TB WATER

Water Filtration and Softening, Water Coolers, Wells and Pumps

About us

TB Water is the leader in water purification for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Living in Florida we have all heard the term "hard water". Private well owners have the responsibility to prove their own means of treating even worse water problems. We do FREE WATER TESTING. We test for common water problems like hardness ( calcium and magnesium ) iron, PH, chlorine and ammonia (chloramine) Hydrogen Sulfide gas, manganese, tannin, iron bacteria and other unique problems. We will beat any estimate on the same equipment or equivalent by 10%. We DO NOT employ ANY commissioned sales reps who use high pressure tactics and scary stories to force you into making a impulse buy. We welcome our customers to shop around other competitors but advise them to compare apples to apples as GOOD THINGS ARE NOT CHEAP AND CHEAP THINGS ARE USUALLY NO GOOD. We service what we sell. We install all of our equipment and back it with a PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY in addition to the factory warranty provided by the manufacturer. We service all makes and models and do everything from annual filter changes, valve rebuilds, salt deliveries and quarterly maintenance. We test your water before we recommend any repairs in front of you to show you that you are not being swindled. DO NOT LET ANOTHER COMPANY TELL YOU THAT YOUR SYSTEM CANNOT BE REPAIRED. THEY ARE ONLY LOOKING TO HUSTLING YOU INTO BUYING ANOTHER SYSTEM. WE ONLY RECOMMEND REPLACEMENT IF THE EQUIPMENT IS OUTDATED AND THE COST OF REPAIR IS TOO HIGH.

Do not use this company. Dave, the owner talks a good game. He assured me he knew the system inside out. In October he did a repair that failed within three months.....Cost $500. He came back in February and charged me another $500 to re-bed my filter tank. The problem still persisted. When I contacted him to come back out, he complained that he did not install my original system. He evidenced no commitment to customer satisfaction and was totally insensitive to the frustration over his poor performance and service. He claims to "know it all" and claims great "passion" for his work. He is only interested in overcharging and overselling to replace otherwise functional products. DON'T USE HIM!!!! I had a second company come out and they repaired the problem in less than 30 minutes by replacing a valve.

Response from TB WATER
Good thing we get to respond to this as this is his version of what really happened. One quick internet search and you will find that my company carries a 5 Star rating and we have hundreds of happy customers that will verify our reputation. Steve [Member Name Removed] is the rudest customer I have EVER dealt with. When you call a business and speak to someone with the tone and attitude as he did , we refuse to do business with him. I was under a sink installing a drinking water system on Monday and I could have easily sent his call to Voicemail but I answer every customers call or text personally. He starts barking at me with threats and I said who do you think you are talking to like that? I offered to rearrange my day on Tuesday as we were booked up with installs and service calls and he started barking out threats and orders. DOES HE TALK TO EVERYONE LIKE THAT? I reminded him that he in fact DID Not purchase that equipment from TB Water but whatever company he did buy it from could not keep it functional and did not provide him service. After I personally repaired his non functional Sulfur filter, it worked great, I have all the texts and correspondence to prove it. Mr. [Member Name Removed] must think it’s our problem that his water smells like rotten eggs and there is NO FILTER in existence that will work forever without proper maintenance. Mr. [Member Name Removed] likes to belittle people and loves to bicker over price and feels like we should just all work for FREE! His exact words were “If I were you I would take a look in the mirror” (whatever that means) and I better do this and I better do that. Then he threatened me with posting negative reviews to try to damage my reputation and if it persists We will take legal action. He thinks he’s special because he’s the head of the HOA in the Neighborhood and he thinks that gives him some kinda influence and authority and he could BASH my reputation. He said “I’m writing my monthly newsletter this week and I will tell everyone not to call your company. I had no problem returning FOR FREE to go further into figuring out the problem, sometimes it’s not the most apparent problem, and requires even more time diagnosing. If that makes him feel better than so be it! We will continue to provide our customers with the best service, WE REFUSE TO DO BUSINESS WITH HIM! Mr. [Member Name Removed] lives in a prestigious gated community with very poor well water. In fact he said to me that one of his neighbors wanted to sell his home and move the water is so bad. Mr. [Member Name Removed] is not a friendly person to deal with whatsoever. His pompous attitude and cocky demeanor would make any service technician run in the opposite direction. Fact is, yes he did pay $500 for parts and labor to rebuild the piston and seals and other parts (that I did not have on my truck but did drive several miles to get which he didn’t even thank me for) that rendered his system inoperable. After a few months something happened to his filter again, which is out of our control and he wants to blame that on us. He did something that proves how cheap he really is! He calls me to say that he is having problems again and the smell came back. He said “I just waited till my salt got low to call you” Basically he avoids paying a $90 service call and has me drive out to Odessa to place 2 bags of salt in his softener tank for $30, which he complains is “too much”, I spend an hour there answering all his questions and realize he has done all this to get out of paying a service call which really rubs me the wrong way.........truck, insurance, time, gas, all these things that go into running a business. I asked when the last time he had the carbon replaced he said about 2 yrs ago and he was very grumpy about putting any more money into his non functional Sulfur filter. He argued again with me that his carbon should last 5 yrs, and I said, do you service these systems professionally? I said we could replace the catalytic carbon and see if that helps his situation and he wanted a GUARANTEE that it would fix the problem. He wants it done immediately and we do whatever it takes to make our customers happy! I personally spent 3 hrs on a Saturday, missed seeing my son play a hockey game, to work baking in direct sunlight at his well to remove and replace the carbon after he agreed we would try that. The materials I used cost $350 and $150 for labor, is more than fair. This guy could care less and didn’t appreciate anything! Lastly, I told Steve that if it did not fix the problem that I would come back FOR FREE and continue diagnose the problem again until it was fixed and NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES! Then he calls me barking at me like that! I will not take that kinda abuse from someone.......I said many times to him that all I tried to do was help his situation, If my home stunk as bad as his I’d be a lil agitated too but I’d never blast someone like he did, just because you are wealthy, that doesn’t give you the right to disrespect someone when your USED aging system is malfunctioning! He said he had someone else coming out to “take a look” and I’m reading above in his malicious attempt to bash my company that he had the whole valve or “head” replaced. I have them on the truck and could’ve sold him a new one as well but he likes to bicker over price and wears a 20k Rolex and drives several expensive Porsche’s and lives in a 5000 sq ft home. I told him to upgrade to peroxide injection and that would solve his problem but again Mr. [Member Name Removed] wants better water but thinks we work for Free, and he runs into his house a immediately returns shoving a competitors estimate for similar equipment in my face and I told him to compare apples to apples. Who wants to deal with a customer like that? Who knows who he has had out to his home to mess with his system.

Dave The Water Man is the Best!! Excellent products for which he is passionate about them. Gives a clear explanation of products, services, recommendations and demonstrates the water quality or, as I our case, lack of quality. He clearly explains the operation after install and he follows up for maintenance. Top Notch service and NO hidden costs, such as drilling hole in granite for water facet. So glad we got the reverse osmosis, now when my ice cubes melt , I drink them....drinking more water as the taste is Fantastic, NO MORE bottled water! My towels and laundry are SOFT , no mineral spots on dishes or glass shower doors... Free salt for one year Why would you go anywhere else? Thank you Dave!!

David came out promptly, assessed our problem, & gave a very professional yet personable sales presentation. Although not the cheapest price, both my wife & I knew pretty much immediately that we were going to have them do the work. He installed a new softener/conditioning system that afternoon. Thus far we are very pleased with the performance of the system. They also back up their products with an ongoing, in-writing service commitment. That alone makes this a very good deal in our opinion. David is obviously very committed to & proud of his projects - and we look forward to his continued support.
Description of Work: Our water pressure had lowered significantly. We contacted the plumbing company we use. They determined it was due to a water softener issue. They installed the softener 9 years ago, but said they didn't service softerners & advised us to contact water softener company. They referred us to TB Water.

To start with. Let me say this, Dave, the owner/operator is probably the best person that I have ever had do work for me. I called him about a water Softener on Thursday, he offered to come the next day at 1pm which i accepted. He promptly showed up at1pm with a very professional business van and immediately introduced himself, handing me a couple of business cards. He was professionally dressed with a TB Water Shirt. He quickly identified my existing non working softener as one that should have been installed as an outside unit. He took water samples and to no surprise my water was very high in chlorine and other substances. Dave then described the different options he would suggest, describing the differences between his products and what Lowes, Home Depot and other retail outlets. After consideration i chose an upscale unit, yes more expensive than the Lowes/Home Depot options, but in quality in product, installation, warranty, i was completely satisfied with my Pro SERIES softener. He had a unit on the truck and immediately began to remove the old unit and replace it with an impressive unit. Dave was meticulous in work, down to polishing the tank, precisely applying the TBWater sticker and even securing the power chord so that it was taunt! Every business man should be so conscientious. I recommend TB Water Technologies without reservation.
Description of Work: My water softener has not been working for several months and it was a very worn out unit. I knew it was beyond repair but I wanted to see what was available beyond having Home Depot or Lowe's come an install a cheap unit.

Response from TB WATER
I think this will be the last $40 inspection we will perform. When a customer calls and says they think it probably time to upgrade their system with a new one but would like someone to come out to "take a look" at the old one, we say it's just $40 to get us out there. We show up to find a 20yr basic mechanical old leaking softener from the 80's that the customer knows full well it needs to be replaced. Sometimes people just don't wanna spend any money at all but just waste someone's time. I gave this gentleman 2 options. Completely tear apart and rebuild the system with all new parts and resin Cost $400 total including labor A very fair price Or upgrade to a newer digital metered system for $1299 which I had ready to go on the truck and could've done on the spot. But lately customers want to "shop around" not only on new equipment but now on service calls as well. I'm srry but we can it run a profitable business if we drove out to customers homes and gave free estimates to service a system only to have customers allow 3 other companies show up to plot us all against each other to get the lowest of low prices. Is it smart to invest $400 into a 20yr old shot leaking water softener? This gentleman then says "but what if I just pay you to rebuild the head only" In his mind this would "fix" the shot system I say $150 He then has me disassemble the control valve, only to then decide he has to "save up" the money. The question is "why do people that don't have the money call a service company and set an appointment for repair if the can't afford it? These $40 inspections I think confuse people as to what exactly is going to happen. We refuse to disassemble ANY softener until we first go over the cost to repair and get an ok to perform work. Why take something apart if you have no intention to fix and just say hey, put it all back together now! This guy had a leaking softener that badly needed to be put in bypass. The main piston was leaking and it's absurd to reinstall shot parts. The system was left in bypass and the customer was instructed to either repair or replace the system. We only seem to get a negative review from someone who spends $40 to have us drive out only to have our time wasted. We will no longer be offering a $40 inspection on AL.

I moved and called David. He came out and removed the equipment. He stored it for me for one month and when I moved he came out and installed it and did a great job. It is a neat clean look on the outside and the water is nice and soft and clean. He also reinstalled the RO system in the kitchen. He also ran a line from there to the refrigerator so I have nice clean water. Very happy and he cares about the quality of work he does. Will only use David. I recommend him to anyone. He also replaced the kitchen faucet with a new quality faucet.

Was very impressed with the timeliness of Daves's response. He was able to come out same day as initial phone call to evaluate our water softening needs. We agreed upon the system that would best suit our home needs and Dave arrived promptly the next day to install. We didn't have the need for the filter system; went with the pro series conditioner/softener. Dave did a great job on install and made sure that all hookups and wiring was neatly done. Dave takes great pride in his work and in his company and it shows! I have no doubt that even after the sale/install he will be available to answer any questions or concerns we may have.

This man/company is the most unprofessional business I have ever witnessed. My friend's well just blew and she is having a professional plumber evaluate whether this was caused by the shoddy work of TB Water or not.
Description of Work: I was staying with a friend while my house was being built. My personal items were in enclosed boxes in her garage. The owner of the company, Dave, was replacing a water softener/filtration system for my friend. He charged her a lot of money, dumped bleach into her well, and when she called him back out to fix it, he drained the hot water heater in the garage. Since he made a mess in her garage, he opened up my boxes and bags and pulled out all of my towels and sheets and mopped up the garage and left them out on the driveway. When approached, he said that these were dime store towels anyway and of no matter and even wrote that as a rebuttal on this site to my friend's review of his services. These were actually house warming gifts and brand new. He was mad at my friend because he didn't want to do anymore work on her property nor fix his mistake. He has NOT paid for the damage to my items, he violated trust and privacy by going through things that were NOT his and should have his insurance bond pulled should he even carry one.

We have never done business with [Member Name Removed] as this is a second attempt to damage our reputation. We did upgrade a very old inoperable well water treatment system and never did any work on the actual well or pump. [Member Name Removed] I was told was a house guest and had all her belongings packed into the garage if the home we installed a new system on. In the process of draining the water heater and replacing a damaged heating element , about 1 gallon of water leaked onto the floor, we had to act fast to save the furniture and other boxes/items from water seeping under and causing mold or damage, I saw a bag of old looking folded towels and grabbed 2 to soak up some clean water, and hung them to dry. They were not brand new with tags on them as she describes and also say we went through "all her boxes and sheets are included now too". The stories keep getting deeper and deeper. Her friend refused to pay us for the service and is trying to bash our company. We strive to provide the best customer service for all our customers. We never "dumped chlorine down her well" If fact what we did do at the customers request was try to shock chlorinate her very bad plumbing that was coated with slime and iron/sulfur bacteria from many years sitting in a non working state. This customer feels that her very bad well water and plumbing issues are TB Water's problem.

Dave replace entire water system for $3500 and it still smelled and then the water ran black. I asked him upon first meeting, "will your system fix my problems?" and he said, "yes, it will and no matter what I will make sure to have it working perfectly". Three times he didn't show up when promised and then complained to show up on a weekend when I had black water in my home. He blamed me, he blamed the plumbing, he blamed the well...but what happened was Dave put in a beautiful new system that probably works fine, but it wasn't the core of the issue and I believe he knew that before he took the job. I believe he knew that his system wasn't the answer but did it for the money. He was rude unprofessional when I told him the system wasn't doing what I had been told it would. He stated that because I am a single female homeowner that I was "lucky" to have him there to install the system. He used brand new designer towels that were in my garage to soak up his chlorinated water and when I asked him why he used them, he said, and I quote " nobody was around, they're just towels, you'll live". I've owned my own business for 17 yrs and I would never speak to a client like that. Dave appears charming and seems to know about water, but I think his business is getting too big and he no longer cares about quality, he just cares about making the money and it's sad because safe water for your family is priceless. I cannot recommend Dave.

Any prospective customer who is reading this can simply look at all of our A ratings and see that this is all an attempt to damage our reputation. Our number #1 goal is to provide outstanding customer service and our reputation is what drives our business. I provide all my customers with my personal cell phone # and they are free to call me anytime day or night if they have any problems or concerns. I don't know if any other water treatment company who would allow that type of access to the owner. Ms. [Member Name Removed] contacted us from a referral from a family friend. When a homeowner has a water treatment system on poor quality well water, and it's not properly maintained, the plumbing inside the home will get damaged. Kinetico was not taking care of the system and it was very old. Needed to be updated with modern technology. Let me first say that we never promised Ms. [Member Name Removed] that a new system would magically make her pipes brand new again, we did guarantee that the water coming out of the new equipment we installed would remove iron, sulfur, tannin, and hardness. We tested the water before and after the new state of the art well package she purchased and it had been verified many times that it does exactly that, produces soft odor free water. Ms. [Member Name Removed] feels that her plumbing issues is TB Water's problem, and that we should somehow either repipe her home or fix the issue, for FREE. I was at her home approximately 20 times and bent over backwards to try my best to help her situation. I discounted her new well package $1000 as she is a single mom with 2 young sons and was referred by a family friend. I never said "she's lucky" that's a total lie. I care about every customer we have. Every water treatment company is INDEPENDENT. No matter what brand or logo is on it. We are a family owned business. Ms. [Member Name Removed] has plumbing that is coated with sulfur and iron bacteria and her water is some of the worst I have ever seen. I told her I could try to shock chlorinate her plumbing and introduce a heavy dose of chlorine which would have to sit for 24 hrs. I NEVER SAID THIS WOULD BE DONE FOR FREE. After driving 45 min each way on a weekend , spending a total of approximately 4 hrs setting this up, then returning to flush the whole house, opening every faucet and draining the water heater twice, it seemed to clear up the plumbing temporarily. Ms. [Member Name Removed] had a friend living there recently divorced who packed all her belongings into the garage and while I was fixing her water heater (for free) because her breaker switch was mislabeled the upper element ruptured while draining it a 3rd time days after the chlorination shock process, about a gallon of fresh clean water leaked onto the ground, This happens. In order to save her friends furniture I saw a bag of folded towels, about 2ft away, they were old towels that looked like they could be donated to a thrift store. They were hardly the "brand new designer" towels she describes as she is trying to bash my company. I send her an email with a bill for $300 for my time, material, pipe fitting, and chlorine required to shock her plumbing and she thought this should be done Free as well. She decided to only pay me $250 because I ruined "ALL" the old towels. This is the only way she could justify paying me anything at all. I will admit after dealing with the constant phone calls and complaining about her house guests 2 old towels, I did say "she will live" when she made such a big deal over an old towel getting wet. Nobody was home at the time and she locked all doors so I had no choice to react and soak up the small amount of water. This customer was a nightmare to deal with from moment 1, we tried and tried to make her happy. I choose not to do business with her in the future. We installed this equipment months ago, but just last week her handyman text me complaining that her water was coming out black and I gave him simple instructions as to pinpoint that the problem was her plumbing. I install a hose bib for testing purposes and he filled a bucket with clean odor free water after the water has been treated by the new system. He verified that the system does work as designed and I have the text from him proving this and he said that it is her plumbing not my system. She needs a plumber to repipe her home! He did say "WOW" "this system looks super professional, I don't have anything like this at my home and I'm on the same well water" For $3500 she got the best system on the market today! Some people don't appreciate hard work and honest ethical service. She has chosen to try to damage my reputation months after the fact.

Thankfully Angie's List allows a response because there's always 2 sides to every story. I will personally mail this customer his $40 back so he has no hard feelings. In the 10 years I have been in business I have never seen a water system in more of a deplorable condition. When a digital circuit board is so melted from cooking in direct sunlight it will not turn on, and there's 50 wasps living inside and the salt tank is full of water with algae growing inside, the question is, what are we called out to inspect? The customer knows full well that system hasn't worked in years and that it needs to be disposed of. When you give a customer several options, as we have 7 different models on our website and also offer a lease for as low as $35 per month, and they still refuse to upgrade and replace, that's all we can do. I was there maybe 15 minutes, talked outside, no pressure or hard sales tactics, just friendly conversation. Its terrible when we hear "tried hard to sell us a new one." We wouldn't be doing our jobs if we didn't offer to replace the shot water system with a new one. When you drive an hour each way to inspect a completely shot big box store $399 disposable waterboss that cannot be repaired, but still keep a positive attitude knowing your time has been wasted all for $40. Yes we do carry a pool test kit as the city municipality uses Chloramine (chlorine and ammonia) to treat water. I'm most cases it tests out higher than a normal swimming pool. The chloramine ruins water softeners and customers are losing water pressure all over Tampa Bay as a result of poor water quality. The customer never mentioned or asked for the salt which we provide for operational systems.

Everything went well. Dave answered the phone right away and was able to come out same day (or next day I can't remember) It was quick. Came out and inspected my water softener. Gave me an idea of what it would take to get it back up to speed and we agreed to have him come back a week later. He was able to get all of the parts needed and did come out to repair that following week. He also recommended replacing my RO system as the one I had was cheap and it bad shape. Good water so far.
Description of Work: Older water softener system and RO system in need of repair/replacement.

It went perfect.. Showed up 10 minutes early, ready to work and by lunch time our brand new system was up and running.. I couldn't have asked for anything more..
Description of Work: Our water coming into our home was disgusting.. Damaging our clothes, clogging our shower heads and what not.. Very aggravating.. Did a google search, asked around an I kept hearing that TB Water was the best in our area.. Brought David into our home for a quote on a water softner, and within a week we had everything we had asked for and more.. Very knowledgeable, stood firmly behind his work and we have been nothing but smiles ever since..

Dave actually answered the phone when I called, no answering service or recorded voicemail. He came out the same day and adjusted the softener settings and reassured me that everything was working properly. He also tested my water and educated me on reverse osmosis systems, contaminants, and water ph. He is very professional and knowledgeable. I would definitely call TB WATER if you have any softener or purification needs.
Description of Work: I needed someone to check out my water softener settings and to check if my softener was working. Dave came out the same day I called and adjusted the softener settings and reassured me that things were in order.

Awesome! We recently moved into our home that has not had a softener ever (10 years). Fixtures and toilets were a mess with water spots, rust. White laundry was not coming out white. No suds in the shower. I emailed David and he called within 15 minutes. Came out the same day and assessed our needs and made his recommendations Even though we needed to bury part of the system and do quite a bit of digging, his price was the same and he was able to put it in the next day. Not your standard customer service at all. He does all his own work and is extremely knowledgeable. Finished during a thunderstorm and cleaned up afterwards. As a realtor, will be passing his name around!

David was on time an very professional. You informed and educated me on water softeners and their function. We inspected my system and determined that it was inoperable. The system needed to be fixed. He gave me no pressure repair options and I agreed to the repairs. The price was good and the repair was completed in a timely manner. Thanks
