Description of Work: Our water heater broke and began leaking through the ceiling fixture. The water heaters in my house are located in the attic and are very difficult to reach due to the small opening in the ceiling. The technician arrived promptly at night and shut off the heater to stop the leaking. I had to pay him for that service call which took about an hour and cost over $200. The next day the plumbers arrived promptly and began working on removing and replacing that water heater plus removing 2 other older water heaters that were left there by other plumbers. It did take them about 7 hours to finish the work because space is tight in the attic. They discussed what the cost would be for this removal ($1,900) and were not negotiable. This was on top of the service call I had paid for th evening before. I felt that I had no choice at this point because we were leaving to go out of town the next morning. I have since heard that the scrap metal from the old water heaters are worth at least a few hundred. I think they should have been more negotiable on the price or waived the initial service call fee in light of that. Of course I am not an expert in plumbing costs so I am not sure that I was overcharged but based on popular opinion (friends/famiy) I definitely was.

Description of Work: We decided to rip out our bathroom sink and vanity to do a remodel of the bathroom. What started as an easy "Do it yourself" job became a sink drain leak that we coullnd not fix. The first time Red Cap came out they did not fix the problem correctly. I called on Saturday and was able to get service that day with Jack Dessler coming out. He was EXELLENT. You can really tell he in interested in doing quality work not just quick fixes. It is completely understandable that they did not get it right the first time and I am happy they stuck by their word as a company and fixed the problem asap on a Saturday with the second visit. Nobody's perfect and it says a lot for a company to own up to mistakes and address problems as best they can. I am happy to use Red Cap again and share them with my friends.

Description of Work: They refused over the phone to give any standard hourly rates claiming BBB suggested they not. Since I know that is false, I got another plumber who did a great job-Case Plumbing.

Description of Work: We had a plugged up shower drain. I called right away at 8 AM and they had someone out by 9:30 to fix. The technician was very professional and courteous. Would definitely recommend.

Description of Work: On 02/18/2012, I tried to call them like 6 times, they were putting me on hold then busy. Horrible responses on the phone! This company is hard to get ahold of. I was trying to get in touch with them for an appointment with my water pipe issue.

Description of Work: The gentleman was good about calling before arrival. He cleaned up afterward well. I had already purchased items I thought were needed but did not really want that type installed. He found the necessary Delta matching fixtures in his truck that worked perfectly so i can return mine, saving me about $80. He also recaulked so neatly around the fixtures. I did use an Angie's List coupon too saving an additional $30.

Description of Work: Matt arrived head of scheduled time. Provided an estimate after walkthru with me and explained to me what each project and cost entailed. He worked continuously for 6-7 hours until everything was done. He then walked through everything with me. He searched for ways to reduce the bill. One item was to replace the faucets in one of the bathtubs which dated back to the 1960s. Other plumbers said that it was impossible and that the wall had to be removed so that all plumbing could be replaced. That would have cost me a lot of money just for that one item (out of eight that were performed). Matt just replaced the faucets.

Description of Work: I wasn't sure if it was the pipe or faucet that was leaking, creating quite a problem under the sink. Red Cap sent a gentleman who was prompt, courteous and efficient. He told me it was the fault of the faucet manufacturer and what I should do. I appreciate the fact that he was honest and did not try to rip me off doing work that was covered by a warranty, of which I was unaware. Thank you Red Cap. You are my definite GO TO PLUMBER.

Description of Work: Had a slow draining bathroom sink. Called Red Cap they set up an appointment on the spot. They came exactly as they stated . I got an estimate and I agreed to the work. It took about fifteen minutes to open the drain and it runs better than it ever did. They were very professional. I also bought from them a product to help keep the drain working on a monthly usage. They might be a little pricey but it all depends on how one thinks of quality and what it is worth. Me I would and will use them again.

Description of Work: Eddie came out on Sat. night around 7 to unclog a toilet which was leaking onto the ground outside the bathroom (1 only) window and could not get it. He told us he would be back between 8-9 the next morning and didn't even call until 9:30 to tell us he had an emergency and would be coming from Oldsmar (a 30 minute drive). He proceeded to break a hole in the sewer line coming from my home and snaking out the line approx. 70 ft. into the city line. He did not repair the hole he made so now I am calling other plumbers for estimates in getting repairs because he claims the whole line needs to be repaired. And he wanted $1850.00 on top of the $185.00 he already charged me to make a new hole in my sewer line.

Description of Work: My hotwater heater was leaking and was very old I called Red Cap and they responded with thirty minutes and they're tech Eddy came out and install a new hotwater heater within an hour, Thank you Eddy!!

Description of Work: Clear plugged kitchen drain with snake. Was on time and cleared the drain all the way to the main drain, just in case that the first blockage was not it.

Description of Work: Tore out stall shower, jack-hammered through concrete foundation, fixed broken drain line, replaced sixty foot long drain line with new line and sump pump.

Description of Work: Had water main break and sink faucet nut tightened. Fine work on time, professional, etc. Don't know about price; we didn't have time to shop around. Seemed a little high but it is probably in line.

Description of Work: We had a clogged drain in the bathroom and the water (filthy) would go from the bathtub to the toilet and back and forth...Red Cap Plumbing was ready to be at my home within ten (10) minutes of my calling, but I had to be at the hospital for a procedure and was leaving just at that moment. As soon as I got home and called they had the plumber here. He was very polite and tried to keep the "mess" at a minimum. He explained what he was doing as he worked because I asked and was not snotty about his answers. I was very pleased with the price because just 3 months ago I had ANOTHER PLUMBING COMPANY out for a kitchen clog and they charged me $400. That's another story, but do be careful and check Angie's List before you do anything!
