TRUE-LINE CORING & CUTTING OF TAMPA INC

The workman came out with a large concrete saw. He was careful to protect the new hardwood floor that he had to roll over to get to the kitchen. The plumbers had marked the area needed to be cut. He used a large wet vac and water to keep the dust to a minimum. He warned me that he was cutting through the concrete blind and could cut a water line if it was too close to the concrete. Well, he was right. My water lines were lying right up against the concrete slab (they should have been buried 18" under the slab). The main water line had to be turned off. He cleaned up all the water, removed the cut concrete and completed the job. He had to pour out about 20-30 gallons of concrete dust mixed with water because of the line cut. I told him to pour it on the driveway as I did not want all that lime poured on the grass. I wish he argued with me. The slurry made a mess of the driveway, splashed up on cars driving in, and looked awful. I had the plumbers come out to repair the cut pipes, but they told me they needed the concrete cut further to access the lines. I spoke with Dave, at True-Line who sent out another cutter to cut back the concrete for the plumbers at no extra charge.
