PILLAR TO POST INSPECTIONS

We hired Pillar to Post to perform an inspection of a home we purchased. In the report we received, this inspector indicated that the air conditioning units (2) would last for a reasonable period of time after purchase. Both units completely failed within 72 hours of our occupying the home. Three different individuals from the firm we hired to assess the failed conditioners told us that this inspector missed obvious problems the units had at the time of the inspection. When I contacted Pillar To Post about the problem, they refused to acknowledge any responsibility for the inaccurate inspection. The cost of replacement on the units is estimated to be $10,400.

They were courteous, professional and incredibly patient with my multitude of questions! They gave me great feedback and suggestions during the inspection, and the report was provided the same day. I was very impressed. I know they must have had another inspection lined up after mine but they did not let that interfere with walking me through each of the things they found needed improvement with the home. They were absolute professionals and very sincere about their quality of work. Grade A in my book!

I was told by my real estate person that we had been accepted on an offer we made on a bank owned property. However the bank was not giving us anytime to get an inspection. I called Pillar to post on Wednesday evening and spoke with Gary, and explained our situation. He made an appointment for the next day. He was very professional and arrived even before our scheduled time. Gary and his assistant Paul did an outstanding inspection. It was very extensive. He told me that the house was good, and then he emailed me a complete report just a short time later. I would highly recommend this company if you need a home inspection. He also gives you a binder to keep your report in, along with some good information that we can use after moving in the house.

Gary Ratliff responded to my initial inquiry for a home inspection promptly. He informed me of what to expect before, after and during the inspection. His communication was excellent. His work was even better. And the WDO (wood destroying organisms) inspection he recommended was a great idea as well. I can't express enough how pleasantly surprised I was with his professionalism, and quality of work. He found a leak in an upstairs bath, and insulation problems in the attic, issues with doors, windows, etc.. All things we would have missed but would have paid dearly for later. He is very patient and took the time with myself and my husband to educate us on so many things. I watch HGN a lot and was hoping to find a home inspector who would take care of us as well as the ones on HGN. He was SUPERB! He gave us a nifty binder with all sorts of useful information and organization. He sent us the inspection summary and report a couple hours later. I would definitely do business with him again!
