Description of Work: i hired them to stop a leak in the bathtub of one of my rental properites. I called because they were close to the location of the property. He insisted that everything would need to be pulled out, i insisted that he just stop the leak. He insisted on more work and i was taken aback by his desire to take advantage of the situation and me. I called them and when they called me back i was screamed at on the phone. very immoral, and quick to take advantage of.

Third Generation responded to this customer's request for service on 3/23/17. Customer was told that we charge a $75.00 diagnosis fee which is an industry standard fee. This fee does not include any repair cost, just diagnosis. The technician who responded did a complete diagnosis check of a tub water leak. He found several problems that needed repairing to stop leaks on tub pipes and toilet. Our service technician gave the customer an estimate to make all the repairs, who was not agreeable to the pricing and expressed this over the phone to office staff and mangers. Any customer is entitled to a get as many estimates he wants of a diagnosis with any other company. We are glad he got someone else to do the repair.

Description of Work: I had a problem with my toilet. He came and freed the toilet, but he scratched it from the top to the bottom. Then he denied it. I called him back and told him he didn't do the second one. He came back to do the second one and left the waste just sitting on the floor.

Third Generation Plumbing And Mechanical Co. was contracted by American Home Shield to service a toilet stoppage. We went to the customer's home 3 times (2/9/17, 2/10/17, and 2/21/17). Each time the technician found baby wipes had been flushed down the toilet, causing it to back up. Because of this, the home warranty denied the customer's claim. The technician noted upon arrival each time of service, the toilet and tub were very old and already had chipped/marred places. Also, the technician cleaned the area each time of service. The technician states that he in no way marred her toilet or tub when doing service as this customer is claiming. When the technician told the customer she probably needed to replace the old toilet and tub, but it would not be covered by her warranty, she became very agitated, screaming at him, and threatened to call the news and report him. Our technician reported this incident to the service manager as soon as he left. We stand by our technician, and we are not responsible for any damages as they were pre-existing upon arrival on the first service call. This customer's claim is unwarranted.

After a year, they never fixed the problem at all, but made alot money, between the warranty company and myself.
Description of Work: This company was provided by a warranty company. Over the course of one year they came out 4 times. The problem was a leak in the ac system. 5/09 1st visit replenished system, but did not identify leak. 9/09 emergency call to check leak, and they identified the leak in the coil. Third visit was to replace the coil, which they identified. 4/10 After a nice winter, we realized the refrigerant was gone, and called again for them to fix. They checked for leaks and made repairs. 6/10 coolant gone again!... so we called someone else.

Fast and complete.
Description of Work: I was in the process of replacing my bathroom sink fixture when I found I had a hot water shut off valve leak below the sink. When I went in the garage to turn off the main hot water supply from the water heater, I found that it was frozen open. Since, I subscribe to the AHS Repair service, I called them and they said that Third Generation Plumbing would call back. Within 2 hours from my initial call, all three leaks were fixed. The technician (G. Stewart) from Third Generation Plumbing was knowledgeable and professional. He got the job done in less than an hour. Now I have no Hot Water leaks.

The plumber from 3rd Generation was on time, cordial and very professional. He was originally dispatch to us to repair a broken kitchen garbage disposal from our Home Owner Insurance claim. He effectively diagnosed that problem and replaced the faulty unit. We were so pleased with his service that we asked him to give his opinion on a leak from the top of our kitchen sink faucet. He inspected the leak and suggested that the faucet itself probably needed to be replaced. We purchased a new faucet and checked Angie's list to determine whether 3rd Generation had a positive rating. We found that there were no negative ratings so we engaged this company with the caveat that the plumber who was originallyt sent to us would be assigned to do the installation. We were again pleased with his work. We discovered after he left that there was still a slow leak under the sink. He was dispatched again to identify whether he missed anything with his original diagnosis of the leak. As it turned out there was a secondary leak problem, this time with our water filter faucet. The plumber verified that this problem was not related to the installation he did on the main faucet. This determination was verifed by the technician from the water filter company who we called in to review the problem. He identified a faulty water filter faucet and replaced it to correct the problem. Bottom line, no more leaks!

I found a puddle of water behind my new refrigerator. I called 3 different plumbing companies. Silvia called me back in 10 minutes and said she would have someone out to my house within the hour. (One plumbing company never called me back, the other called back after half an hour.) When Chris arrived on Sunday, he attempted to turn the water off at the house, and that valve broke too, only to find the turn-off valve in the water meter at the street broken. There was no way to turn the water off, so he did the best he could for until we could get the city out to fix the meter. Chris was there for about 3 hours. On Monday morning, both valves were still dripping. I called the emergency number for the city of Tampa and they came right out and fixed the meter. Mike came from 3rd Generation and turned off all the water and fixed the two water valves that were broken. Mike was there for about 2 hours finishing everything up. Chris and Mike from Third Generation were the nicest and most professional people, even though I had an emergency situation. Silvia, the phone receptionist, was very polite and reassuring when I spoke with her. I highly recommend this company and will use them again! I was given an estimate over the phone before Chris arrived and costs were discussed again after we found the 2nd valve was broken. I got my money's worth for a job well done.
Description of Work: The water valve in the wall that provides water to my refrigerator/freezer broke and water was running down through the wall and onto the floor. Next we found out the valve to turn the water off to the house was broken as well as the water meter turn-off valve at the street.

They came out. First trip out, they identified that I didn't have a water leak, I had a drain leak. Couldn't fix it that day because they wanted me to run dye through the toilet. Came out again, took the toilet off the seal and found that there was a broken flange and that it was leaking under the tile. Fixed the flange and put it all back together. Cleaned everything up. I was very impressed. Very nice and competent people.

Third Generation Plumbing was contracted by our home warranty co to fix the running toilet and replace shut off valve in the bathroom. This was an emergency call and we were very grateful that they were able to send somebody out almost immediately. The repairman was punctual, thorough and cleaned up after himself. This is the second time we have requested the same company. First time was two years ago, after a different plumber, also sent by the Old Republic, messed up another toilet in our home. Highly recommended, would use them again.(The amount we paid was for home warranty service call)

I USED THIS COMPANY AS PART OF MY HOME WARRANTY PROGRAM. CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PRICE WERE AVERAGE. I TRIED ANOTHER COMPANY AFTERWARDS, WHOM I LIKE BETTER.
Description of Work: OUR SEWER WAS BACKING UP WHEN WE RAN THE WASHING MACHINE. TECHNICIAN SNAKED THE LINE ACROSS THE FRONT YARD AND BROKE THROUGH SOME ROOTS. HE DIDN'T COMPLETELY BREAK THE CLOG THOUGH. I HAD TO CALL ANOTHER PLUMBING COMPANY SHORTLY THEREAFTER FOR THE SAME PROBLEM.
