SOUTHERN SOUND

Description of Work: I had used these guys 15 years ago when I moved here and there were touch ups from the movers that they handled and they did an excellent job. I was excited they were still in business and confident that the dent and scratch in my table could be repaired to my satisfaction. I was told by Leon when he came out to inspect the damage that it would not be perfect. Leon told me straight out he would not be able to get the dent completely out. I realized it would not be perfect but when I received it back the spot in question wasn't even completely covered by a touch up pen and there was another scratch on the table that in my opinion if when he was working on it would surely had taken the initiative to buff out but I had his son do it when he delivered the table back. There was a chunk of wood missing ot he side of the table also which they fixed when I pointed it out. I am extremely meticulous and I know these things were not there when it went out. We called Leon and told him our displeasure but he just reiterated he told us that was the best it could be. I was very upset he did not even offer to come out and look at it again and see what I was trying to point out. I called Leon and we talked after delivery and he just reiterated that he told me it would not be completely repaired. I understand that but again, I expected a better job and was surprised he did not offer to try a little more. This was a $500 repair and it probably would of been better to spend what I needed to to get the whole table refinished. I would not use them again.

Description of Work: Installed equipment for indoor and outdoor sound (music, television, etc.); added swivel bracket for 65" outdoor television; iPad Mini controller of multiple sound zones throughout the home.

Description of Work: Repaired an armoire for me. The moving company paid for it.

Description of Work: Glued the front of antique chair. Piece had fallen off where caning meet.

Description of Work: Piano bench boxed collapsed when grandson shifted his weight without lifting off the bench. The torque shattered the box. the legs were all intact.

Description of Work: I have a Rosewood China Cabinet that had some damage from a recent move. My employer covered my move and requires that I submit repair estimates before they will evaluate my claim. I called Southern Transit to get an estimate for repairs and Shirley was helpful to get the appointment scheduled. On the day of my appointment, Leon called to advise when he was on the way and about 30 minutes out. However he arrived about 30 minutes later than his estimate. Lean and his assistant did a very thorough evaluation and explained what they found and how they could repair it. I beleive that they are very knowledgable and experienced. Once my claim is processed, I will have Southern Transit perform the repairs.
