They’ve been okay. They were really quite good when my hot water heater just died. They were just extremely awesome. The pricing is high on certain things. They immediately solved the problem and got a new water heater at a very reasonable price. The young man couldn’t have been any more gracious, gentleman and professional. The charges were reasonable for the service they did.

The price was very high, they charged me $99 for half an hour of labor. He was kept trying to sell me things. I told him that I saw a discount, and he said it was already discounted. I called the manager, and he didn't act like he cared.

The staff member giving the estimate did an excellent job representing his company professionally. My only problem was his vision and therefore the cost to perform that job. Way beyond our means.

They were good. He fixed the water flow problem and advised me on my toilet

I am writing to commend James Woodson, quality control inspector for Red Cap Plumbing for a superlative service call. . Quality control is a new service Red Cap provides. I had a brand new disposal installed which has never worked. The plumber who installed it told me I had to have an electrican come to repair wiring. An electrican from Bolt Electric came & told me that there was nothing wrong with the wiring. He said the disposal was defedtive. He was mistaken! When Mr. Woodson came to my home, I told him what the "electrician" said. Mr. Woodson checked the power output of the outlet for the disposal with a meter that indicated the common line (hot line) should put out 123.9 but was only putting out 21.9, far below the power needed to run the disposal. He checked the disposal & discovered that it worked properly. Mr. Woodson went over and above the call of duty by connecting wiring to another outlet temporarily until I can get a competent electrician to rewire. In the meantime the disposal works just fine. He did so at no additional charge. Thankyou, James Woodson, for your professionalism, courtesy & for going over & above the call of duty to get my disposal to work. The outstanding service you provided was excellent. You personified that Red Cap Plumbing stands behind their work. in the past, I have recommended Red Cap to a neighbor. Junior & Reese provided excellent service. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend Red Cap to others in the future especially if James Woodson is on the job.

Initially, Red Cap told me that they would be at my house between 8 am and 12pm on Saturday Sept. 14 2013. The plumber did not show up until 7PM that evening. When I made the appointment two weeks prior Red Cap told me that I was first on the list. However they when Saturday came I was notified that emergencies were scheduled first and I was going to be bumped. I was not told of this procedure when I made the appointment. Once the plumber (Scott) came he was very courtious and clean. The job was completed properly and within an hour.

The guy that came out Anthony was exceptional. He was a perfect gentleman and great at what he did and analyzed everything. I would highly recommend them. They were professionals all the way through.

They got the wrong part the first time, so they had to leave and come back 2x. It took a long time. The price seemed fair to high.

Plumber was very polite. Pricing was "corporate" and he could not discount for multiple jobs. Since we priced disposals at Home Depot we were a little surprised by the markup but overall we were very satisfied.

John worked quickly with help from the office bringing him parts. He did a great job cleaning up before leaving

It was great. They came out for what I thought was a pipe leak but it turns out that it just needed to be tightened so they came and tightened it and they only charged me the service call fee which was $29.95. They also came out to do the work in late June. It was good.

My experience with them was excellent. They have some service plan where you become one of their priority customers. They are really quick to come out and they are always really nice and courteous and they get the job done well and quickly.

The guy was trying to charge me more. Then he was trying to sell me a new product. I told him that I didn’t need it. I told him that they had a special running and that is why I called them. In the end I ended up just getting the special. I didn’t like the fact that after they got here, they tried to sell me much more stuff after advertising their special. He was trying to sell me a new kitchen sink or a faucet or something. Once I stuck to what I had called them for, they did the work and it worked fine. I have no problems ever since. He was trying to tell me that there was more of a problem than there was and this and that. Here it is August of 2013 and I have had no problems with the sink since then. I still have everything. The price was reasonable for what they said they were going to do for the special. I didn’t appreciate them to sell me something that I didn’t need. It was unprofessional by them to do that.

All fixtures in our master bath became backed-up on Friday evening. We called Red Cap after reading the reviews on Angie's List. The next morning, Willie showed up and after showing him the problem and explaining other issues we were having in the other bathrooms, he quickly surmised that our line out to the sewer was clogged. He got to work and fixed the problem. We really appreciated his professionalism and thoroughness. He also took the time to explain in detail what he was going to do and why. We learned a lot about pluming in the process! In addition to Willie, everyone we spoke with at Red Cap was a pleasure. They even called to follow-up with us after the job was completed. Red Cap is our new go-to plumber.

I called on a Friday to make an appointment for Monday since my problem was not an emergency. I explained to the person on the phone what my problem was. He informed me that there would be a $30 service call that would be waived if any work was performed. They gave me a window of noon to 4pm. At 3:30pm I got a call stating the tech was on his way. At 4:30pm I called back to ask if the tech was coming and where he was coming from. All they could answer is that he was on his way. He arrived at 5pm and told me it would cost $129 to diagnose the problem. WHAT?!?! No one informed me that this would be the case. He said he could call his manager and see if he could work something out. I told him no thank you, I would pay the service charge and he could be on his way. He proceeded to go outside to make a phone call, come back in, look under the sink and tell me he could quote out some options. At that point I felt I was completely getting railroaded and could not trust a thing this guy was saying. I was seriously displeased with the service starting with the person who scheduled the appointment, the person who called to say the tech was on his way as well as the tech himself. To sum it up I waited around my house for an hour and a half after my allotted window to pay a guy $30 to do absolutely nothing. I will never use this company again.

Scheduled service for the afternoon of the day I called and arrived promptly as scheduled. James, our assigned plumber, determined the problem, went to the supply house since the part needed was unusual, obtained the part, returned quickly and completed the repair. We have used Red Cap for many years and have always found their service to be excellent.

They're good and very professional.. The experience was excellent. They basically explained all the options with us and we're very happy with that. They got it all done in one day.

It went great. I called and set up an appointment. They called about an hour before they came. The plumber explained the problem and fixed it.

They come out and are very professional. They are reasonably priced. There is no problem with answering the questions and they are great with that.

It went very well. Their price seemed reasonable to me, but again I don't know much about it. I am a physician. I wasn't hear to deal with them that much, it was actually my older son. I just paid the bill and everything works. They were out here whey they said they would be. They were really nice. That' all I can tell you, that's all the details I have.

They were excellent! They were extremely clean, and they were prompt. They did what they said they were going to do. They left the house spotless, and they were polite and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions, and they were just great!

I have a rental property and when the renters noticed water on the ceiling around the location of the shower on the second floor. I called Red Cap to come out and see what the issue was. First I was told they would have to cut into the ceiling, and then after they looked at the shower the plumber said it was just the attachment that came out of the wall to the shower head, he said it was spraying water behind the wall. The total price to come out and look at the shower and re-attach the shower head $472.00. While I think this is a bit high, but I didn't want additional damage so I approved the work. The rest of the story, the issue the plumber found and ?fixed? was not the primary issue or even an issue however to be fair I am not sure since I wasn?t there. The day after the shower head was reattached so it didn?t spray behind the wall the renter noticed more water on the ceiling. When I called the plumber, he said it just needed to drain. I was not satisfied with this answer so I had Red hat come back out the next day. The following day the plumber came back and said the shower floor had to be pulled up and a new shower pan put in. The first quote for this work was $1,800 since ?the brother of the red hat plumbers had a tile company?. While I wasn?t thrilled on the quote I was considering it. However, after about an hour I get a call back saying the quote was only for the tile work and the shower pan will be an additional $1,800 so the total would be around $4,000 (including the original $472). From my understanding of the conversation this would be to just pull out the floor put in a new shower pan and replace the tile. I found another plumber to pull out the entire shower, replace all the plumbing, tile, shower pan, and wall board (the builder used drywall instead of greenboard) for half the price. The pro?s: Red hat plumber was on time. When I called to complain about the bad diagnostic, I was refunded ½ the diagnostic fee. The Con?s: very high price and not a great job on figuring out where the leak was coming from.
