Rick's Pressure Washing

The way one would expect an A rated service to go. This is not the first time we have used this service and plan to use him again when the situation arises.

Rick was extremely professional and explained the entire procedure (this was our first experience with this type of work.) He did not give us a hard sales pitch the way the other companies we contacted did. Rick is used by many neighbors in our community, and after speaking with him, we felt comfortable hiring him. He did everything he said he would and kept the property clean. After the roof cleaning in August, we had Rick come back to do our lanai and pool enclosure. Both experiences were excellent and we plan to use him again. I have recommended him to several friends.

With the pressure washing he told me they would use an environmentally friendly product. It was chlorine. One of the door locks would not work after they left and I had to get help getting it to work and one door I was not able to use because of the swollen wood. The house looks like it is newly painted The deck that was to be "painted" (waterproofed) was not at all done to my satisfication and when he came to look at it he offered to do it again for more money. I insisted that it be done correctly he said he would be back the next day. Never returned or answered the phone.

untrustworthy, unethical. Before I hired Ricky, I was very adamant than no chemicals could be used on our house since all of the water from my gutters and drains go into three 900-gallon tanks that are used for irrigation. If chemicals go into the water, it will kill my landscaping. I was clear - if you can't drink it, it can't go into the tanks. We live on the water, and we have a LEED certified platinum home. When it can be avoided, we do not use chemicals because of the tanks and because of runoff into the water. I hired him to power wash my house and seal my pavers. He gave me a separate quote for each. He said it was $950 for the house and $1800 for the pavers. He and his crew did a great job on the house without chemicals. I paid him in full for that (cash). He asked for $900 before he started the paver job so he could buy supplies. I gave him that (cash). He power-washed the pavers. After he power-washed, he started sealing on the second floor balcony. When I went up to check on him, he had the hose and was rinsing something off the pavers and down into the drain. I asked him what it was - he said it was acid. I immediately told him to stop - that the acid was going into my tanks. I was dumbfounded that he was using acid when the entire reason I hired him was because I didn't want him using chemicals that would into the tanks. As he said, I interviewed several contractors who I did not hire because they insisted on using chemicals. I told him I would pay him for his time, and that I did not want him to finish the job. He left with the unused product. I called him several times so we could settle up on what I owed him for the power-wahing, and to get the remainder of my deposit returned. He texted me two weeks later and told me he ran the numbers, and was keeping my $900 deposit. He said I owed him an additional $100 or so, but that he would "call it even". He said his quote included a discount because he was power-washing the house and sealing the tile. But, since he didn't do the tile, he changed the price per square foot for washing the house I called the tile contractor who installed the outdoor tile. He came by and looked at the tile around the entire house. He tested the seal and advised me that the tile did not need to be resealed at all. He said the only tile that needed to be sealed was the tile that Ricky put acid on. He said he would seal that tile and if I wanted him to, would seal the remainder of the tile for $200. He suggested I wait another year or so to do the rest of the tile since it really was not necessary. In addition, when Ricky power-washed the tile, the grout filling in the stone came up, so I have to have it re-grouted too. This was a very expensive lesson for me.

I called his team for an estimate. Very reasonable. Relatively simple pressure washing job for outdoor patio, front porch, etc. on a large home. This was "deferred maintenance" and therefore had a couple years of dust/dirt build-up. They really did a thorough job, and added window cleaning on our 5000 sq. foot home. I was very impressed-period.

The pressure washing that he did was horrible. It took him 20 minutes to pressure wash, and we have a huge lanai. He left lots of dirt behind. There are a lot of areas that were not pressure washed well. He did a very sloppy job. He was very unprofessional. After he left, my husband spent two hours pressure washing the lanai. He did such a crappy job. When he sealed it, he sealed in dirt into the paver. It was horrible. His price was good, but his price was not worth anything. He did a horrible job. It was a waste of money.

I came across Rick's pressure washing on Angie's List after another power washing contractor in the area skipped an open appointment we had set, which left me quite angry and knowing I wouldn't be using him subsequently. Rick offered to come the next day, which I accepted, and was on time for the appointment, even calling en route to let me know he would arrive shortly. Rick did a great job power washing my driveway, sidewalks and drainage gutter. The bonus was that he persuaded my neighbor, who quite frankly was more in need of a power washing job than I was, to have the same servicing. If that wasn't enough, my neighbor then opted to have his entire house power washed. The difference in our fresh concrete and my neighbor's clean house was very striking and well worth the combined $350.00 for all our services, coupled with Rick putting in nearly 2 1/2 hours of effort to get those results. All in all, it was a win for Rick getting a couple of contracts, a double win for me for getting my place cleaned and not having to look at my neighbors dirty house and driveway any longer, and a win for my neighbor who probably didn't realize how dirty his place was until Rick was finished cleaning it!

It went very well. The job was performed per agreement in a timely manner and I was pleased with results.

Rick came by on a Friday, going door to door to drum up business. Since I needed the work done anyway, I figured I'd give him a chance. We agreed on a price, and he gave me a start time of 10am Saturday morning, possibly earlier. I received a phone call at approximately 11am to let me know they were on the way. Rick arrived, and had to run and pick up some supplies, so the work did not actually start until noon. The pool cage took longer than I think he and his crew anticipated, but they stuck to it, and it looks great, as does the rest of the house.

They are fantastic. We have been using Rick for years. He does excellent work and is a great person. He is very consistent, thorough and prompt. His pricing is reasonable.

I was in a bind trying to get pressure washing done before the holidays and Ricky was able to come to my home the day after I called. He and Josh were friendly, professional and did a great job. They also went above and beyond by re-cleaning some windows I had recently had cleaned when the pressure washing fluid left a residue. I am having them come back next week to seal pavers on the pool deck. I appreciate their hard work and efforts to ensure my satisfaction and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for these types of services.

It went fine, although weather is always a factor when sealing pavers, and the job completion had to be postponed a couple of times. But he came and finished the job on a weekend on his own initiative. We couldn't have been happier with his work.

Rick came to my door soliciting business. I actually was needing my place pressure washed and had my daughters b-day celebration the next day. I asked if he could complete it by 10 am the next morning to allow it time to dry. He confirmed and was to show up to start work the next day at 8am. He was very good at explaining what would be done and walked around the house to identify specific concerns. He was polite and professional. The next day they showed up a little before 9am so it made completing the task tight and surfaces were still wet when I had to set up for the party (so I dirtied the freshly sprayed deck in the back some). Other than that, it went very well. We settled on the agreed price. The place still looks great a few months latter. I would use again.
