Ron with Overhead Door Co. of Tampa Bay arrived on time and went right to work installing a new Craftsman door opener I purchased from Sears a couple of days before. Sears could not install it for a week, so I contacted other door companies to see if we could have it installed sooner. One company I contacted through Angie's list wanted $300 to install, which was their way of saying "no we don't want to fool with it". Then I contacted Overhead Door Co. of Tampa Bay and spoke to a very nice lady named Valerie and she told me they would only charge $100 to install it. Plus if we donated a few non-perishable items to Metropolitan Ministries, they would knock off another $10. Ron did an excellent job and I would not hesitate to call them in the future for any of our garage door needs.

GREAT! Their price was much better than anyone else. The technician was on time, very professional, and did a wonderful job. I love the new garage door and would highly recommend this company to anyone who's looking for garage door or garage door opener repairs or replacement. Overhead Door is a very good company to deal with.

We couldn't have been more pleased from our call to the finished work. Although their day was filled with appointments, they fit us in between appointments and arrived within 3 hours of our call. One of the many things that we appreciated was that they sent an email prior to the technician's arrival showing a picture of him. The email also gave a bio about how long he had been with the company which was approx. 17 years plus 26 years in the industry. It also mentioned that he passed an annual background check by a 3rd party! Wow! Did that make us feel comfortable or what!!! Without hesitation, we will use them again and happily recommend them to our neighbors and friends! They replaced both springs and corrected the misaligned pin.

We were very happy with The Overhead Door Company of Tampa Bay. The tech, Matt, was here in a timely manner and he was personable and friendly. In less than an hour, he was done with the repair and we were good to go. The cost was just as they quoted over the phone when I placed my original call, explaining that it I could see that the main spring was broken. We did opt to replace two springs, even though only one was broken, but there was absolutely no pressure to do so. I just felt like it was a prudent thing to do. Unlike the experience my neighbor just had with a different, very "high profile" garage door repair company, our tech was here to fix the problem, not to sell us replacement parts for nearly the whole door. I will definitely recommend The Overhead Door Company of Tampa Bay to our neighbors.

I contacted The Overhead Door Company of Tampa Bay, along with a few other providers, to get a quote on replacing an existing garage door opener with one that I would provide. (Many of the Big Deals have the company providing an opener, but I wanted a Smart Home model from Chamberlain). Overhead Door was quick to reply to my message, and their price was the best. Setting up the appointment was fast, easy, and done in one phone call. The day before the install, I received a reminder email and phone call confirming my appointment. Installer arrived on-time and was very professional. Once the install was complete, he showed me how to work the opener, program and change other codes, and how to connect the opener to my WiFi system, which wasn't installed yet. He cleaned up the garage and took everything with him, after asking if it was OK to do so. All-in-all, a great experience!

The tech was punctual and quickly diagnosed the problem. The contacts were corroded. He filed them down and that repaired the problem. I got an estimate for $682 from another company that came out before this one. I am glad there are still companies out there with integrity!!!!!!!!

Came out when scheduled did a great job, older one was removed. Placement was not ideal so they reengineered the new one. The product is great, motion detector on the light. Have used them in the past for my own home always a professional job.

We were very pleased with the quality of his work. He performed the job in the normal amount of time we were quoted. We have the lifetime warranty on the belt and the motor. Also the price we paid was a great price for the product and service.

Ron came out a week prior to fix an issue. With the 20-year-old unit dying a week later, he waived the service fee to install the new unit. He has been to my property a couple times in the past 18 months -- always professional and courteous.

They installed the original door 11 years ago and it has held up and worked great. My spring broke over the weekend, stranding one of my cars in the garage...they were out within hours, plus they emailed me a picture of the tech! The tech was very knowledgeable and did a great job! I would highly recommend this company!!!

My experience with this company went extremely well from beginning to end. I called them because I favor the idea that the repairmen are employees rather than subcontractors. First, they were able to accommodate my schedule, and second, the technician arrived on time.. During my initial call to the company, I had a conversation with Terry, who gave me cost options to consider once the tech came to inspect my door. Knowing ahead of time, I was able to make the best decisions financially. Up in the air was the electric door opener which I thought needed to be replaced, having been broken and unused for many years. Since it's replacement was not in the budget, I mentioned that I would have to visit that issue on another day. Matt, the technician, checked it out for me and determined that it was a simple repair which I agreed to and now my door is working beautifully. I had used this company many years ago, and will continue. Just like today, my past experience was very positive, and they saved me a lot of money doing repairs vs replacement.

I called Overhead Door Company of Tampa Bay on Monday to fix my garage door. The lady said she could set me up with someone to come look at it the next afternoon (Tuesday). She also said she would send an email with the technician's photograph. By this morning, I still did not have an email with the photograph so I called back. She said it was later in the day so she was getting to them this morning. I finally received an email mid-morning. I made sure I was home beginning at 12pm. They were supposed to call before they came. As of 4pm, I still had not received a call. I called the company to ask if they had an estimated arrival time. The woman on the phone was short with me and said she could check to see how many were ahead of me. All she could tell me was the technician was currently in Spring Hill and would head my way after that job was completed. I let her know I needed to leave by 6pm and did not think that would be an issue since they had told me yesterday it would be the afternoon.She said they work into the evening and was very short with me and said they only can say AM or PM. They should not have said afternoon if they meant evening. That is terrible customer service! I was offered no apology. I called another company and they are sending someone NOW. Not tomorrow "afternoon." Thankfully, the new company coming has much better and more recent reviews. Apparently a blessing in disguise!

I would NOT recommend doing business with Overhead Door of Tampa. Because we had been doing business with them for the past 7 years, I called them at 7:30 am Friday to get a service technician scheduled to come out. I called again at 2:15 pm and left another message. Finally, at 4:00 pm, they found the time to return my call but only to tell me that they could not help me because I was "so far away" and that I should call Overhead Door of Clearwater. Of course, since it was so late in the day on a Friday, they couldn't even set an appointment until Monday morning. Extremely poor customer service!

now, 2 years later, when I open the either of the garage doors, makes a loud creaking noise like the chain is about to break. half the time it stops 2/3 rds up and cuts off. I think the rails are mis aligned probably as a result of them working so late and wanting to go home.. I still have bolts popping out of the track or door occasionally due possibly to the stress caused by a mis alignment. A bad experience I tried to forget until I got this notification to provide a review.

Twice they have done service for me and the service has been extraordinary. They were on time, quick and did their job correctly and clean. The two different gentlemen who came out on two different occasions were very polite. I have no complaints whatsoever; all I have is praise for them. I think their price is reasonable.
