They were very professional and quick. They got the job done and it seems to be pretty good. We had some problems afterwards but they tried to resolve the issues. The initial process was good. It was a good experience.

I didn’t use their services to get the work done. Their quoting process was fine. I didn’t have any problems with them. I just felt that the company I used was better. They were fine. If need be, then I would get a quote from them in the future too.

Jay Masher was wonderful to work with! I was very pleased with the results.

The prep work went smoothly, though messy. However on the morning the resurface crew was supposed to be there (first job in the morning I was told), they did not show. It was after noon before they arrived. The crew got set up and started spraying. Word of advice, the crew was very unprofessional, cursing and talking about things that would make a sailor blush. My wife, who is a telecommuter, had to mute her phone many times throughout the afternoon as their voices carried and the conversation and name calling was more than vulgar. I spoke to them about it several times to no avail. They toned it down, but only for a moment until I went inside. If you have children, send them to a neighbors or grandma's. The previous day, Jay had brought over "tile chips" and we picked out what we liked. He left "just enough" to do the job. The installer broke one as he was tapping into the wet surface. I am not sure what they would have done if I had not been there as they tried to convince me to lay them in a different pattern (even going so far as to calling me "whipped" when I insisted that my wife and I wanted a certain pattern). I called Jay and he reportedly could not get another tile out in time. He suggested setting and removing one tile in order to have a "place for it" and he would have his tile guy put a new one in later. It worked, but he put it in the wrong way (ignoring the pattern). It looks okay, but we know it is wrong. We were finally able to fill our pool and it is in good working order. I am a little disappointed in the detail work, though. I was told that the reason they undergrind the existing tile (when you are saving it) is to get a smooth transition. I expected the crew to make sure they were not covering the existing tile with the new surface material (smoothing it out from edge to edge). They failed to do so and while just under the water line, again, we know it is there. We also had a full compliment of working and complete jets before they started. Jay insisted that one of those jets had no threads and that he could not put a ball on the jet without it. It was discovered that the installers had not covered the jet well enough and the surfacing compound had covered it and the threads. It took a little work (chipping away the new surface), but it is fixed now. We also found a sludge bag (a bag they used to filter water they were pumping out) and a huge mess in our back yard. They had even removed a corner of the screen to run a hose (even though the door was not far and the hose was long enough). When they left, the screen was not put back. Our cats like to walk around the patio and could have gotten out. Overall, I would not use this company again. We like our pool, but this company was too much of a headache.

We worked with JP Bordeleau to design our pool. He came up with a beautiful plan and their price was comparable with our other quotes. JP was very patient with our questions and change requests. We went with Patio based on their word-of-mouth reputation and the fact that they said they could get the pool done in 6 weeks. They were very organized and probably would have finished on time, had our pavers not been delayed. The job was done in 8 weeks. The representatives in Patio Pool's retail store have also been very helpful.

JP, THE SALESMAN, WAS GREAT. HE ANSWERED MY QUESTIONS ABOUT VARIOUS POOL OPTIONS HONESTLY. HIS DESIGN WAS BEAUTIFUL AND TURNED OUT NICELY. CONSTRUCTION BEGAN QUICKLY, BUT WE HAD SEVERAL DELAYS WITH TILE INSTALLATION DUE TO RAIN,SCHEDULING, TILE SELECTION BEING TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE, ETC. THE TILE INSTALLER, JOHN, WAS METICULOUS AND THE TILE AND COPING ARE PERFECTLY SPACED AND GROUTED. HE WAS DEFINITELY THE BEST WORKER ON THE WHOLE JOB. THERE WERE NUMEROUS OTHER SMALL PROBLEMS - INCORRECT PLACEMENT OF ELECTRIC JUNCTION BOX, INCORRECT WIRING OF ELECTRONIC CONTROL SYSTEM TO THE HEATERS, ETC. HOWEVER, EACH TIME THERE WAS A PROBLEM, THEY WERE QUICK TO ADDRESS AND RESOLVE IT TO MY SATISFACTION. I LOST MY TEMPER A FEW TIMES AND WAS NOT ALWAYS THE NICEST CUSTOMER. A LOT OF THESE SMALL PROBLEMS COULD HAVE BEEN RESOLVED WITH BETTER COMMUNICATION, IN MY OPINION, IN LETTING CUSTOMERS KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT. ALSO, THE PROJECT TOOK ABOUT 70 DAYS TO COMPLETE.

Robert Foster denied that he was evasive when asked about the product. He said he refused to use rebar because his engineering plans call for mesh. He believes product is perfectly acceptable and widely used.
