Carlos came out and was very professional. He checked the drain line, which he found clogged, so he snaked the line, and then we asked him to cut a small hole in the downstairs ceiling to look for leaks (he found none). He then filled up the master bath shower and let the water out all at once but couldn't replicate the leak. He suggested we have the shower floor re-grouted and also said the drips could've been condensation from an A/C line on a very hot day. We'll fix the shower floor and keep an eye on any dripping. Another plumbing company told us we had to replace the entire 5' shower floor (rubber liner, concrete, and tile) and wanted to charge us $2250 to do so. Carlos said that wasn't necessary. Everyone from the Pink Plumber has always been honest with their assessment of the work required.
Description of Work: Tenant stated water was dripping from downstairs A/C vent just under the master shower.

The tech, Richard Q. was awesome! He was very knowledgeable and professional. Communication about what needed to be done and how he was going to do it was very thorough. He took great pride in his work and it showed. Customer satisfaction was at the top of his list along with a job done correctly. I would highly recommend Pink Plumber to anyone and ask for Richard Q. You will not be disappointed.

The technician, Felix, was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. He got right to work and explained everything he was doing as he went along in an understandable way. He arrived promptly at the scheduled time both days and he took the time to do a thorough job to locate and correct my problems. The service has so far seemed to resolve my problem. I will definitely call Felix and the pink plumber if i have any future plumbing needs.

At 4:20p, Pink Plumber “service technician”, Carlos arrived with a helper named, Ricky, and at her request, I was there to review what the plumber had to say and the pricing. Carlos dug into the hole and a few minutes reported that the yard needed to be dug up and trenched because it was “all Pex and copper piping”. He said he didn’t have the proper tools to trench and he’d have to come back. Really, I said, dig up the yard, bring in a trenching tool? (And Lord knows what he would want to charge for that.) I saw what the plumber did earlier in the day and the length of the Pex pipe used for the patch was no longer than 9-10 inches. At my request, I asked Carlos to dig a little bit wider hole, and low and behold, there it was. A total patch of PVC pipe maybe 18” long. Oops, missed that. So, I’m not feeling the Confidence Vibe on Mr. Carlos right now as he goes to his iPad and is working out the numbers. So, we wait for his price, and I’m thinking this is about an hour’s worth of work even for a rookie and he’s got a helper as well. He then comes back with a quote of $410! I was outraged and expressed my disbelief in such a high price as I was expecting about $200. Even if the fence company was going to pay for this in the end, I felt he was trying to take advantage of my retired widow neighbor. I asked him to call his supervisor. So, Mr. Carlos then cops the big attitude, who am I, you’re not the customer, what are you doing here? I explained that I am her trusted neighbor and a HOA Board member. I also explained that my CCTV cameras were pointed at her house. We have our own Neighborhood Watch program here. Carlos then gets on his phone talking loudly with whoever about what a good worker he is, and that I was in his face, blah, blah, blah. This fellow took Cuban pride to a whole new level. What I did not hear him tell the boss was how he dropped the ball on his original assessment. At the end, the boss came back at $360 which my neighbor agreed to. I still thought it was an outrageous price for about an hour’s work. At 5:02p, 42 minutes after their arrival, Carlos and Ricky go to work. They finished and were on their way at 6:12p, only 70 minutes after they started this job. They could have saved 32 minutes of the wait time, by simply having diagnosed the issue correctly and offering a fair price for their services, instead of reaching for the high price and all the drama that ensued. Is a “service technician” from the Pink Plumber really a plumber? I got a price for some work at my house earlier this year and the Pink was almost 3 times the price of the first quote I received from another plumber. I will be making a motion at our next HOA meeting that we start our own internal “Angie’s List” and we will be collecting from our residents, information on their experiences with Pink and others. I’m sure that Carlos would have gladly come back with trenching tools to dig up her yard had I not stepped in, and had no problem charging her thousands of dollars either. VERY disappointed with The Pink, “Plumbers Fighting Breast Cancer.” NEVER again.
Description of Work: My neighbor is an elderly retired widow of Pilippino descent who lives across the street from us. On Sat July 15th, she was having a new fence installed and the fence installers cut into a supply line for her sprinkler system at the front corner of her house. Another neighbor dispatched a plumber she knew who fixed the leak and left. A few hours later, the fence installers then again cut into the patched area of the sprinkler line. They of course left without pointing out the new leak that they caused. I am a Trustee Member of our HOA Board here in our subdivision and a Trustee on our local Special Tax District Board. I reviewed the leak and suggested she call a 24-hour type of plumber to come and repair this issue, as the fence company was probably going to end up paying for this and the original plumber was not available. She called the Pink Plumber.

Richard found problem after climbing under house (100 degree day). He was polished and professional and sensitive with us as it was such a hard day for family. Their customer service is great. Will definitely recommend!
Description of Work: Former plumbing company we had recently used to build new sewer line failed to tie guest bathroom in. We had people over after a family funeral the day we found out. Richard came out immediately, was amazing and worked to figure out what went wrong. He was honest and kind on such a hard day.

Well in the end they said we needed a new stove.
Description of Work: Gas leak that behind the stove and while they were here I noticed that I had a pvc pipe outside my house with a small leak. They made it sound like they were going to take care of the leak at no charge. This seemed nice considering they wouldn't even walk through my door with a gas leak for less than $1700.00! No joke! Well the water leak was a ten minute job but then came the bill... $3,500!!! The gas leak was on the back of the stove. Two things take gas in the house and it wasn't too hard to figure out. But I think they got it down to a science on how to Jack up the bill. They, without even trying to find the leak told us the had to cap everything pressure the line and that will cost another $500. Then when we got the bill that ten minute water leak costed us $650! With some God knows what else it came to $3,500.

The plumber came right away and was very efficient. However, I believe that $775.00 for 2 hours of work is simply too much. I also didn't appreciate the high pressure he placed on making a sale. I do feel like I was taken advantage of because I needed assistance immediately.
Description of Work: The plumber put a new handle on the toilet and ran a camera down the toilet on order to better clean the pipe line. He also put in a new wax seal in order to stop the water that was coming out of the toilet and ruining my floor.

We had no hot water. I made the mistake of Googling tanklless water heaters rather than consulting Angie's List. The Pink Plumber site claimed they would install a tankless water heater from $795. I called to make an appointment to have them provide an estimate for our particular installation. They wanted to charge a $45 fee to give me an estimate. When I said I wouldn't pay the fee they agreed to waive it. This should have been a red flag. When the plumber arrived he told me that a new tankless heater would cost $3500 but not to worry he could fix my present one. So, I told him to have a look and give me an estimate of what repair would cost. After taking a look he told me that he would need to run a full diagnostic for $165 but it would be credited to the repair. Facing another day of cold showers, I told him to proceed. After a cursory inspection, he told me that the logic board was bad, that it would cost $450 to fix, it would take 5 days for the board to be shipped in and that I would have to give my credit card number to the plumbing supply company before they would ship it. I told him that I would try to find a board locally and he could return and install it. He said if I chose that path he would not credit back my $165 inspection fee. Now I was seeing red flags all over the place, so, I asked him leave. He would not do so until I paid him the $165 inspection fee. The next day I found a local plumber through Angie's list and he replaced the unit for $1250 (one third of what the Pink Plumber wanted to charge me).
Description of Work: Took my money and provided nothing in return.
