The initial contact and estimate process went well. Josh was very knowledgeable and had a clear plan of what we wanted to accomplish with this project. He was able to give me a couple of options. The date came for our install and they showed up on site with the wrong windows. Communication between their office and mine went back and forth for a bit as to what was supposed to be done. They finally, after looking back at the original paperwork, noticed they were wrong and put my old windows back in and said the office would be in touch with me to schedule another install time. That was in June. We then had to wait another 3 weeks to get the new windows in. They showed up at the end of July to do the install. The 2 men they sent out seemed to have a problem getting things going and were instructed several times by our maintenance chief on site that what they were doing would cause leaks. They installed the new windows over the course of a week. They look good with the exception of how much of a lip that is tilted back towards the windows themselves where the water from rain now puddles and stands and will eventually cause water damage. They were notified while installing this would happen because of the lip they left, yet nothing was done to resolve this issue.

An excellent overall experience!! The gentleman that came out to make the final measurements was courteous and professional. He even made templates of the more difficult windows to insure there would be no fit issues. From the start they communicated the time line very accurately. After a couple of weeks passed, they set out a letter to update the progress and insure us that everything was on schedule. The installation was scheduled for two days and they finished as promised. They were on time both days and preformed a quality installation. The most important thing is they left my house clean and in the condition they found it. I called the office to get the information to process my Duke Energy rebate. I was instructed to send the forms in and they would prepare it for me. Great customer service!

Bidding the same product (PGT Windows and Doors of Sarasota County), Weathertite was $11,000 more than the low bidder and $7000 more than the next higher bidder. Considering all three bidders were proposing the same PGT products and all were highly rated by Angie's List, we went with the low bidder and are very happy with the installation and the product.

Windows were broken on site and pieces were scattered all over driveway Windows on top of front door are coming apart. Called to see if someone comes to fix it. Afraid that with the hurricane season approaching that the window is going to fly away. Expensive compared with similar windows on the market. Decided not to replace the remaining windows with them.

It went horribly. I asked over five or six times for an itemized quote. He sent an email with ten attachments, all useless, including a scan of his business card. But that was in response to "can you please explain how you arrived at $18k by itemizing this quote?" All this company will give you is their cost; they will not explain how they arrived at their cost. If you expect an itemized quote, don't bother calling, you won't get one. Even if you point out to the man how silly he is being.

The reps showed up timely and professional in attire. They measured and gave us numerous options. We had everything agreed upon and signed paperwork within a half hour. They called and followed up and gave us a good discount. The door was special ordered and arrived earlier than planned, and installed earlier than planned. The installers were wonderful. They were professional, friendly, worked really well together and cleaned up every speck before they left. There was a little issue with the fit, but they fixed it, and after a few weeks, there was a little issue with the screen coming off the track, but they fixed that quickly, without a problem. This was a great experience.

I dropped by the Weathertite showroom to inquire about replacing a wooden and glass exterior door with a similar looking door made of materials more appropriate for our weather. Met an employee who was very, very nice. I liked the product he showed me and he seemed to know the product details reasonably well. He was a newer employee and was not actually a salesperson, but was learning that side of the business as well. I made an appointment for the employee to come to my home, measure the door and its opening, and submit a quote. He arrived on time and was very nice. He answered all my questions. For the questions to which he did not know the answer, he called "Mr. Hollander", the owner. I felt comfortable that my concerns were addressed fairly and knowledgeably. I made it very clear that I was on a very strict timeline. I would be going out of town and the new door absolutely had to be installed before I left. I was assured that, with although the company preferred more time, my timeframe was workable. I met with 2 other contractors. Weathertite's quote was in the middle of the three quotes. As I really liked the salesperson, I decided to go with Weathertite. The salesperson gave me his cell phone number, and was always very receptive to my calls, returned calls promptly, and even came to my house in the evening of April 2 to do the paperwork for my order. I gave him a down payment of $492.00. Again, I let him know that the MOST important piece of this puzzle was the installation date. Although it would be close, he said they could put a rush on it and have it installed before I left. I was told they would send an engineer out to measure the area and once that was done, the order would be submitted. The company's commitment to my order was not finalized until the engineer had signed off on it. I was told I could cancel my contract within 3 days. It took nearly a week before they could send an engineer to my home. This delay was due to their schedule, not mine. Once the engineer arrived, I learned that my salesperson had listed the wrong product on my contract, and that my door opening was an unusual size and so the door would need to be special ordered. The engineer said he would check with his manufacturer to see if they could meet my time constraints. I was not upset by this news and still planned to work with the company in the future if this job didn't work out. I had no problem with the fact that my salesperson was learning the ropes and might have made a mistake. Indeed, once we saw that my door was an unusual size, I asked the engineer to look at a couple of other things I would need to replace in the near future. I wanted to get his ideas about what the best products for those areas would be. It was more than a week before I heard back from the company. My salesperson called, and left me a message apologizing for his mistake. He said that the special order door I would need could not be delivered before my trip. I believe there were now 4 weeks before my trip. He offered the option of having it installed while I was away, although I had told him when he came to my home the first time that this would not work. I then returned his call and left him a voicemail telling him that I could not continue with this order due to the scheduling issue. I thanked him for his efforts. I did not speak to him again. I then called another company, which made my door locally. It was installed on May 2. The whole process with this company took less than 3 weeks. In July, I received a call from Weathertite trying to schedule my installation. This was quite a surprise to me. After I explained the situation, the lady from Weathertite said she would figure out what happened and call me back. It was my salesperson who called. After some discussion, and two phone calls, during which I stated that under no circumstance would I pay the balance due for a door I did not order, he said he would see if he could fix it so that I only lost my deposit (which the company still had). I found this to be unacceptable as well. He said he would work it out with his bosses and call me back. I did not receive any more calls. I did not receive return calls or messages to the calls I made to him. In September, October, and November I made numerous calls to Michael Hollander, owner of Weathertite. I was never able to reach him. The many messages I left with his staff were unanswered. I am sure I don't have to explain the frustration and anger I felt and still feel about this situation. I was more than understanding about the situation until Weathertite held me responsible for their mistake. My theory is that they had a new salesperson who was excited about making a sale. He was probably sensitive, as well, to my satisfaction and really wanted to "help me" replace my door. Unfortunately, he dropped the ball and instead of a satisfied future customer, they have an angry, dissatisfied "customer". What I find most troublesome is that the owner, Michael Hollander, showed such a low level of integrity. His many television commercials indicate that he is very interested in building this company. We have enough shady contractors. My experience with Mr. Hollander and his company leads me to believe that he belongs in that category.

The installers arrived just before 8 AM and immediately started the job. There were two installers and after getting the first window wrecked out, the second man went to removing the old windows while the other set about fitting the new windows. They had a good system going and the work went like clock work. Both of them were very knowledgeable and professional. They finished the job in one day and after finishing they cleaned up everything and left nothing behind. They then set about instructing my wife and I on the operation of the new windows and then had us fill out the forms requesting the inspection. They were probably not the cheapest firm for the job but I would rather pay a little more for a good outcome for the job and I certainly feel that is what I got. Overall, a very good experience right from the the salesperson through to completion

Weather Tite was about a month late in starting the installation. Even more frustrating was that It took multiple calls to finally get someone to get back to me with a new date of when the windows would arrive and be installed. When the windows arrived, the half-circle or crescent windows were made very screwy and had to be replaced and re-installed several weeks later. Once the installation was complete, Weather Tite sent an inspector out who informed me that that the sliding doors (3 of them) were not installed correctly - being held in place by only two screws. The Weather Tite inspector sent the original installer back out to complete the work/job, but never came back again to ensure that it was actually done correctly. Given that he spent only minutes doing a very quick inspection in the first place, and never came back again, I felt very uncomfortable about the installation quality of the windows that were not inspected. Some of the 'bolts' installed for the hurricane window covers were either missing altogether or loose. The 'finishing' work (which was originally going to be done by the 'inspection guy') took several days to finally get scheduled and completed. I, in fact, had to call a couple of times about it. Ultimately it was the same installation guys who came out and finished the 'finishing' work. Am ultimately unclear as to why that could not have been done at the time of installation. They originally told me that it couldn't be done until the Weather Tite 'inspection' was finished. While the installation guys were very nice, and seemingly knew what they were doing, it was clear that they were very much over-scheduled, and obviously struggling to get my windows properly installed in the amount time allocated for the job.

Kyle came to my home and I picked out the type of door that I wanted. Kyle told me an engineer would come by in a week to take final measurements for the door.I paid the full amount of $1,251 for the door & install. No one from the company called to advise me on the engineers arrival.I tried calling Kyle, but was told he was out of town. At that time they said they have been trying to reach me, and gave me dates they called. I asked if they left a message, since my answering machine is on 24/7.They said they did, but the machine showed NONE. I asked what number did you call, and they mentioned my number. If a business calls a customer, they should leave a message as to what they want to discuss with you. When Kyle returned he called me and said "We need more money,I put the wrong door number on the paperwork." When he was at my home, I saw him look at the door number in the catalog then checked it to make sure it was correct. I asked him what was the extra money for? He told me the permit. At that time I cancelled the order. He told me he refund my money in full- which they did. I checked them out on Angies List and saw good reviews.I have no idea what happened in my particular situation. I was REALLY looking forward to getting a new door.

My experience went well. The staff was professional and knowledgeable in their field. There was an issue with mold which they found when they took out the window and they told me they would not take care of that issue so I had to find an outside company for the mold issue. The pricing was reasonable and I was pleased with the outcome of the service.

We researched this company and we will be using them for installation on November. The quote was fair. It's definitely not reasonable or cheap but it was in the correct range. We can get the products anywhere but I went with them because of the professionalism and knowledge of the original salesperson, the company has been in the business for a while, and also because we got them through Angie's List. They're marketing big time in our area. I feel like they are trustworthy. The salesperson was an A. He's very responsive and had very good communication with the sales. I have not had very much contact with the crew yet.

We requested the quote through Costco and this company sent a sales rep to measure and provide a quote. He showed up on time on a Saturday. When asked about our other quotes, we gave him our lowest price and company. He immediately began trying to bash the other companies quality, strength, and warranty on the product and stated that they are only good for houses you don't live in. I do not agree with and do not like to do business with people who down talks someone else instead of just stating what he himself can provide. When he was told that we had a better price on the door, his response was that the other company quoted it wrong. Salesperson had the wrong attitude.

fantastic I met them at the January home show in Tampa's Convention Center. I compared their price, service, subcontractors with four others. The had the 2nd best price and do not use sub-contractors. They allowed me to go to their showroom for an initial quote and so that I could see the actual products. They made an appointment with me for final measurements for the date a week from when I called. The installer/measurer was 5 minutes early both for the measurement and delivery. They were very professional and courteous, and clean. The door had to have brick molding installed on the outside, only one other bidder could do that. Weather-Tite did a very good job. It looks original to the house and very classy. They asked when I'd want the Tampa Building Inspector to review their work. The inspector came on the date requested and everything passed. The final step was installation of finishing rails that had to wait for Tampa Inspector's approval. They came out two days after I requested, were 10 minutes early, quickly finished the job. We are very pleased and will use them again, if and when we replace any windows or doors.

Exceptionally outstanding! A+++ From the first meeting at the house to follow-up for satisfaction of installation there was not one surprise. We shopped quite a bit and received four bids. In the end it was their product knowledge and professionalism combined with price that won out. After the fact, even if they were a little higher I would still go with them because what we got was the best - high quality windows and doors WITH a highest quality install. The Weather-tite team was fantastic with communication, explanation of the installation process, verification of the order, and on and on. We went with the PGT windows and sliders. SInce we were at it the exterior entry doors were replaced with hurricane quality fiberglass doors that look just as good as wooden doors. Our electric bill immediately dropped and no more 'heat curtain' by the windows. Drop in outside noise very noticeable. Workmanship and installation hardware is top-notch and the install crew very knowledgable of the product. We could not be happier. You can't go wrong with product, price, or customer service with weather-tite. They do it right. Would recommend in a heart-beat! ****UPDATE**** Three years on an they are still just like brand new when installed. No issues with hardware or function whatsoever. So, so, so happy with these windows and sliders.
