It was a great experience.

They were hard to contact at times, but they did excellent work.

My garage door was the original door from when the house was built in 1973. The previous owner had installed a Genie garage door opener to aid the selling of the property. Because the door was so old, and a serious structure risk during storms and hurricanes, I knew that I would need to replace it soon. I found Overhead Doors on the Angie's List, and I knew the company location because it is just down the street from where I live. I am very happy that this was done. I am pleased with the work. The installer showed up on time, worked quickly and ensured that the garage was fully operational, checking my remotes to make sure they worked. Thankfully, I was able to save some money on the garage door motor, because it was not old as dirt, and was still working and under the manufacturer warranty period. I opted to have the styrofoam insulation installed at the additional $100, this was money well spent! It helps to muffle noises in the neighborhood and makes garage a lot quieter.

Overhead Doors did a good job. I was pleased that they were still in business and they were on Angie's List, because we have used them in the past. They were Punctual and have a reasonable price.

Came within appointment window (4-hour window), asked if we wanted to replace both springs since one side was broken, which I agreed with. Service person was friendly, professional, neat, got the job done within the estimated hour. He was very pleasant, said he had to go with a sturdier size spring since he didn't have an exact match to the old springs. Seems to be working great.

We were pleased with the work. Good experience & very professional. Did what they were paid to do.

The company was very nice, but you would think that with as much business as they do, they would be able to let me see their work.

The company arrived on the scheduled day, went to work, and were finished in a couple of hours.

Everything when exactly as agreed upon.

I did not realize that one spring was broken so of course was not expecting that cost. Other than the surprise cost, the job went perfectly, the work was done very well, and I am happy with the result.

Excellent. Scheduling was professional. Representative called in advance of arrival, as requested. Representative who performed the work arrived on-time, was courteous and professional throughout. I'm very pleased.

The initial contact was skillfully handled getting scope of work. This occurred the day before the Labor Day holiday. At the customer's request, they were on the job early Tuesday morning. They performed the service in a professional manner and I will hire and recommend them to anyone with requirement for garage doors installation and/or service, gate installation and repair and reinforcing of same.

We called on Thurs. Sept 7th, just after they had closed for the day. We left a message on the answering machine and indicated this was not an emergency in terms of sending out someone that night, but to please call us in the morning, to schedule an appointment for Friday. No one had returned our call by noon and after several calls to the company and not being able to reach the person, who does the scheduling, I asked for a manager. I talked to Andy, who informed me that they could not get someone out until Tuesday, due to the holiday weekend. We were lucky we could open the door manually. He apologized that our call had not been returned. The technician arrived first thing Tuesday morning and was actually the same man who did the work last year. The work was performed quickly and efficiently. Surprisingly I received a telephone call on Wednesday the 13th from someone at Overhead, saying he was returning my call. I had not called since Friday the 7th, to try and get on the schedule.

I called them three times over three weeks and I could not get any information and nobody returned my voicemails.

Work was performed in less than half a day by one installer. Work was very nice. Actually delivered finished product for less than the original estimate, and as an added bonus, set up the automatic garage door opener control on my wife's car which we hadn't been able to make work. (Apparently there is a secret ''final'' step that Chrysler doesn't include in the instruction manual.)

The installer was not too clear on the operating instructions, but the supervisor responded at once to the call for help.

THE SERVICE WAS NOT EXCEPTIONAL, BUT THE JOB EVENTUALLY GOT DONE. RATHER THAN REMOVING THE LONG METAL TRACK TO PLACE THE WHEEL ON THE END, THEY JUST REMOVED THE FRONT END AND BROUGHT IT TO THE GROUND, PLACING EXCESSIVE PRESSURE ON THE CEILING-MOUNTED MOTOR AND SUPPORT BRACKET. I WAS ANXIOUSLY WAITING FOR THE CEILING TO COME DOWN AND WAS RELIEVED WHEN THE JOB WAS FINISHED.

HE CAME OUT AND ADVISED ME I DID NOT NEED A NEW DOOR. HE PROCEED TO ADJUST THE DOOR TO MAKE THE ACTION BETTER AND DID NOT CHARGE ME TO DO SO. HE IS VERY HONEST. I WILL RECOMMEND HIM FOR ANY DOOR PROBLEMS.

THE TECHNICIAN WAS HELPFUL & EVEN REATTACHED A RUBBER GASKET THAT HAD COME OFF THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR. IT COULD NOT BE DONE IN THE MANNER IT WAS ORIGINALLY ATTACHED BECAUSE IT HAD BEEN BENT OUT OF SHAPE IN THE ACCIDENT. THE TECHNICIAN DRILLED ADDITIONAL HOLES IN THE GASKET & THE BOTTOM SECTION OF THE DOOR, SCREWED IT BACK ON, & DID NOT CHARGE EXTRA FOR THIS. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT THE COMPANY DID CHARGE EXTRA TO SCHEDULE THE SERVICE CALL BETWEEN 1 PM & 3 PM, WHICH WAS NECESSARY BECAUSE I WORK EVENINGS & SLEEP MORNINGS.

RON CAME ON TIME, WAS POLITE AND EFFICIENT, SERVICING THE 2 GARAGE DOORS IN UNDER AN HOUR AND CLEANED UP THE AREA. BOTH DOORS WORK SMOOTHLY!

WE MADE SEVERAL PHONE CALLS TO DETERMINE WHETHER WE COULD REPLACE A PART OURSELVES, THEN SEVERAL FOLLOW-UP CALLS WHILE DOING THE INSTALLATION TO ASK ADVICE. ANDY WAS AMAZINGLY PATIENT AND HELPFUL. WE REALLY SHOULD HAVE JUST HIRED SOMEONE TO DO THE WORK AND WILL DEFINITELY HIRE THIS COMPANY NEXT TIME. BUT IT WAS VERY GRACIOUS OF THEM TO OFFER SO MUCH SUPPORT FOR A $36 PART SALE.

I SPOKE WITH THE OWNER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. IN MY OPINION GAIL WAS LESS THAN SYMPATHETIC TO THE PROBLEM. SHE STATED DOESN T YOUR FREEZER HAVE AN ALARM? AND YOU DIDN T NOTICE IT FOR 4 DAYS? I FELT SHE WAS TRYING TO PUT ME ON THE DEFENSIVE DUE TO THE WAY SHE STATED THESE. WELL THE ALARM WON T WORK IF IT IS NOT PLUGGED IN, AND AS I STATED, I D GONE OUT OF TOWN ON VACATION THAT NIGHT. THE GUYS WHO DELIVERED BACK MY FREEZER TO ME SAID GAIL THE OWNER AGREED TO GIVE ME A GIFT CERT AND THEY WANTED TO KNOW WHERE I SHOPPED. I TOLD THEM SAM S CLUB OR ANY GROCERY STORE WAS OKAY. THE GARAGE DOOR JOB ITSELF WAS GOOD. THE AFTERMATH WAS HORRIBLE. NO FOLLOW THROUGH. I M NOT BEGGING FOR FOOD REPLACEMENT. THEY HAVE HAD AMPLE OPPORTUNITY TO FOLLOW UP ON THIS. HAVING BEEN IN THE BUSINESS WORLD FOR 40 YEARS I HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING ATTITUDE ABOUT SLIP UPS. I MUST TAKE EXCEPTION TO THIS ONE.

COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL; ARRIVED WITHIN PROMISED (4-HOUR) WINDOW. REPRESENTATIVE WAS PLEASANT AND FORTHCOMING ABOUT POSSIBILITY OF FUTURE REPAIRS. WILL DEFINITELY USE AGAIN.

IF THERE IS A QUESTION ABOUT WHETHER OR NOT A NEW REPLACEMENT DOOR WILL FIT, ASK TO SPEAK TO THE INSTALLER. THE SALESMAN ALMOST LOST THE SALE BECAUSE HE SAID IT COULDN'T BE DONE.
