Ramos Marble & Granite Inc.

We used Ramos because of their great reputation and because our builder frequently uses them. Our experience with them has not been a good one unfortunately. They repeatedly have not met deadlines they agreed to. Excuses for this have been "we didn't cut it right", "its not ready today, we forgot to call and tell you", "it was supposed to be ready today and we don't know why it's not, we'll call you back later and let you know what we find out". Some days when they are supposed to be here they don't show up and we have to call them to ask them where they are and when they'll be here to do their job. We have had to reschedule other subcontractors that were dependent on the completion of Ramos work to do their work. This has caused a lot of inefficiency, frustration and weeks and weeks of delays. We recently learned that we will have to have the entire island countertop removed and recut because it was installed incorrectly. Their staff tried to "doctor" the problems in it for weeks, which did not work. Ramos has a reputation for very high quality work and their premium prices reflect that. With that, they should expect their customers to have high expectations. Unfortunately, our expectations have not been met.

Their not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. They arent looking to gauge you so you get quality work at a resonable price. Yes they did clean up after themselves.

After calling plumber to disconnect plumbing the specialists from Ramos came and did an outstanding job of reconnecting sink to granite.

They were very professional, from the initial contact with Gail, who helped me locate the perfect slab to the installers who did an excellent job. I recommend them highly.

I use granite fabricators and installers a lot in my business as an interior designer. The GC on a recent project picked Ramos and I was pretty disappointed in the end. The attention to detail and follow through on how something is supposed to be done is just not there. Ramos installed a kitchen and four bathrooms. I had three issues w/ them and while the salesperson (a tall blonde woman) was quite nice, the owner was a 'piece of work'. 1) all the corners were given a different radius than my client and I specificed. 2) the bathtub top was cut in four pieces (fine) but I repeatedly confirmed that all the pieces would be cut in the same direction so you wouldn't notice the four pieces. Upon installation, there were the four pieces - two cut in one direction adn two in another. This saved the company on material. 3) my client and I went and laid out the kitchen counter tops on the slabs of granite and when they were installed the slabs had been cut at a different point than where we had specified. The seam is now running down the middle of my client's kitchen and the owner was quite defensive about making that decision even after I explained to him that it had been our decision as to where the seam should be. These are not small things when you consider that granite comes out of the earth after potentially millions of years and costs thousands of dollars for a home owner and my client has to live w/ these mistakes and 'decisions' for the next twenty years. Just my two cents as a designer.

The sales representative, Christine, was very professional, courteous, and customer friendly. She was also very helpful in product selection. The installers were punctual, professional and took great care to ensure that they kept the work area clean and tidy. The overall project was outstanding, and I would definitely hire this company again for future home improvement projects.

The countertops were delivered when promised. The installers cut the holes for the plumbing on site to insure that the vessel sinks and plumbing would be in the correct position. The remnant had a possible microfissure in one area, which the company reinforced. There were some minor cosmetic dings to the walls during the installation, but these were not difficult to repair. A chip developed on the edge of the counter a few weeks after the install. Someone from Ramos came out and filled in the defect perfectly. We were very pleased with the help we received from the sales staff, and the work performed.

After starting this inquiry last year I heard nothing for several months. Finally I was contacted and asked to send some pictures of the work that needed to be repaired. I sent the pictures months ago and I've yet to hear anything again. Under no circumstances would I recommend this company.

Everyone who I worked with was very pleasant and professional. Christina who helped me pick out the granite top was very helpful and kind. I had some trouble at first getting an appointment to have the initial template for the countertops completed but once we set the time they were committed to it and the technician arrived on time as promised. The technician also made sure to ask about every particular detail about the cut of the granite to make sure it was made exactly how I wanted it. The actual countertops will be installed in 7-10 days but I'm confident that the job will come out great. I would recommended them to friends and family.

They came as a high recommendation from another business that I had done business with. I had been talking to them since May, which was part of the unresponsive parts of it. The lady that I was dealing with there were some issue there of some sort. She didn't do a very good job of returning calls and answering questions. The granite is super. The guys who came out and did all the measurements plus the guys that installed it did a great job. I took granite off and changed it out with some new cabinets to another granite. I had a piece of the old granite that I took to them that I asked them to cut and put an edge on. They had that piece of granite for like three weeks and the day they were supposed to be coming out to install the new granite they called me and asked what did the granite look like, who did I give the granite to, and when did I bring it to them. I was like, "What?" They didn't finish out the edge on it quite the way I wanted it done even though two different people had been told that I had left the granite with. I wasn't very happy with that part.

I contacted Ramos Marble & Granite to repair a 10 year old counter top in my kitchen. I called once, left a message with a female employee and waited. Over a week later I called again ... and again left a message with an employee. As of this time I have not had ANY response from Ramos Marble & Granite. I would have given them an "F" rating .... but did not because the employees I spoke with were very pleasant and professional while speaking to me. They unfortunately don't return messages. At this point, even if they offered to complete the repairs for free, I would not use them. If I am having this much trouble when I'm trying to give them business ... I fear the possibility of any future response should there be any problems.

Ramos Marble & Granite were wonderful about doing this small job for us. The cut the granite table top in half exactly as requested (even smoothed out all edges), charged a reasonable price and delivered the two console tables to us for no extra charge. Everyone I dealt with there was helpful and responded quickly to any questions. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

Buying stone is a wonderful and stressful experience. So many to choose from -- all beautiful. Lee at Ramos was very easy to work with and responsive. We priced the marble and granite at different places and he offered a great price. His installers were great. My kitchen is not easy and they coped with it. There was a centering problem with the gas cooktop requiring a second visit. Fortunately, it was resolved quickly with with a second in-place cut. No problems now. I like the choices we made in materials and looked around enough to think Ramos gave us a very good deal.

We decided to change out our old kitchen granite, and went to Ramos. We had used them in the past, and had been very pleased with the experience. First we went to their office and told them what we wanted to do. We gave them a rough drawing of the countertops, which indicated the approximate area to be covered, and they gave us a tentative cost estimate, based on the level of granite we expected to use. We also discussed a tentative installation schedule. Ramos offers a wide selection of choices, but we didn't see exactly what we wanted, so they recommended that we go to their granite supplier's warehouse, where it is possible to see and choose specific slabs. That was a very useful thing to do. Granite slabs vary, even those of the same pattern, and in the warehouse you can you see and compare specific slabs a large scale, and picture them in your own kitchen. By choosing specific slabs you can minimize or avoid getting granite with markings or colors that you don't want. Also, we brought a kitchen drawer with us, so we could see how the granite would look next to the cabinet wood. Somewhere between agreeing to the tentative estimate and the actual installation, we suddenly realized that we had forgotten to include the kitchen window sills in the order. When we called Ramos and told them, they were very nice and agreed to include window sills in the order at the original price. Before the installation, someone from Ramos came to the house to measure the area for granite, and prepare a template. We didn't have a plumber, so they gave us some names, and we contacted one to handle our plumbing. They were excellent. The actual installation went very well. The installers were careful, neat, and conscientious and we are delighted with the result. Ramos was a pleasure to deal with in every way.

Everyone was courteous and professional. All appointments were kept and everyone arrived on time. The countertops are beautiful. We are very satisfied.

They have done a great job. Their whole staff is knowledgeable, courteous, and very accommodating. I would absolutely use them again.
