answered all of my questions and offered me a very good roofing system at a competitive price. I had a positive experience with this company and would definitely recommend you call them for an estimate if you're in need of roofing services.

I confirmed with them since I am out of town and was asking a favor of a friend to go meet them at my house for an estimate. I confirmed that morning since they were forecasting a storm but was told everything is still running to schedule unless something happens later with the weather. Anyways, although there was rain and minor flooding in some streets there was by no means no way of meeting my friend at my house for the appointment. Obviously my friend drove and was waiting by my house for more than 40 mins for the guy who kept saying he was on his way but never showed, and finally said he was just stuck b/c of all the flooding. Was never called to reschedule or apologize.

I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Westfall Roofing. Our troubles came right after Hurricane Hermine and Westfall Roofing was the only company answering phone calls and scheduling to conduct repairs. They were on time, professional and courteous! I will definitely be recommending them to family and friends and will be using them in the future if any roofing needs should arise!

They were wonderful. The same crew was here each day. They worked in the hot July sun from early in the morning and didn't quit (weather permitting) until 6. They stripped off the old and replaced with the new. They covered the house ground perimeter with tarps to catch the debris and had one individual who did nothing but walk around and pick up all the bits and pieces . We had quite a large roof, over 5,000 square feet to cover with multiple valleys. We decided on the Owens Corning roof. We asked and they provided, addresses where we could see roofs since picking out a shingle from a 3 inch by 1 inch swatch is not what we wanted to do. Our salesman was no pressure. We got a total of 3 bids and felt that Westfall's was fair. And of course we checked on Angie's List to see what others had to say. We waited to do a review to insure no more leaks and it seems that everything is buttoned up tight. We've had some heavy rains and wind and everything is dry. We are very happy with the results and our roof looks great.

Made the appalment on Sept. 13th for a roof repair estimate on the 21st of Sept. Never showed up and no one called me. I was calling them most of the afternoon with NO results! NOW I have to wait another 2 weeks to get an estimate in my roof. THANK YOU FOR WASTING MY TIME!!!!!

Estimator came out and said he would get on roof to look at the problem. He said he would have an estimate within 2 days. I told him I would wait for him to finish but I went inside the house to let the dog out in the back yard. When I returned he was gone and I have never received any information. In speaking to him, it was somewhat clear that they would not be interested in doing a repair but rather put on a new roof. He should have been honest and said they didn't do repairs. When I am ready to get a new roof I will not be calling Westfall Roofing. I'm giving them a D rating due to the fact that he at least showed up otherwise I would rate with an F.

The bid was prompt and thorough, and came in very reasonable. There was great communication between homeowners, workers, supervisors and the owner of the company. Because of this, considering the size of the job (7 buildings), it went well. We had a couple repeating issues with one building, but the Westfall stayed on top of things with the Board so it was resolved as quickly as possible. Whenever an issue was brought up by either an owner or supervisor, it was resolved in a timely manner. During this time, we also called on them to perform small repairs on other buildings. We have voted to make Westfall our new roof repair company. Their response time to a repair call is very reasonable. We know how difficult diagnosing a repair can be, sometimes requiring more than one visit. They would keep at it until finally resolved. The only issue we experienced that was frustrating, they left our new roofing job to complete another job elsewhere. This delayed us by almost two weeks. There was no explanation for this other than, "we'll be back asap". They did return, but we wished they would have remained to finish us first. We plan on completing the remaining 7 buildings next spring. Westfall will be given first opportunity to bid for the remaining work. I would recommend this company for small repairs to large multi-unit jobs.

Great! They came out and provided an estimate the same day I called, as they happened to be in the area. They completed the work within a few weeks, as promised. They were able to do the work while I was at work. They did such a great job cleaning up and blending the new shingles with the old, that I didn't even know the work was done. When I emailed to inquire, they sent me photos to prove it was done. The real proof was when the tropical storm rains came a few days later and my roof wasn't leaking anymore. They were very polite, timely, and professional. I would definitely recommend them. Most importantly, I thought the price was very fair.

We've had drama with roofing companies over the years, so we took our time and spoke with quite a number of roofing companies before deciding to move forward. This company was not the least (or most) expensive, but their salesman Jeff spent time with us going over our options, worked with us on the contract requirements, and gave us all of the options we were looking for. Our weather caused some challenges during the install, and we are certainly demanding customers, but Westfall listened to us, did what they said they would do, and only took final payment once we were happy. I'd highly recommend this company.

Flawless. West fall confirmed a start date but actually started two-weeks earlier. All good. Work done was far superior to the original roofing job. Plus Westfall gave me the option of roofing covers. Did not push higher end option. No pressure sales. Very knowledgable sales representative.

Sales person came out to provide an estimate. I booked it as soon as I got the quote because water was leaking into our house and all roofers were scheduled at lest 4-6 weeks out. Company came out to repair leaks in September. They told me everything was fixed and send me an invoice. I went on vacation for 5 days and came back to water all over my bedroom. The leaks were not fixed. Company came out again to fix leaks. I waiting until it rained before paying the invoice. Fixes did work so I paid the invoice. June (10 months later) water is leaking all over our bedroom in the exact same spots. It also looks like the water stain in on my office ceiling is getting bigger, but luckily water has never leaked into my house from that spot. There was no warranty on the work so I'm having them come out again to give me another quote because the leaks need to stop. The roof is less than 10 years old so I shouldn't have to get the same leaks repaired every summer. Overall they did the work, price was reasonable, but it was a very temporary fix and I have no idea why.

April 20th 2016 arrangements were made to have someone come by the house the next day to assess the scope of work. On the day of the appointment i received a nice email from Sherri Westfall reminding me of the time and providing me the name of the gentleman who would be doing the appraisal, Jeff D’Amore. I did not hear back from them for a month and contacted them May 24th inquiring about the estimate. I was informed that someone did go to the house and the email was sent. I explained to them that i received their appointment email and do not have another email from them in the spam folder. Apologies were made and i was informed the bid would be emailed out. 14 days later(the time of writing this review) i have not received the quote.

I searched for 'A' rated roofers on Angie's list - so, ok? 1 is a s good as the other? No...I kept noticing a red GAF logo symbol for many roofers so I Googled that - it turns out the logo is for North America's largest shingles manufacturer and they have a stringent certification program, if you will a 'how a roofer must install our shingles training program' that companies must take annually. I chose 3 GAF 'Master Elite' builders from Hillsborough County that were also 'A' rated on Angie's list and got bids in mid-April. Westfall had the lowest price, undercutting the nearest competitor by over $1000. From the start, the company has been top notch. The office staff when I first called for an appointment to get an estimate were cordial and made me feel they were interested in doing my roof - even at 4:50PM on a Friday when I had called. I was given my representative's name ("Gabe") and the appointment was made (time of my choice the following Thursday). Gabe was punctual and his presentation was affable and knowledgeable and I received the written proposal with the estimate by email the same day .A week later when I made my decision to have Westfall do the job, I stipulated a couple of different items for the job and the revised proposal was very timely delivered. At this point I needed to meet with Gabe again and sign the actual contract, building permit application, choose my roof color etc. He was amenable to come to my office so I could save time and not have to leave work to go home. After signing the contract, he said it was just a matter of getting my job scheduled then I'd have my new roof within a few weeks. This was on Tuesday April 26th. I expected to hear back in a week or so and had been told the job would likely be 2 days. Gabe called me Thursday morning. A job Westfall had planned on Friday the 29th was being unavoidably postponed/rescheduled. They already had a large work crew lined up for the 29th and would I be willing to have the roof done tomorrow and with more labor on site, it would only take a day instead of 2. (it would be completed late in the day but still only 1 day) Of course I said YES. We coordinated that the crew would arrive at 7:30 the following morning and I would show the foreman the location of outdoor electrical outlets. The foreman rang my doorbell at 7:30 (really! that precise!) Friday morning and I left for work. They were still at it when I returned home about 6:15 but most of it was done. I took my laptop indoors and then went back outside to watch: Fascinating - how fast the nailing went, how systematic the process was, there were 2 men on the ground but 6 or 7 up there on the house and how some could keep balanced on those slopes. And it was hot. I went back indoors about 6:45 to start dinner and the nailing/noise subsided in short order. The foreman rang the doorbell at 7:39 informed me the job was complete and announced their departure. OK - I thought well I'll see how well they cleaned up since the time from no nailing to departure seemed too brief to clean for a construction job....Guess what? I couldn't find nails or debris or trash or roof parts in the yard. The invoice was emailed to me several days later including the agreed upon additional charges for 3 replacement plywood sheets beyond the number of sheets included in the original price quote. When Gabe and I met for him to collect my payment he also walked my yard and couldn't find nails, debris etc. My roof looks great. Lastly I was home when the Hillsborough County Building inspector did his final review. He asked me what firm had done the work - he was very pleased with the workmanship quality.

This was a fantastic experience! The estimator came out in the morning, determined what would be needed and sat in my driveway preparing the estimate on his iPad. It was in my email by the time I got back in the house. I printed it, signed it, and emailed it back to the office, expecting to have to wait 2-3 weeks for an opening on their calendar. Within half a hour the office called to say they had received the estimate and that the scheduling department would get back to me; it might be 1-2 weeks, she said. Fifteen minutes later the scheduling department called and asked if I would be home that afternoon, as they had an opening!! Both the estimator and the roofer arrived within five minutes of their appointment times and the work was finished within about two hours. The invoice arrived by email, as did my copy marked PAID. What a delight to work with such a professional company! I will certainly call them when I am ready to replace my roof and highly recommend them!

Knowing I had to replace my roof soon and the cost that comes along with the project I received several estimates from roofing companies in the area. All of the estimates were pretty much in the same ball park when it came to price and warranty. I chose Westfall roofing based on their employees! I want to thank Gabriel for taking the time to explain everything in detail to my wife and I as well as helping us pick out what shingles will look good with the horrible paint color my wife picked out (shhhhh don't tell her I said that). I will admit the new roof definitely adds character to the house and now I do not have to repaint. Gabriel always quickly replied to my text and phone calls no matter the day or time and even came out on a earlier Saturday morning to give an estimate when other companies would not. When the day arrived to replace the roof the crew were on time and extremely polite and respectful to my family and I. Our home is just over 2,700 sqft and they completed the job in 2 days! They kept the work site extremely clean during the job and put extra care into the clean up process after. The process was painless and I couldn't have asked for a better company. Thank you again to Gabriel and the crew!!

I would like to thank Kirk Westfall (owner) and his team for doing a great job with my new roof. They are professional and take care of the details like insurance, notice of commencement, lien release, inspection, following code, etc. The supervision of the crews on the job was excellent. Much of the time by Kirk. The 2 crews, tear-off and tile installers were experienced and had been with Westfall a long time. All involved cared about the job and that it was done right. My job was a big job that took 3 weeks. It was all coordinated well and challenges such as weather, etc. were dealt with effectively. These folks are busy so I had to wait in line to get the job started but once that happened, they stayed on it until completion. Their communication and responsiveness with me during the job were excellent. I recommend them and would use them in the future.

long story short, we are not satisfied with the quality of the work performed.

They took time to explain the process and allowed me the opportunity to ask questions. The entire staff was professional and were very helpful in every aspect of the installation. I was so impressed with them that I recommended them to my parents.

The roof was completed ahead of schedule. They put down tarps around the house to catch and debris falling off the roof. Job was completed in a day. Communicated the need to additional repairs beyond the orginal quote.
