They were quick and did an excellent job and I would not hesitate to refer them or use them again. The rep. that came to my home to give me the estimate, as well as the rep. who came to inspect the final job were friendly and professional.
Description of Work: They removed an old, unneeded chimney and repaired a few spots that needed new plywood, removed and replaced shingles and repaired flat roof. They were there first thing in the morning and were done by the time I got home from work, and I have never noticed the first roofing nail anywhere around the perimeter of the house. They also installed roof vents, which the old roof did not have.

Manny, the sales manager, was very professional and helpful. He came out to give us the estimate, explained, and illustrated the repair that needed to be done. The office scheduled the appointment quickly and billed us right away. The work was completed satisfactorily. The crew did a great clean-up and there were no traces of debris.
Description of Work: Stay-Dry Roofing repaired a minor leak in our solatube. They removed and replaced the old shingles around the base of the solatube, properly fastened the solatube, applied plastic roofing cement around the entire flange and sealed around the top lens cap with silicone. The company stood by their workmanship with a one-year warranty for the work.

Sales Mgr., Manuel Sotolongo, promptly called back and set a time when he would be in my area. Since I was not going to be home that day; he said he would stop by, measure the house and leave a sealed quote in my front door. He did as he promised, along with a note to call him with any questions. While his quote was in line with the other (2) "A" rated Angie's List companies I met with; I opted for one of them. However, I would still encourage anyone with roofing needs, to check out Stay Dry.

Manny was prompt in coming out to examine and give estimate. A few glitches in getting the work scheduled, took a few weeks to get the work actually done (didn't respond to signed faxed contract, supervisor didn't get back to me re: scheduling until I had placed a few prompting calls.) Once the two man crew came, they did a very good job of repairs, took Polaroid pictures of the damage and repairs made, and left the site clean (w/the exception of roofing nails left in driveway that I found and removed.)
Description of Work: Had a roof leak. Flashing installed improperly by previous roofing company.

The weather was terrible, and the workers did a beautiful job with coat and gloves on. They included 3 4'' ridge vents which my home did not have before. The day after the work was finished, Curtis, the Superintendent came to give a final inspection. He wasn't completely satisfied and asked 2 of the workers to come and fix a couple of things on the roof. My home looks like a million bucks.

The project went very smoothly and the work appears to be excellent. All representatives of the company conducted themselves very professionally, including those who worked on the roof all day. The company contacted us according to schedule and completed the work on the day/time estimated with a 1/2 day delay due to rain. The final price of the project was exactly as estimated.

I was very pleased from start to finish with this company. From the first call to the last call, they were efficient and pleasant. Manny (sales manager) made an appointment to come look at our roof. He was courteous, thorough, and explained the written estimate. Once we decided to use the company, they immediately called (couple of days) to set an appointment for replacement. The company called a week or so later to ask if we'd like our roof replaced the next day because they had a cancellation. We agreed, and the crew arrived the next morning, bright, and early. The crew was efficient and cleaned up after themselves. Within a few day, Curtis (inspector) came to inspect the roof. In between the day they finished and Curtis coming out for an inspection, it rained a river, and the roof didn't leak at all. The company is pleasant, efficient, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: We needed the flat roof (approximately 20x20) replaced on the back of the house. The old one was old, worn, and had started to leak extensively. We have an L-shaped house that has two A-framed roofs. The flat roof fit into the L-shape of the house, so several roofers were unwillingly to replace it because it connected to the A-frames.

The sales call and office staff were very prompt and professional. We got only one other estimate for this job and Stay Dry was $1000 less than the other company for exactly the same brand, style and color of tiles. However, our re-roof turned into a 4 day process for what should have been a 1 day job. Day 1 a dumpster was dropped in our front yard and stayed there until day 4. Day 2 the crew showed up first thing in the morning and by lunch time had the old tiles removed. They were finished for the day because the tiles weren't there yet. They were delivered at 8:00 that night. Day 3 the crew showed up again first thing in the morning and were done laying the new tile by lunch time. They were preparing to leave although there was tar dripping all over the white trim. I had to stand there while they took turns cleaning all of it off. The added challenge was that none of them were English-speaking. Day 4 the dumpster was taken away. Roof looks great but unnecessary aggravation.
Description of Work: The old shingles were removed and new 3 dimensional shingles were put on our house and utility shed.

Stay Dry was willing to take on repairing roofing job incorrectly done by another company that caused a leak and damage to our home. Stay Dry explained what needed to be done, and provided a very reasonable estimate. Not only that, but the person who came out to do the job explained everything he was going to do, and even took pictures for me of the improperly installed ridge vent and the underlying wood (and damage) after he pulled the shingles off. He showed me other damage (wood rot) that the other contractor had missed, as well as explained why the original ridge installation was not correct. Additionally, they removed the old chimney and sealed the sides of an additional flat roof for me. As a result of the original roofing company never getting an inspection of any kind, I had to pull a permit myself and get the inspection done. Stay Dry was willing to work with me under those conditions. They did a wonderful job. It looks great, and no more roof leak!
Description of Work: Repaired the wood under a ridge vent that was installed improperly, installed a new Cobra ridge vent, removed the old furnace chimney, and sealed the edges of a flat roof.

We used Stay Dry 3 years ago to replace our pitch roof and were happy w/ the results. Manny (Sales Rep) was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The roofing crew showed up promptly at 9:30 am and got right to work. One of the roofers dropped a plank of wood off of the roof and broke the outside faucet causing mass amounts of water to rush out uncontrollably. No one shut off the main water valve for several minutes. My husband was home and did it himself. No one told us that they were going to fix it. My husband had to approach them to find out what would be done. We had to call a plumber and they would deduct the cost from our invoice. Tar dripped down the fascia and onto our brand new wood deck, several rotten wood planks were not replaced, roofing nails were not picked up, and they left Gatorade bottles and trash. Kurt (Supervisor) did his best to rectify the problems. Someone came out and cleaned up the tar and replaced 1 wood plank. We realize 3 planks still not replaced.
Description of Work: Our flat roof was re-done. They removed existing built up roof and removed debris, applied one layer of red rosin paper, underlayment of 43# base sheet, replaced vent and pipe flashing, applied 2 layers of fiberglass with hot asphalt, applied cap sheet, modified bitumen.

The project went well overall. The real story is the fact that I hired someone who purported to be a licensed contractor, but he turned out to be a liar. Stay-Dry came to my rescue.

I phoned, made an appointment, someone came on time to examine and give price, worker came to do work on time, and with the next downpour of rain there were no more leaks. Polite, prompt. I'm not a good judge of price, but I chose them because I had them do an excellent job before and that is more important to me than price, plus I was given a senior discount.

Excellent work! Very punctual, did a thorough job and was very courteous. They also gave me an honest assessment of the condition of my roof prior to the repair. I thought the whole roof might need replacing, but they told me it was still good for another few years. Now that's honesty!

He was on time, very professional, and helpful.
Description of Work: I had 3 roof repair estimates ranging from $250 to $800. Manny from Stay Dry came out to give an estimate. He explained everything to me, cemented a ripped shingle, and put some silicone on a couple screws. He even helped me learn how to get on the roof myself (I was scared before). A great experience- I have used them before and they did a fantastic job then too.

Called the company and was told someone will contact me within 12 hours to set up an appointment for an inspection. Three days and numerous calls later, I kept getting the same information from the person who answered the phone, she stated she passed the message to the person who does the inspection. This company breaches the first line of basic communication, responsibility, and trustworthiness, and thus it's fair to make an assumption that they are less than credible.
