Contact Small Jobs Electric whenever you need a professional electrician with more than 30 years of experience serving residential clients, the local company can handle any of your electrical needs at home. We charger by the job and not by the hour. The electrician would need to come out and look at what is needed and where and then he would be able to provide a price to complete the work. If you are a new customer, we are running a limited time promotion that waives our $29 dispatch fee for new customers. We do have to meet whoever is paying for the services at the time that we go out to the home. If you would like to schedule an appointment the best way to reach us is by phone at 813.968.5856.
Thank you and have a great day!
Initial visit lasted about 5mins. I was told surveyor would be out between 3p-5p, and he showed up at about 4:50pm. HE looked around, gave me a quote that was agreeable (but still a bit high), and said we could schedule something tomorrow if I called to et it up (since the office was already closed by the time he left my house). Job was booked for the next week. Technicians Ryan and a very nice Hispanic gentleman arrived to complete job at 9am sharp (as scheduled!). They put on "booties" so tht they would make tracks on the carpet, and proceeded to finish both jobs in excellent time. They had all parts necessary, and accepted the ANGIE'S LIST COUPON at time of completion. Both technicians were knowledgable, and friendly. They weren't afraid to work around a few technical difficulties. Other than being slightly a bit more than I expected, they did a great job, and now my wife & I have some beautiful additions to our home.

We bought a condo that is in an old renovated motel so we have a cement wall running down the middle of the unit which means you cant always do what you want with wiring and running lines. Small Jobs took the time to figure out what would be the least intrusive way of running power and installing the fans. I am very pleased with their work and would hire them again.

Charged $158 to replace two outside lights that were already pre-wired and replaced a wall timer(five minutes) at a cost of $49. I asked if the electrician would program the timer and was told the total cost to install and program was $149. Needless to say, the cost to program I felt was excessive, so I programed myself in five minutes. All work was done in one hour and five minutes and did not involve Small Jobs providing any parts. The cost for one hour was $207 to which I applied a $25 coupon for a final cost of $182. As a businessman, I can appreciate a company charging what they think the market will bear but I feel that Small Jobs takes advantage of being "on-site" to make a little extra. Treat a customer fairly and they come back and refer other customers to you. Contrary to Small Jobs response to other customers that have expressed similar concerns, I didn't feel their charges were in line with other electricians and would not use them again.

I described my problem (thrown breaker that would not reset - no power to multiple outlets & lights inside and out) and what I thought was causing it( poor work by a previous provider 10 years ago). The tech then went to the breaker box in the garage and looked at the breaker in question. It was thrown and would not reset. We went back inside the house. Then he: 1) removed the cover on a wall outlet (the one I pointed out) 2) clipped one wire from a previous workers install 3) informed me the previous work was faulty 4) went to the breaker box & threw the breaker 5) called to me in the house to ask if the power was back on (it was) 6) put the screws back in the outlet and reattached it to the wall And that was it. He said I had a direct short somewhere as a result of the previous work. My inside lights worked, but nothing outside worked. He said repairing that would take considerable time and cost as the work was all wrong. I was OK with that, but I thought $79.plus the service call was too high for 15 minutes work. I was able to use my Angie's list coupon to reduce the cost, but I still believe the cost too high. Final thought, if you can afford the rates, they are very professional.

The visit went very well. Ron was very educated and experienced. We purchased a home which clearly had some scary additions from the previous homeowner. I wish people who didn't know electrical code would not attempt such alterations but unfortunately I see too many "do it yourself to death" type jobs. Ron quickly corrected the fuse box issues as well as educate me on improvements I could make in the future. The bathroom exhaust job also went well. All work performed was clean and neat.
Description of Work: Performed an evaluation on two fuse boxes, multiple light fixtures, installed one outlet under kitchen sink, installed bathroom exhaust fan and switch for same.

Ryan came within the timeframe we were told he would arrive. He inspected the light fixtures we had problems with and gave us a quote for each repair. He replaced the ballast for our garage light fixture very quickly. When he realized he did not have the right size ballast for the bathroom light, he told us he'd have to go get the part. That particular size ballast was much smaller in size and was not as easily replaceable since the standard was now a larger size. Ryan and Adam came the next day and they brought a whole new ballast fixture with new light bulbs to replace the old one in the bathroom. It took them less than 20 minutes to replace it. Everything works great now. We paid exactly what they said we would pay. They stuck to the estimates he originally gave us. We would definitely hire Small Jobs Electric again for anything electrical we need fixing. We were impressed with Ryan's service and honesty.

Ron called when he was on his way, and showed up exactly on time. The job was finished in the expected timeframe. He and his co-worker were friendly and efficient. They did minimal damage to the outside landscaping in order to run the outside line into a location in the yard. They had to climb into the hot attic to run the line from the panel... and nothing was damaged. Ron was helpful and professional in explaining the work that had been done.

It went off without a hitch. They arrived for the estimate when scheduled. I was provided with the estimate before the technician left. The scheduled day and time od installation was met and technician even came up with an improved routine for wires which further hid them from view. It was a weel executed operation.
