This is a solicited review. Decided to replace our old roof after more frequent repairs for more severe leaks over the past 6 yrs. After several bids for job, we chose this company as we liked the way the tiles were placed, using a foam installation technique developed in the wake of Hurricane Andrew and considered the best tile placement technique in Hurricane prone areas. The sales rep, Derek was knowledgeable and responsive. We gave a 50% downpayment check on October 25, 2018 (26,000 USD). We agreed that work would start around 1st or 2nd wk of January. Work began third week of February. Final day of work was August 1, 2019. In the company's zeal to secure more jobs in community (lots of tile roofs), they bit off more than they could chew. The job literally went days and weeks with little to no work with no communication on their end unless we initiated contact. The initial demolition and repairs went quickly but then we waited. We were assigned a "foreman" who we think we met twice in the 6 + months the job was sporadically ongoing (work a day or two, then off for two or three...). It was never clear who was in charge. I spoke with some who were completely unresponsive, if not rude (no doubt because of being overextended, which I get...), to those who were very responsive and even admitted that they couldn't believe some of the stuff that we were willing to put up with to get the job done. We always felt that we could express our concerns, however were never quite sure how the company would respond to our issues, many of which did escalate up whatever "chain of command" there was, including site supervisors, job supervisors, foreman, and sales reps. Unfortunately, we never received any attention from the company owners, despite requesting that site supervisors and sales people make the owner aware of things like delays, damage to our home, safety issues, quality of the work, professional issues of work crew (used yard like garbage can AND bathroom!). I lost confidence in the company after pointing out a defect in the placement of tile over the garage. There was a huge HUMP about 10 feet long by 6 feet wide where tiles were raised off the underlayment leaving an unsightly gap close to an inch or 2. Pointed it out to 3 different people, all of whom told us that because of a previous home addition added on in this area, the hump was present because of the differences in the roofline and that nothing could be done. What choice did we have but to believe them, until the REPAIR CREW came to replace some chipped tiles (a job that they thought would take half a day at most). When we showed him the garage, the guy literally threw his hands in the air, exasperated, and said that they laid the original tile incorrectly, applying "TOO MUCH FOAM" which caused the tiles to elevate. He was able to remove the large area and re-do. No hump now, but it took them over a week to make all the repairs. That three other employees did not concede poor workmanship is obviously of concern. 3. Same story when we pointed out shoddy work in aligning the tile edges to underlaid flashing in roofline valleys. "That is the way it is supposed to look" until we asked them if they actually MEASURED anything? The site supervisor told me they would get "someone out to fix", which they did, but added additional time to project that had it been done correctly the first time....They paid for pool cage repair (damaged during job) and landscape damage sustained by rolling over bushes with a wheelbarrow for 6 months. BOTTOM LINE: our home is DRY, they took care of issues at their own pace but required that as diligent customers with a $50K+ investment, we bring up issues instead of the workers recognizing them outright. Biggest concern with job was lack of attention to detail, poor time management and inconsistent communication. The owners were paid. We received the standard 5 year warranty on repairs. Separate material warranty from tile company. will use for duration of warranty

They did a good job. I don't live there so it a lot of trust. Good communication. Very knowledgeable.

We received 3 quotes from Angie's List roofers and selected Southern Pro Restoration. We selected Southern Pro because they are a Master Elite Distributor for GAF. Nick Graham, Senior Sales Director, was our primary contact. He was very professional and easy to deal with as he explained all of the roofing options that were available. Their pricing was competitive so it was an easy decision to award the contract to Southern Pro knowing that we would be dealing directly with Nick who was our primary contact. Nick not only sold us on using Southern Pro, but also recommended a financing option that we used in order to pay for the roof over time. Their installers and Matt Mullen, Production Manager, were extremely hard working and did a wonderful job with the removal of the old and the installation of the new roof.. They also had to change out 26 sheets of plywood at an additional cost due to all of our leaks after 30 years. They made a genuine effort to clean up each day and especially after the project was completed. Nick even came by after the first day of installation in order to check on everything himself. In addition, he also came by on Saturday the day after the roof was completed and spent and hour going around the house with his magnet looking for spare roofing nails that were not found by their crew previously. Of course, he found some nails because no roofing company can guarantee you that 100% of their nails are picked up after their cleanup even though their crew went around our home twice already. We highly recommend Southern Pro and especially Nick Graham who went above and beyond what we expected a sales representative to do after the sale was completed. We strongly recommend them and would definitely use them again.

Their rep came and gave us all the information that we needed to make an informed decision. He understood that we were considering several contractors and gave us his best price. It wasn't the lowest bid, but when you consider the costs of additional charges it was very competitive. Most of the other companies gave low ball pricing, but hid their costs in additional (inevitable charges for fixing bad wood). We had a weather delay, but they did their best to get us taken care of quickly. I explained that our home's refinancing was contingent upon the roof being replaced and they moved us up in the que. The workers were very diligent and professional. They performed the job over two days exactly as the foreman described. They removed the old shingles, and showed me any wood that had to be replaced before they replaced it, which I appreciated. They did no damage to my other property by ensuring that it was protected and being careful. I felt sorry for the crew, because they worked right through during very hot conditions. All of their work was done very professionally. They cleaned up and left no sign that they had ever been here, other than a beautiful, new roof. I highly recommend Southern Pro Restoration!

Nick was my sales rep and he was very easy to communicate with. As for the roof, it passed inspection and they got it done in 2 days as promised. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. Nick made it very easy.

I loved them! They were great and did a great job. They cleaned up after themselves. I would give them a 10! They only left a little piece of wood unpainted which they came back to paint. It wasn't their responsibility but I appreciated they came back. I already recommended them.

It went perfectly smooth and would definitely hire Southern Pro again without hesitation.
