Red Cap Plumbing and Air truly exceeded my expectations. We had been without hot water for 5 days and they sent Brent to the rescue. We called a competitors and they charge me $155 to tell me what I already knew, then wanted to charge me another $155+ to install the part. My coworker suggested I contact Red Cap. After speaking with Red Cap and explaining our concern, they offered to waive the $29 fee to troubleshoot the problem. Brent from Red Cap, fully diagnosed the problem and realized that there was another hidden issue as soot built up on the burner preventing the pilot light from staying on and properly heating the water. I asked Brent if they matched competitor pricing. He immediately contacted his manager and received approval to match the price. What really impressed me was that Brent was very thorough and was able to properly explain the problem and recommend an appropriate solution.

They did a good job and they were fair on the price. I keep going back to them because of the quality of work, ability to be on time and they do what they say they're going to do.

I don't really know if price was fair, but I paid it. Their quality was good. Their responsiveness was very good. We use them over and over because they are very good. I would use them again.

I would use them again in an emergency.

An old, corroded pipe outside the house broke on a Saturday afternoon, after being accidentally tapped by a ladder. Red Cap sent service tech James, and he was very prompt, courteous and quickly repaired the problem.

I wanted a color and they said that the color was expensive. They told me that they could get it for me, they showed me the price, and they said "this one does the same thing, but it is cheaper". So, they gave me options and I went with it. I am very happy with my new product. I'm thrilled. I'm from the Islands and I haven't dealt with pricing for over 20 years because I haven't ever had to pay for a repair. So, for me, with a 20 year gap, it all seems very expensive. I had another job done and they left a tub. Red Cap did not have to, but they said, "if that's garbage, we'll take it". So they even cleaned up someone else's mess. They're here within hours. Sometimes even less than an hour. I use them all the time.

Their responsiveness was unbelievable. Within minutes they were out.

We have a service contract with them. They've been excellent. We have used them for several years. Very competitive, otherwise we wouldn't have chosen the contract. It took about an hour and a half, only 1 worker. Very clean, they clean up after themselves. Even their own clothing was very clean which is impressive. They do a good job, they are on time, they actually call us when we're due for service. They are honest and they don't try to oversell.

It took the tech 35 minutes to replace the pipe. The charge was $290!! I knew they were expensive but we had a $25 coupon so figured it to be about $150 max. We were shocked at the charge. The tech offered 10% off which is $29 vs. the $25 coupon. But the total bill was still ridiculous. After the tech left my husband noticed that the pipe he installed was leaking. He called the tech who came back about 30 minutes later and sealed the pipe. It is not the tech's fault but this company charges WAY too much for easy jobs. Will not use them again.

John was the tech and he snaked the line from the roof to get it draining again.

They wanted $544.00 to extend a copper pipe a few inches and sweat on a copper elbow. (about $5.00 in parts and a 20 min job for a skilled plumber. They wanted $838.00 to do both sides, and install a "laundry box" ($35.00 at home depot) instead of the two .85 cent elbows. Absolute Robbery. Other plumbers would have done the work for $85.00/hour plus parts, but because Red Cap charges by the job, not by the hour, they have super gigantic rip-off prices. Needless to say, I sent them packing. I purchased everything I needed to do the job myself at home depot for $100.00 which included all the tools I will need which I will now be able to use for future plumbing repairs.

Repair went as expected. Guy was polite and engaging. Biggest problem is that I can't trust their seemingly arbitrary price quotes. Initial quote was 283 until I found the receipt of 179 for the same job they did two years ago. The guy immediately said he can match the price without even checking or thinking. Plus they like to oversell you products and services you don't need. Very hard for me to trust them.

They are overpriced and the recommendations they made were invalid. I don?t feel it was a good value. I signed up for a maintenance program which I wanted to end but they automatically renewed me and it took 10 months to get a refund. I did no have a good experience with them.

I don’t remember the cost, but it wasn’t that bad, up to $100 at the most. I think the price was reasonably. Quality was good, I remember that I didn’t have any complaints. They came as promised. Work was well done and basically, they did what they said they were going to do. They take care when they come in, they put little socks on their boots, so they don’t mess up your floors. They clean up after themselves, which is more than I can say for other companies. I would say overall, I would recommend them, they do a good job.

They have started air conditioning work. I have used them for plumbing a lot. He checked both of them and said one of them needed a new part, of course. I haven't made up my mind about that yet because they're having the same guy that does the plumbing do the air conditioning. I've used them many times. I used them before I moved here even, about 1 years ago because I called them back when I lived in another house.

The drainage was so bad here. They had to put down a second line later because the plumbing was not done properly here. It had a french drain they call it for the laundry room which means they ran the water underneath the soil outside. They did not put it into the sewer system and that was against the law in this area. I got estimates from other companies and their price is best.

There was an oak tree in the way and it was quite a job. They also have had to do the same thing at this house, it's an older house. Whatever they used back many years ago, the orange burg or whatever has rotted, that's why they're having to replace all these with PVC. My neighbors had to have it too. I've use them since. They were a small company but they became a big one as they've grown over the years. The onnly minus I could give them is they never biold my yard up where they dug the trench and it dips there. It needed more dirt on it. I still use them.

After finding a slab leak and getting multiple estimates for both a repair and a re-pipe, we decided to do a re-pipe and chose Red Cap Plumbing. Red Cap's cost estimate was in the middle, and they use a newer/better pipe system than the others called Pex (vs. CPVC) and offer a 20 year warranty on the product. At 3:00 in the afternoon, they were able to schedule the job to begin the next morning -- and worked in spite of Tropical Storm/Hurricane Hermine, finishing at 2:30 the following day. We also had them replace our shower valves, fix our water line where it enters the house and install a new water heater. What impressed me the most was the size of the crew and the presence of a supervisor who checked on the job both days. That, combined with a truly nice group of men who actually seemed to be enjoying themselves made this a very positive experience! While they were here, they noticed a couple of pieces of our soffit had blown loose from the storm and they just went right ahead and fixed it for us! Great group of guys -- Dave, Chris, Eddie, Hunter, Thomas....I wish I could remember them all! Based on this experience, we would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

We had countertops installed on a Saturday and needed the new faucet connected. We called Red Cap because they are in the neighborhood and they said they could come out on Monday. We did not get a quote prior to them coming out but based on our research we assumed it would cost about $300 (2 hours of work and only a couple of feet of PVC as we provided the faucet). We were shocked to find they charged more than twice that after a "discount" because we had recently used them on a large plumbing issue. We needed the hook-up so agreed to proceed. The plumber did a good job but I feel after using Red Cap twice that their fees are really excessive.

Pure and simple, they lie to get your business. I had an emergency service done late Tuesday night, was told that $80 service would go against the cost to do the repairs the next day if I used them. I was advised by a restoration company to get a detailed invoice for insurance purposes that details how much it actually cost to repair the leak, excluding cost to access the repair and leak detection. The next day they came, did not take the $80 off and told me they didnt do that but would offer me a service plan. I then told the plumber Jake that I needed a detailed invoice and he said "It will have to come from the office, they will give you a printed out detailed invoice." That evening they did the repair I again brought up the detailed invoice and both plumbers made a comment about how I should definitely get that because only about $200 of my $840 bill was the cost to repair the pipe. I called the next day since I had concerns with the job performed and spoke to a Supervisor and reiterated that I needed the detailed invoice. He said he would need to get with Jake to get the details but would be able to send it over. I waited another day and called the customer service line. They took all my information and promised to call back. I waited 4 days and decided to call them back and now they are trying to say they do not detail invoices but just charge a flat fee. So to sum it up, they lied about $80 being applied against my balance and then lied about being able to provide a detailed invoice.

RIP-OFF! They wanted $11k to repipe a house with just 1 bathroom and under 1,000 square feet and tried to upsell a water softner that I don't even have space for. INSANE! When I asked for an itemized estimate, they were not very helpful. Also, I would very wary of those anonymous 'A' ratings with absolutley no details. They are probably fake and are just trying to push their overall rating.

It is wonderful. They completed the whole project in less than 3 days and checked in with us during the process.
