I think that the pricing could have been better. I like the pgt windows, which is onexactly of the reasons for choosing them. I thought they had all their own employees do installs, only to find out that they too like many others sub contract the install. this is where I had issues. the caulking on the windows was horrible In my opinion and several windows appeared to be bowing on the bottom. they came out several times to heat tge vinyl and trim some for better fit. had a bad glass replaced on a window, they were very good at replacing this. they have been very good at keeping appointments and staying in contact.

They took measurements & ordered the doors, and I waited 6 weeks for the doors. I took a day off work yo be home for the installation. The workers removed my existing doors & discovered the new door was not the right size, so they had to put my old doors back in place & I had to wait another week for the new doors. I had to call them back several times because the doors were not properly sealed. Recently, I had some pressure washing done and water leaked into my living room. Also, I ordered the French doors with the built in blinds & one of the blinds is broken & cannot be lowered. I would not recommend them for door installation., bad experience!

On time, professional, excellent installers and customer service. Got a few estimates and what impressed me most was their labor warranty. The salesman was thorough and educated us on code, install, product, energy efficiency and what to expect. They sent a professional measure tech to make sure our house was receiving custom sized windows. The installers were incredible. They kept very clean and were efficient. I was very impressed with the quality of materials they used and their attention to detail. They even vacuumed before they left! I would highly recommend.

I am well-pleased with the final results of this entire project. The installed windows and doors are of the highest quality, as well as the construction of the enclosed lanai. The entire project has certainly enhanced the overall look of my home. I have also received many positive comments from my neighbors about the "new look".

Everyone I dealt with was extremely professional and helpful. The measurements for the windows were completed by two different individuals including taking pictures of each window to be replaced. I was very impressed with the installers as they made sure that all areas were protected from the installation process. Every question I had was explained in detail. It was a pleasure working with all the people I was in contact with. All were friendly and professional. I highly recommend WeatherTite to anyone who wants to improve their home with updated windows and doors. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

The sales person arrived on time and was neat and pleasant. We requested that he give us his best price as we were getting other estimates. The first estimate the Weather Tite rep gave us was $20,000 more than our next highest estimate. He did not give us a breakdown by unit so we could see that the advertised free items and discounts were applied or choose whether to get part or all of the units done this year. When we asked about a cash price, it was lowered less than 10%. Then, when we told the salesperson we had an estimate that was much better, he said they would match it after calling to check on a "model home" price program. He acted like he was relieved to find out that the program was available to us, but we felt like he was using a stepped sales script, didn't give us the best price out the chute and was disrespecting our intelligence. We advised we had another estimate to get. We went with GJC out of Port Charlotte who had been very transparent in pricing and had good reviews. ( We'll post on them after the job is done.) We then got a call from someone else at Weather tite stating that our salesperson made a measuring estimate on our sliding glass doors and therefore our price would be about $2000 less than the best price quoted. It was suggested that we might cancel our signed contract with the other company within the three day cooling off window and go with Weather Tite. We did not trust the company at that point and would not revoke our contract. If they had given us the best price initially, they may have had the job.
Description of Work: We asked for an estimate on replacing all of our doors and windows. We were given different prices that kept declining after initial objections.

They installed windows, did not replace any bad wood, did not caulk to make windows weather tight. Refused to call in an inspection, and they took there time coming back to replace rotten wood, I sent pictures to the number they provided. After inspecting windows after the tenant vacated, I have found that they do not open properly. They have never had them inspected as suspect they know they will not pass the city inspection. I would not reccomend them to anyone.

We called and scheduled an appt. The Phone staff seemed competent when I spoke with him. I scheduled an appointment and had to reschedule. I called back and rescheduled and they said no problem. Saturday morning they were supposed to be at our home at 10AM, my wife and I both cleared our schedule and cancelled our children's activities so we could be there. At 9:45 we received a call to confirm our appointment on a different date. I explained to them that they were supposed to be here in 15 minutes and that we were waiting. The caller apologized and said they couldn't come because the appointment was never changed. I understand that these things happen. I just don't feel I can rely on a company to install all my windows and doors when they can't get their scheduling under control. This is a horrible first impression Weather Tight.

I can recommend Weather Tite without reservation. I must say that I was skeptical because some of their reviews on Angie's List were less than stellar. I ended up getting a bid because at the same time I was doing my research, a neighbor was using Weather Tite and she was very happy. By the time I called Weather Tite I had several bids in hand. I am pleased that I called because they were competitive and flexible in regard to my schedule. The windows took about 8 weeks to arrive but I was out of town so we scheduled the installation a week later. Gene and John were my installers and they were wonderful! They are professional, polite, punctual and hard working. They were challenged by the rainy weather but the crew showed up on time each day and worked around the house where the rain would not deter their work. Gene and John kept the job site clean and were thoughtful by putting up plastic while working on the patio doors. They worked nearly non-stop while at the house and they finished the job on time. I would hire them again if the need arose.
Description of Work: Weather Tite replaced 18 windows, 2 sliding patio doors and the entry door at my house. All windows and doors were hurricane/impact resistant. They used the new PPG windows and patio doors.

They were extremely professional and thorough. Approximately 6 months after installation I had a very minor issues (end caps on access holes at the base of one of the sliding doors required during installation) and they responded very quickly and stopped by and installed even though I offered to have them mail the end caps to me and I would installed.

The gentleman took about 2 and a half hours of my time going over specifics. He said he would be back a couple of days later, and he refused to give me any of the information he wrote down stating that I would receive it with the final contract. They missed their appointment, so I called the office and spoke with the service manager. Someone claiming they were the president later called to apologize, but this was not satisfactory after the experience I had with them. These people are very inefficient and do not have any courtesy for their clients.

From start to finish they were professional. We had a prior experience that went badly so they were very aware that were a little gun shy. They came out 3 times to be sure they had correct measurements for our eyebrows in the front windows and over the door. Installers came on time. Finished in 2 days and were neat and professional. We would highly recommend.

We contacted Weather Tite in October 2014 to give us an estimate to replace the french door and transom window in our condo. Grant, the salesperson, came to give an estimate. He showed up on time and was very professional and courteous. Grant was very responsive to emails and phone calls as we had a lot of questions about the process of replacing doors/ windows according to condo regulations and building code in Tampa. We contracted with Weather Tite to do the installation. Everything went off as promised, with a six week order time and installation done on the date that was convenient for us to be there. We had the door/window installed on December 19, 2014. The installers, Gene and John, showed up on time and completed the job in a prompt and professional manner. They were wonderful to work with. They cleaned up after installation and answered all our questions. We are very pleased with choosing Weather Tite and will be contacting them in the future to replace two bedroom windows. Their price for the job was higher than another estimate we received but we decided to go with Weather Tite because of their professional demeanor and responsiveness. We are waiting for heavy rain to make sure the door/window does not leak but so far are very pleased. We would highly recommend Weather Tite.

Did an excellent job, were right on time, neat, and professional. Liked the job and windows so much that we called them back the next month to replace our two remaining architectural windows over the front door and bath. Kept us apprised of the status of our job, and afterwards took care of all paperwork regarding electric company rebate, county inspection, etc. Most definitely would do business with them again and have recommended them to friends.

Moved into home in 2013. Went through first "winter" with wind howling through sliders and "critters" getting in through windows that builder put into home. Received an estimate in Sept. 2014 from Weather Tite. A bit pricey but we wanted PGT Winguard (Hurricane impact resistant) windows and doors throughout and knew we would pay more than for standard double paned windows. My neighbor had used this company about three months before to replace three windows and recommended them. Josh Smith & another installer (I apologize for not remembering his name) came out and installed all windows and doors in three days time! Fantastic job performed! They cleaned up after themselves (which I appreciated). After inspection from County Codes, Ed (finishing expert) came out and finished the project, did some small adjustments to sliders and answered any questions. He was very informative and knowledgeable about how the PGT windows are manufactured. All employees including Adrienne (scheduling and animal lover), & Keith have been very professional and accommodating us on this project. And I have to admit that I was extremely hesitant about this project being completed without numerous callbacks but all my fears were unfounded. All in all, everyone involved was extremely accommodating, knowledgeable and available to answer questions that we had.

Our only objection was that he quoted us a high price and then kept giving discounts. Why not just quote the bottom line to begin with. Ultimately, we chose another company to do the work. Although we did not use this company, I would have no objection to recommending them.

Beware of small print contract clauses, and flashy full page newspaper ads. They got me to sign a contract, then raised the price 40% months later, saying "we did not accept the total deal" at our office, even though the salesman signed, and the President/owner reviewed it and accepted personally two deposits (in his office in Tampa) over a month apart on the well defined job proposed. They did return the deposits after raising the price, but delayed the project for months.

Upon initial phone call they were quick to set up a meeting for the estimate. They were prompt and on time. They had a special at the time of buy two windows, get one free. I'm not sure exactly how that worked as the rep never showed me the actual figures for the savings, just the bottom line. I scheduled the service and it took six weeks for the windows to come in. The installers were right on time and very professional. All was done in one day. What I did not figure on was taking yet another day off to have them inspected by the county. The county I live in will not give a window for time, just have somebody there all day. After the windows passed inspection WeatherTite had to come back out to finish the framework. Minor work which was done on a Saturday. All in all I love my new windows although I thought they were a bit pricey. The fact that the install was pretty much over with in a day made it better. I've been through many many renovations that seem to take forever.

During the purchase process, Josh Tebbe/salesman was very aggressive, pushy and bad mouthed other window firms. Their prices were EXORBITANT! Until, I showed them a quote for the same product from another company -- then they matched it, minus $100.00... HUH? why not give the good price to begin with. Josh assured me that all installers are employees of the company. The installers were subcontractors. He lied about this. The subcontractors did a good job, except they installed windows that had flaws and I had to contact PGT to get them replaced. They should have seen these flaws prior to installation. PGT has been wonderful and the product is awesome. I would not use Weathertite again.
