Red Cap Plumbing Air and Electrical

We had a leak in the bathtub faucet. It was bad enough we had to turn off the water to the house. Red Cap responded the next morning and were on time. He provided an estimate up front as soon as he identified the problem and fixed it quickly.

The two representatives always wore red shoe covers in home, were very polite, worked efficiently, left areas worked on clean, tested their work afterwards. I am very satisfied.

I was very satisfied, they worked quickly and all is well. They also constntly kept me abreat of what was going on since it dealt with a rental unit and I was not on location.

The plumber was punctual and the receptionist that I spoke to on the phone was so helpful! She made sure that the plumber would be arriving in a two hour window and then the plumber called when he was about 30 minutes away. Even though the water heater was replaced in our garage when the plumber noticed we did not wear shoes in the home he asked if I wanted him to put on his shoe covers (I have friends that come into my home and aren't even that observant). Professional, polite, and quick!

The work was great and I have no complaints. He was on time and I received a phone call from Red Cap letting me know that he was on his way. He explained everything in a way that I understood and I was totally satisfied.

Mike (from Detroit) the plumber came out and was great. He was very thorough and explained everything. He found the issues and fixed them. He was very professional and pleasant and we were pleased with his level of customer service. We would highly recommend this company.

Day after initial repair had another issue not related to previous repair....appointment made for next day Sun 8-12 arrival time....at 1 I called; got answering svc....another call at 2 and at 3 yielded same response "I don't know why dispatch isn't responding...."...loads of apologies, but no action....as we had no water in the house had to find another avenue....Mon afternoon got a call "do you still need us?...." I was not pleasant in my response.....Tues mid morning another call "...see you called....still need assistance?...."...again loads of apologies, but very disappointed in a business concern so highly recommended on Angie's List.....may be an exception, but am not pleased with outcome and lack of any response....

first contact was beyond abilities of tech....rescheduled for more detailed repair....2nd contact was right on time.....kept in contact by phone for timing.....repairs completed per agreement

I have old faucets in my bath, tub faucet was dripping. The plumber, Reese was very straightforward as to what we could do for a quick fix today and whether it would be better to replace. After taking the time fix the best he could (resulting in a very slow drip remaining), he advised they would deduct the cost today from the replacement work. Even better, they could accomodate my busy schedule for the one day this week I am available. All was done with a superb professionalism and friendly attitude. I called at 6:00 or 7:00 in the morning and they were out by 9:00 and had my new water heater installed by noon. They did an excellent job and the immediate response was fantastic. They also gave me a $29.00 discount for being an Angie's List member.

Due to another water leak in the wall between the toilet and the bedroom, all new plumbing was installed throughout the home. All Red Cap employees, including the initial service/repairman and the individuals who re-plumbed the home, were very professional and showed concern to my personal space as well as our belongings.

The pricing was not clear and when I asked for a breakdown they were not able to provide even though the numbers did not make sense.

I had to have them out a couple of times since the first time the drains were not cleaned out right the first time. I figured the way they cleaned it the first time was not the best way to approach the problem. When they came out the second time, they cleaned them again from another angle. The technician did give me some tips on how to handle the situation in the future. But he also left equipment at my home and has yet to pick it up.

My boss called on a Friday morning to schedule a plumber to come to our office. He requested Friday afternoon, anytime Saturday, or first thing Monday morning. He was told that a plumber would be at the office Monday at 8 a.m. No one showed up at 8 a.m.. At 9:20 a.m., we received a phone call - maybe from the technician himself? - saying he'd be here in an hour. At 9:30 a.m. we received a call from someone else saying that the service person would be here in an hour. At 11:00 a.m we scheduled with another plumber, and we called Red Cap and told them to cancel our appointment. The person we spoke with said that we had a window of 8-12, not an 8 a.m. appointment. Maybe that's what she saw on her schedule, but that's not what we were told when we made the appointment.

Well, when the plumber had finished checking out the faucet that I thought had air in it because of it making noise and checking the toilet we sat down to go over prices. To my amazement the first thing he suggested was installing a $45,000 water softner to get rid of hard water that he said was the root of all my plumbing evils. Then to replace the toilet he told me it would be about $400. I almost fainted. To fix a running toilet. Then he finally got down to the $250 to repair it. He told me the price was all about quality and that things you buy from big box stores and not the same quality as buying from a plumber When all was said and done he fixed the toilet in about 30 minutes. They also have a plan that you pay by the month and when you need service you get it at a reduced rate. He also tried to sell me that. I certainly hope I don't have many more plumbing problems. The service man was a very polite and knowledgeable person. He also seemed to be very able to do the task at hand. I don't know if this selling of the water softner or pay by the month plan is unique to this particular plumbing company but I was totally surprised.

They were very good. They were here on time and got it done. They were very clean and everything was good. Their price, service and quality were good. I was very satisfied with them.

All in all, everything went well. It did take more time than expected due to issues we discovered once the walls were opened. RedCap worked with me, and did everything needed to make sure I was happy with their performance. This project took nearly a month in all, mostly due to a back order on the specific Vanity we wanted. RedCap was willing to work with me, delays and all, to achieve the results I wanted for my Condo.

It was fine. The work on the faucet was pretty quick. The review of the possible leak was inconclusive. Upon inquiry of additional services, the costs seamed a bit steep.

Ed assisted with cutting of some of the piping. He was very professional and responsive. Price seemed excessive for material, labor and time . Material was plastic.

I did most of the digging myself but they did some also. They diagnosed the problem and found out why I was having clogged drains. They fixed the issue. They did good job and they were honest with me. Other companies quoted me and were way to expensive.

The plumber was prompt and professional. Even stayed late to fix the sink after realizing that he didn't have the parts on his truck, he went to home depot to get the right parts and came back to complete the repair.
