This outfit is so rude, abusive and nasty and the installer was also clearly tired and irritated, I sent the appliance back to Lowe's. There is never a reason to be rude, and their nastiness is a statement, in my mind, on the quality of the work. I bought the dishwasher, a decent model Frigidaire, and new hoses on Nov. 23. The install was finally scheduled for Dec. 8, Friday, and they called and it was clear I was being put way out, waiting almost two weeks for them to install. I had to re-schedule an MRI for the next day to accommodate them. I asked if they could please let me know the time of day, which they did the night before. I gave the scheduler directions, asked if they could like all other delivery people, please use the alley which is paved, clear, big and an easy way to deliver anything to the homes here. It worked so well for the Lowe's deliveryman who brought my range in a far larger truck. The time frame was for 3-5pm. It is never good to be the last on the list. The man who was to install arrived, he parked ACROSS THE STREET FROM MY HOUSE not even parking on my property. Before I could even finish explaining his truck would be much safer closer to my house, and would he mind parking on the alley to be closer, easier to my kitchen, he was petulant and wasn't even listening. I said well what if you drop if off then and move your truck, if it is your truck you are concerned with. No that wasn't good. Every option I laid out, that wasn't good. The fact is, it had NOT A THING to do with where parked but the fact I believe that he was just going to make this difficult, he was probably annoyed that he arrived at 4:30 pm (NOT MY FAULT) and he just was going to be difficult, period. I called the scheduler, who was abusive. I said I waited all day -- which I did -- these people have no regard for your time, your schedule, no concept of CUSTOMER SERVICE forget that. He said, "oh here we go with the I waited all day," If that isn't a shining example of no professionalism I don't know what is. That was it for me. To top it off, the fee I paid to Lowe's for this service was practically gouging. Just say no. Everything is so expensive these days, you should at least expect decent manners, a modicum of courtesy and no nasty childish behavior. No matter what you pay. I would not want people like this installing anything. Because think of this: if they are so reckless with your time, so angry they can't behave professionally or work with you -- like he'd rather bring a big dishwasher through my tiny living room -- if these people are like that, having suck reckless disregard for the customer's concerns, then what kind of installation do you think you are going to get? I called Lowe's manager and he is arranging for another installation company though I was ready to get my money back. It is frightening to let people with this kind of attitude do work on a major appliance.
Description of Work: This outfit does some of the installation for Lowe's. I bought a dishwasher there the day before Thanksgiving. They were to install the dishwasher, which included the new hoses all of which I paid for. The installation fee charged is $150, which is quite high, but I thought this is Lowe's, so I hoped there would be some assurance of quality. Do yourself a favor, don't hire this outfit, and if you purchase at Lowe's, specify another company.

Felix arrived as scheduled to install the dishwasher. He was prompt and polite. Even more importantly he really knew what he was doing. I explained that the tile floor had been replaced a few years ago and the dishwasher had not been removed. In addition, it was topped by granite so neither the tile nor the countertop had any give. My big concern was that he would be unable to remove the old unit or install the new one without damaging the tile or granite. He assessed and took some measurements, agreeing that it there wasn't any margin for error. I can say that he was nothing less than fastidious in how he worked!! He explained what he was going to do to minimize water on the floor and marks from moving the units. He not only reviewed the operations of the machine with me, but cleaned up the floor before he left. Not a single tile was chipped or cracked. Later when I ordered the range hood and wall unit, I specifically asked if I could have the same company install them. Chris arrived and to my astonishment, was prepared to install the extremely cumbersome wall unit himself! If I thought Felix was fastidious, Chris was just as awesome. He took time to eliminate a slight buzz in the hood, which I thought was just part of the unit's sound. He tweaked until there was no buzz at all beyond the fan motor. With the wall unit he had to do some construction in the frame to level and fit the new unit in, which had not be identified for him. I was the first appointment he had for the day and the extra time he took to make sure everything was as good as it could be before he left, even if it meant he was going to have a longer day than anticipated. I appreciate that he handled my job with the care that he would put into his own kitchen. Prior to leaving he reviewed all the features of the appliances and reminded me that if anything came up within the next year, to call back. I definitely am keeping the company name and number! Both these men did a FANTASTIC job!!
Description of Work: In the past few months I purchased new kitchen appliances from Lowe's. In December 2013 the dishwasher arrived and was installed. In January the range hood and combination micro/oven wall unit arrived and was installed. Lowe's selected this installer and while Lowe's customer service certainly kept me advised of the process, Chris was terrific about calling to schedule each order.

He had to take a hood down to install the convection oven. He knew exactly what to do and was done in 30 minutes. He was a very polite young man. He went out of his way to be helpful.
