 + -1 moreThe crew was on time. The work completed in one work day. My only problem is that the County building inspector violated the company for not getting a proper inspection. They had to remove some shingles so the inspector could see the work. Then they repaired the removed shingles.

 + -1 moreFrom the outset the company did an excellent job. Their representative arrived on time for the initial appraisal. They followed with a timely and accurate estimate. On the job, George and his crew did a professional and efficient job. The entire job took about four days and they worked until finished. The crew was polite, respectul of our privacy and of our property and created as few disruptions as can be expected on such a job. At one point water faucet was accidentally broken, but it was proactively and professionally fixed almost immediately. Upon finishing the job a rep. came out for a final review to be certain that all was done correctly. Add to this, a very fair and competitive price for the job!
Description of Work: Stay Dry re-roofed our 4,800 square foot, two story, duplex townhouse. They ripped out the old shingles and replaced with new 30 year dimensional shingles.

 + -1 moreQuick response to 1st phone call and sales rep did timely follow up as well. Heavy rains and some out of town travel on our part, delayed reps looking at the repair. However when he came out Danny was great about showing concern for finding the exact shingle, very important in our development! We obtained the information for him from our home builder. The estimate seemed high for such a small job, but we wanted the repair done rather than take more time for additional calls and estimates. The roofer was scheduled to come do the repair. He was unable to make it but did not call. I placed follow up phone calls to relate he needed to let me know when he planned to come otherwise the security gate wouldn't let him in. Apparently that caused confusion, and a few days later we were calling to see when the workman planned to do the repair. He did come as rescheduled. Presumably the repair has corrected the problem.

 + -1 moreWhen they answered their phone, there was little delay and they got back to me in the specified time. The gentleman came out and did a minor repair and roof inspection. The repair only took about 20 minutes, but he didn't charge me anything. He did the repair and said to just keep him in mind if we needed future roofing work.

 + -1 moreStay Dry was an excellent company to do the job. A few years ago, I had called them for an estimate. They were the only company to tell me that I still had a few good years left in the roof. When the time finally came to re-roof, I called them. The price was competitive and the people great to deal with. They were timely and kept to schedule. The workmen were a bit sloppy--I found lots of tacks and empty cold drink bottles around the perimeter-- but the quality of the work was excellent.

 + -1 moreTHIS WAS THE 1ST TIME I'VE HAD A MAJOR REPAIR PURCHASE ON MY PROPERTY, AND IT IS SCARY, SO HAVING SOMEONE I FELT WAS TRUSTWORTHY WAS IMPORTANT. THE ROOF LOOKED GREAT, I'M WAITING TO SEE IF IT MAKES IT THROUGH THE RAINY SEASON WITH NO LEAKS, BUT IF THEIR REPUTATION IS AS GOOD AS IT SEEMS IT SHOULD.

 + -1 moreExtremely responsive, and quality work from what we can tell so far. We've had several neighbors comment on how nice it looks. We got three estimates and Stay-Dry was the lowest (not by too much, though). Gave us Angie's discount. Completed the roof in 3-4 days, and total turnaround from approval to completion was less than 2 weeks. The only complaint we had was that they did leave many roofing nails in the yard - but we would recommend them to others. The guys doing the work were pleasant and arrived on time every day.

 + -1 moreEverything was handled professionally from the first call to set up the appointment to the final inspection. The price was also very reasonable compared to other quotes. I did have one leak during a rainstorm after they finished, but they came out promptly to fix the problem. Unfortunately, we have not had any significant rain since so I can't comment on the repairs yet, but the crew that came to repair it seemed to know what the problem was and how to repair it. I have no doubts that if there are any further problems, they would be handled quickly as well. My only gripe would be that the crew left one day saying they would be back the next to finish up, but they failed to show the next day. In all fairness ,though, it was a holiday weekend (the day they were supposed to come back was not a holiday), and it really was not that big an issue to me. I am overall very satisfied.
Description of Work: Complete re-roofing of 2-story home including replacement of several sheets of plywood and replacement of roof vents.

 + -1 moreManny Sotolongo carefully repaired the leaks without submitting a bill. I had expected just to receive an estimate for future work. This showed me that he knows the meaning of having a roof over one's head, and the worry and structural damage that can be caused by even a small leak. He also spent time concisely explaining how he repaired the leaks, and why he did it that way. He takes time to measure to confirm his opinions.
Description of Work: The estimator/roofer repaired the two leaks I was aware of. 1) A nail-pop in a shingle gable roof which had been installed by another roofer, and 2) One caused by an incorrectly flashed flat, bitumen roof also installed by another contractor. He also checked out the roof and found that the continuous roof vent opening had been cut too wide, and a leak could develop in that space. So, he sealed that, too.

 + -1 moreMy overall experience was wonderful - especially after all the hurricanes we have had. I highly recommend Stay Dry Roofing. They are honest and upfront, and you don't pay until the work is finished and you review it with them. There were absolutely no problems, only really good service and prices.
Description of Work: I called the company for an estimate on Jan 23 for my 25+ year old roof and was scheduled for an on-site estimate for Jan 26. The salesman, Manny, performed a careful evaluation of my entire roof and went over each detail in the proposal thoroughly. The proposal included new underlayment of #30 felt & replacement of all vents, pipes, flashings and valley metal as required, applied new 6 inch eave trim a new GAF dimensional shingle roof, with posted permit and 5 year workmanship/30 year manufacturer's warranty. The estimate was $11,070 for dimensional shingles. I agreed to the work the same day, and the work started on Mon, Feb 5. The crew was very careful to ask where to place the waste bins, and they worked full days until the roof was finished by the end of the 4th day of work. They did have to replace 6 sheets of plywood and 30 feet of 2 x 6 from the portion of the roof where we had been losing shingles. The clean-up was great; we have not found any roofing nails laying around.
