We've used SEC twice because the first house we put a contract on fell through. We found the inspectors to be quite thorough and informative. After finishing they reviewed all the details and answered all our questions in language suitable for a lay person. The second inspector even went to the trouble of calling me from his home after work to explain something I wasn't clear on. I guess the best compliment I can pay SEC is that I would use them again.

It was a wonderful experience. He was on time, his explanation was great, he offered follow-up help and got the report into my lap the next day. Everything was perfect and I have no complaints. He said if I need his help again he'd be more than happy to help me out, but he also said go to Angie's List and they'll help you out too. I highly recommend them. They're very flexible and didn't worry about the payment, he just said, 'I'll bail you out.' I went to others and some of them were questionable. It just takes one little negative thing.

On time and excellent work, only thing I think could have been done better is giving recommendations on how and if to fix items. And I had to point out a thing or two that the inspector might or might have not caught later.

SEC Pest Services is always timely and professional. I am notified when they will provide services and I have never had to contact them for indoor issues. They take care of my pets and do a thorough job. They are able to handle all the external pest needs and yet cost half of what I was paying for another company where I still had problems with ants during seasonal changes.

SEC Inspections was thorough, knowledgeable and professional. After explaining what they would be looking for and detailing the elements on the report they reviewed everything with me. They emailed the report to my insurance agent within twenty four hours. They indicated that this would save me money on my insurance. A few weeks later I received a check for close to one thousand dollars on Christmas Eve! That was a very nice surprise. At the beginning of the year when I received my Mortgage information, my monthly payments were reduced by almost a hundred each month. All because SEC Inspections were able to verify safety features of my home. So a $75 inspections saved me $2,000 in one year!

No issues, no problems. I will use them again without hesitation.

The whole process was made so simple for me. From the courteous lady making the appointment to, the email reminding me of the appointment date, and the arrival of Dave, the neat and clean (in SEC uniform) punctual inspector.

The inspector arrived the day after we called. He checked every inch of the house, then sent us a detailed report the next day.

Our experience was pleasant right from the initial phone call. The person taking my call explained what the service entailed and the cost. She even told me who would be handling our inspection service. The night before the appointment, I received a text message reminder with contact information. On the day of the call, he was prompt, helpful and friendly (according to my husband, since I was not present). We received our inspection report as promised via email within 24 hours. Overall excellent experience and I wish I'd hired them when I moved in!

They did a very thorough inspection. The report I received was also very thorough, with pictures, & I can rely on it for certain other things. They were punctual & suggested repairs that were very helpful. I can rely on their findings for later repair.

Serviceman arrived on time, explained the service thoroughly and described how and when the treatment would work. Also provide the chemical names of the treatment used, and assured it would not be harmful to pets or children.

Jenn and Mike were awesome. Jenn provided great details of what would be done during the home inspection. She gave a breakdown of the pricing and informed me of the things that were optional (e.g., a wind migration inspection). Mike came out and performed the inspection. As he progressed through the property he explained each issue in layman's terms and the appropriate severity level. He also explained how he would be completing the certification paperwork and why. As a first time homebuyer, I could not have asked for a better experience.

Rick did the Home Inspection of the house we are purchasing and was very helpful. He was very thorough as you would want when you are about to make a major purchase. Rick did a great job explaining what he was doing\looking for while I was with him most of the time through the inspection. If there was something that he felt was unique to the house he would show me while he was doing the inspection. If there was something I didn't understand he would take the time to explain it which was very helpful over past experiences with Home Inspectors. He provided suggestions on items that we should consider repairing or replacing either for safety purposes or for efficiency and cost saving purposes. After he was completed he walked around the whole house inside and out to go over areas he called out in the inspection with my Realtor and me. I was pleased with the decision to use SEC and would highly recommend them to anyone.

What a wonderful company. After dealing with another company who was rude and unprofessional. I then found SEC on Angie's List. From the first phone call it was a pleasant experience. Melissa made an appointment with me for the following day. Dave called to see if it would be okay if he came earlier then scheduled, due to finishing early with his other appointment. Of course I said it was fine. Dave was very friendly and professional. He conducted the inspection, went over it with me and then gave me a few suggestions and pointers that would help me in the future. It was so refreshing to deal with a company who treats their customers with respect and professionalism. In todays world you never know who is coming to your house. SEC cares about their customers with out doubt. I would highly recommend them to family and friends. I know that I will be using them again in the future.

Rick was also the inspector of my new home and he did an amazing job. The inspection he did was carried out very professionally and very thorough. At the end he was very explanatory of all the conditions of items he was inspecting. If there was something I didn't understand he took the time to explain it in explicit detail. He also gave me suggestions on the items that I should consider getting repaired/replaced first for safety purposes as well as some things to optional considerations in terms of efficiency and cost saving repairs. As a first time home buyer, i was VERY pleased with my decision to use SEC.

Rick was well acquainted with state and county codes. He explained his findings in detail. Exellent job for homeowners insurance policy coverage due the following day.

Did not find horrible insect problem.

Chris was very professional. Explained all of the findings and what they meant in terms of the quality of the construction done on the 30 year old home. The report was promptly emailed to me the next day and copied to my insurance agent. The savings from the inspection paid for the service and much more.

I called them to do wind mitigation survey because I just wanted to get it done before the end of the year and he came out right away, I think the next day. The price was good. He did the survey, was very thorough and took a lot of time. He gave us all the credits that he could based on the survey. He gave us some things that could increase the survey. They were good.

My insurance agent recommended this company to do a wind inspection on our home. I called and scheduled an appointment. SEC followed up with a reminder call the day before they came. The day of the inspection, Melissa arrived on time and explained the entire process to me. She answered all of my questions and was able to give me additional information regarding securing my home. Melissa was very professional, courteous and helpful.
