+ -1 moreTerrible!!! Worst experience I've ever had with a company. I have no idea how they stay in business.
Description of Work: We called USA Fence to install a vinyl fence around our property. Doug came out and gave us a quote and we told him we needed the fence as soon as we could get it. He said he would send us the contract and as soon as we sent a deposit he would schedule it and get it up. Waited 2 weeks for the contract and after calling several times, he finally sent it so we could give our deposit. I asked to have it done within about 3 weeks if possible for my husband's birthday party, to which he said he would try for us. Birthday weekend came and went and no word from anyone again. Called the office and they never have a clue about anything. Can't tell you if something is ordered, scheduled or anything else. They tell you to call the salesperson (who never answers his phone). We are now 2 after that date as well and when we called to ask when our fence is going up, again, they said call the salesperson. The next morning, they called with no warning and said they were coming (they knew we had to have our yard guy get it ready the week before), when we said we needed more notice than an hour, they rescheduled, we knew it was going to rain on the expected day so WE called them and sure enough, they weren't going to be abLe to do it that day and rescheduled to today. At 3:00pm today, I could see they still were not coming and called to see what the excuse was now (since my husband took a second wasted day off work) and they said "call your salesman". Called and called and called. Got only voicemail. Asked him to call back to let me know when it would be rescheduled, nothing. Called the office again to ask if there was even a permit pulled for my fence and there was not. My area requires one, so I told them to cancel my fence and return my $2000 deposit. Suddenly, they were able to reach him and he called me back to tell me they were coming first thing isn't he morning. I declined and told him to refund me. Now, I am back to waiting another 6 weeks for my long over do fence and looking for another company. This time of year they are all swamped so that L's to USA Fence, I am waiting a total of 3 times as long as I should have to wait for a fence. But, feel like I dodged a bullet by firing them. I'm sure the quality would have been as bad as the customer service.

Description of Work: The installation was done quickly and on time. There was a problem with an adjustment with a gate that was quickly fixed. The problem repeated itself in June and there was a slight schedulinf problem but a crew was sent out and a post was reset and the gate narrowed to avoid any future problems. The work was done at a fair price and I will use them again later this year when I fence another side of the yard.

+ -1 moreWhen USA Fence replace my neighbor's fence they left out the post that supports my fence where it meets his. Now my fence is falling over and falling apart. I called the Tampa office 10+ times in the last few months and talked to manager Jerry Wood twice who promised it would be fixed, but it still hasn't been. On 4/8/2015 I called their corporate office and they said someone would promptly call me back, but they never did. In addition they have a D+ rating on the BBB website with 2 unresolved complaints (soon to be 3).
Description of Work: Replaced neighbors fence with white vinyl.

+ -1 more. It took several calls just to get them here. They told me that the gates were on order. I'll give them that. Once the gates were installed they did not work correctly. Owners had a very difficult time getting in and out of the storage compound.I repeatedly called and asked them to come back. I finally called and asked to speak to the owner only to find out that the owner was unavailable and the person I spoke with was the only person I could deal with. Finally they came out and repaired the gates. A very frustrating experience.
Description of Work: They replaced gates on two chain link fences. These fences surround storage compounds for boats and trailers.

+ -1 moreAttempted to purchase some additional parts after my install and had a terrible experience. Once ordered I couldn't pick up too early, couldn't come to late in the day, and could not come during the lunch hour. All these parameters delayed the pick up by weeks. I had numerous missing parts in my order and had to return to the store numerous times. My 50' roll of fencing was 3' short and they refused to correct the situation. I asked for a call from the declining manager and he never returned my call. I will take my business elsewhere from now on.
Description of Work: Installed a fence and supplied additional retail fence parts.

+ -1 moreUSA Fence came out and gave us an estimate on doing fence work. They were inline with other companies. Our neighbor recommended USA Fence. The fence quality and installation was good. The lines were straight. The cleanup after the work was done could be a little better. The workers were not the best dressed, but they did get the job done. When the work was done, I left a check for the workers to take back to the office. The check never got there. The corporate administrator was not very nice and implied that his workers were not capable of bringing the check to the office. I feel that employees should be told about corporate policy regarding payments.
Description of Work: We hired USA Fence to do some fence work at our home.

+ -1 moreAgreed on sharing the cost of the middle fence with my next door neighbor. Prior to installation, the company representative/sales rep assured me that the middle fence will go where the survey shows. Come the day of installation, they installed the fence in the wrong place using all sorts of excuses. After getting attorneys involved, they moved the fence but left me with a big space between my existing wooden fence the next door neighbors new fence. They will not take the responsibility of their installation. I asked them for a simple letter assuring me that the fence will be installed on my property but unfortunately, they will not provide me with such letter. I called another company out and explained the situation. What they told me is that when and if a situation arises during a fence installation where they cannot put it exactly in the survey line, they have both parties sign off on paper that we agree to the deviation from the survey. Unfortunately, this company went ahead and installed the fence where they thought it was appropriate without my consent. This company does not know what they are doing. Stay away and save yourself major headache. Deal with a reputable company. These guys are a joke in the Tampa office.

Description of Work: "They installed three spans of wood fence in my back yard connecting to neighbors' fence in each case. the third span was installed 3"" higher than the neighbors' (two) fence it connected to. This resulted in a gap at the bottom. Then, about 5 months later, the gate on that span sagged making it inoperable. | When I called to complain with the height problem I was promised a visit three times which never materialized and I was eventually told to live with it. when I called about the gate I was promised a visit which did not happen. I called twice more which and left messages with the receptionist and I still haven't seen anybody."

+ -1 moreIf you're in a hurry, forget it. These folks move at their own speed. If you become a 'pest', as I did, your calls will not be returned. Representative who appraised the job and ultimately set it up was personable, professional and knowledgeable. Price was not the lowest solicited in my search for bids, but they are the ONLY ones who sent a rep out to look at the job site and give me studied estimate. The price seems quite reasonable. Most of the others didn't seem too interested in such a small job. After 3-1/2 weeks of waiting I called to see what the status of the job was and was given a date for installation (permitting delays was listed as a factor, which in fairness, is likely). That did not happen. A final call to the representative who came out was not returned, but the 'scheduler' did finally call back and arranged a second installation date. Two man crew arrived on that date, at the specified time, and removed the old fencing and installed the new, and the gate. It seems a professional and probably lasting job which is no doubt worth the money. The fence looks great and the gate works quite well. The crew who installed it were polite, professional and efficient and cleaned up afterward very well. Over all I'd rate the experience as positive, but not perfect.
Description of Work: Installed 50' linear feet of board on board, on site built, fence with a 6' wide gate. Removed old, existing fencing.

+ -1 moreI contacted the company and John Garcia their representative came to our home and showed us the variety of products they have. We selected the fence we wanted and he gave us a competitive bid for the complete job. We elected to purchase our fencing through John and USA Fence. They scheduled a date for the installation, and the two man crew showed up as scheduled and got to work. Frankly, I wondered if they could complete the job in one day....but at the end of the day...the job was 100% complete, and they had cleaned up so well that you couldn't tell that there had actually been work done except that the fence was there and complete. Their installers started and worked through the day....and didn't stop until they were finished. We are very happy with the results and the product. I strongly recommend USA Fence in Tampa!!

Description of Work: The fence looks great,however the process to get it installed was the problem. Spoke to the salesman and was promised that the fence would be installed before I left on vacation (approximately 2 weeks). When no once called to set up an appointment or let me know what day it would be installed I called the company and was advised that there was no way the fence could be installed in that amount of time. I tried to contact the salesman a couple of times and he never responded, Called back to the office and was basically told that it would take a few weeks just for the order to be delivered. I waited the 2 weeks and called to see if it would be installed in time and was told that it had not even been ordered yet. Jerry advised that it would be ordered this week and should be in by the following week and he would make sure it was installed. The day I returned from my vacation I still did not have a message. so I called the office and they took a message. No one returned my call, but in less than an hour someone showed up at my house unexpected and was there to install the fence. Communicaiton can be greatly improved by the office,salesman, manager, etc. Customer service is not the first priority with this company. The only nice thing I can say is the man that installed my fence was nice and did a great job installing it.

+ -1 moreI would recommend USA fence as long as you are not in a hurry to get the project done and don't mind making a lot of followup phone calls.
Description of Work: I rec'd 8 different quotes to remove my old chain link fence and install a new black vinyl coated chain link fence. USA fence was the best quote. Price and quality of fencing. Getting the quote was easy, but had to make 4 or 5 phone calls to finally get the install started. Found a few problems after the project was completed, again I had to make 5 phone calls to finally get the crew back out to correct. All issues were fixed.

+ -1 moreThe sell cycle went well - the salesman was attentive. Once I signed the contract and paid the deposit it went downhill. The product specifications were mis-handled. The salesman was almost impossible to reach. Due to insurance time requirements the incorrect product had to be installed. Calls to the company regarding install dates went unanswered. One piece of material was scratched - they told me they ordered a new piece and would come out and replace the scratched piece when it came in. I never saw them again and, quite frankly, didn't want to have them back so I spray-painted the scratches myself. They promised to use stainless tapcons when fastening the fence to the wall of my house, but used standard tapcons. They promised to replace these with stainless when they came back, but since they never came back ....

+ -1 moreWe were very happy with them. I wouldn’t want to disclose the price because I don’t know how it would help the others. I’m not sure if it would be relevant. We honestly did not get several bids and so I cannot compare their prices to anyone else. We will use their services again in the future.
Description of Work: We used USA Fence. We used their services this week for fencing. They put up a PVC privacy fence just on one side. They did not do the complete fence for us. It was for a small property.

+ -1 moreWe received quotes from 7 providers only two of which quoted using 6 foot sections. John Garcia, the company's representative gave us a fair qoute and then came to our house two more times to discuss changes. He was right on time each visit and even called in advance when he was just a few minutes away. His pricing was several hundred dollars below the quotes. The installation crew, John and Brian, were wonderful. They were on time and very polite and professional. They double checked on how we wanted the gates installed and made some suggestion which were actually better than our plan. The overall experience was more than I could hope for and we use them again in a heart beat.
Description of Work: Removed old fencing and carted away. Installed new vinyl fencing and 3 gates.
