carpet cleaners
+ -1 moreHorrible. He told me that the carpets couldn't be cleaned on my laminate floors (they were 2 other times by 2 other companies). He dragged both carpets into my garage and "cleaned" them there. He left wet stinking carpets in my garage and he left. I don't know what he "cleaned" them with but it smells awful. I am 70 years old. I don't have any option at this point but to hire someone to cart them away and I have a living room and dining room with no carpet.
Description of Work: I hired Sears to clean and deodorize my 2 8x12 carpets. I was quoted a price of $149. When the tech arrived he immediately measured the rugs and said the price was $199 because I added a small throw rug into the mix.

+ -1 moreSears was very accomidating from the customer service person I spoke with when right before my scheduled timeframe of the cleaning, Duke Energy folks decided to cut the electrical power for several hours and do some work outside of my home. Their customer service person couldn't have been more helpful and then the man came to clean the carpets. He was very nice and did a great job!

+ -1 moreI have used them in the past as well. They sent one person out to do the job. They got the job done in about 2 hours. They are very easy to schedule with and I have never had any issues.
Description of Work: They cleaned the carpet in the entire house. They cleaned 8 different rooms.

+ -1 moreThe technician said he would arrive between 12:00 and 5PM. I felt the time gap was too long in between time to wait. The technician arrived about 4:30. I informed him I had to be somewhere at 6:00 PM. I asked if he would like to reschedule the job. He replied he could complete the two rooms and hallway by 5:30. It took only 45mins to complete both rooms and the hallway. The living room had a small circular stain of dog urine. I was real pleased that the stain was completely gone after he cleaned it. The other room and the hallway looked cleaned while wet. The next day After the rooms were dry, the hallway still had stains of spilled coffee and other minor stains. I called Sears. Another person was sent to redo the hallway, and also offered to redo the second room. The hallway carpet looked so much better. I was pleased the second time. I also received a call from Sears asking if I was completely satisfied. I was given a coupon for a discount for other rooms of a carpet cleaning next time they are cleaned.

+ -1 moreMy experience with them was good. They were punctual. They did it good and cleaned it right. I got the cleaning that I wanted.
Description of Work: I used Sears Carpet and Upholstery Care for carpet cleaning. They did my whole downstairs area as well as the carpet on my stairs. So they did three rooms plus stairs.

+ -1 moreI spoke with Ron to make an appointment for carpet cleaning. He would not accomodate my time from 4pm to 7pm on any day except saturday. In fact he became argumentative at which time I hung up. I will never call again.

+ -1 moreI set up the whole thing online. The guy came out right away and did an okay job but the tiles were just a little bit too wet. I had to mop the tiles up after it was finished. My mom is in her 80s and I didn’t want her to walk on the wet floor. He was very pleasant and respectful, and was nice to my mom. There wasn’t anything wrong with him but just that his follow-up wasn’t so great. He was here for a long time. After he had left, I had to call and tell him that he had left his little container with cleaning solution out on the front porch. Somebody came back and picked it up. The price was fine. My mother was thrilled with them and she intends to have them back next year.
Description of Work: I used them to wash the floor for my mom. They basically cleaned the tiles and the grout.

+ -1 moreIt was very difficult to deal with. We had to make multiple phone calls because they wouldn't call us back. They say 100% satisfaction guaranteed, but they ruined our carpet and did nothing about it. The cost of the experience was not only the charge for carpet cleaning ($226.00), but also the cost of replacing the carpet ($1,350.00)
Description of Work: They came and cleaned the carpets in the whole house. The carpet was wet for days! It ended up mildewing and we had to have them come back out and clean the carpet again, but the mildew smell wouldn't come out. Sears wouldn't make it right either. We had to have the carpet in the bedroom and in the bedroom closet replaced and the carpet in the living room replaced. They sent someone out to evaluate the carpet, but they said the mildew was there before. The carpet was dirty, but it was not mildewed. We lived there before they cleaned the carpet and we know there was no mildew. They have a pre-cleaning assessment where they make notes of previous damage before they begin to clean. There is nothing in the pre-clean check claiming there was mildew in the house. The carpet was so wet, they told us there must be a leak and we had a professional plumber come out and check out all the plumbing and verify there were no leaks anywhere in our house. Then they tried to tell us our carpet is wool and wool holds water. Our carpet is not wool, its synthetic.
