The fence went in well. However, a few months after installation, one of the gates became either warped or dislocated in some way and wouldn't open or close without great effort and began to damage the hardware. We called Terry Putnam, owner, who dismissively told us that all we had to do was make some adjustments. However, we believed that the problem was more than a few adjustments, since we had first hand knowledge, we could see what was going on and he didn't. So we requested a service call. After huffing about it, he said that he might be back in So. Tampa in the next month, at which time he would swing by and fix it. After spending $5000 on a fence, we thought his time line unacceptable. He said, "sorry you feel that way, but that's when I'll do it or I won't come by at all." Our temperature rose considerably and we insisted that the warranty should cover this type of thing and that he should be prompt in responding to a service call on his product. Do NOT use Putnam Fencing!

The final results are great. I feel we received more than our contract specified. The 4 inch round by 12 foot posts ordered were really 6'' round by 12.5 foot barn poles with 4 feet in ground, 8 feet above ground. That was above what the specs called for and have really made a difference when the deer run into the fence. The workers were very courteous and worked diligently. The fencing is nearly invisible and is keeping the deer out of our yard. The company returned our calls promptly. They also install other types of fencing and I would not hesitate to use them again. Their price was in line with other companies.
