We hired the OB Sod team to replace sod that was removed during pool construction. Jose, the Sales supervisor responded quickly and came out for estimate the next day. They were able to schedule us pretty quickly. The crew were very polite to us and our neighbors. They worked quickly and kept the work area very clean. The sod is inspected for pest or disease by workers before delivery to ensure start up success. WE were provided start up and watering instructions. We would certainly hire them again.

HORRIBLE! I decided I would use them again as I had on a previous job. They do or did good work at the time. I requested they provide, as they had before their license, insurance and info. so I could check prior to the commencement of work, I told them I was accepting their proposal and as soon as I had their liability ins policy info, workers comp if applicable. I would sign and send back the signed proposal. The three stooges as I prefer to call them INSISTED I SIGN AND RETURN THEIR PROPOSAL FIRST AND THEN THEY WOULD PROVIDE THEIR LICENSE INFO AND LIABILITY. The son in law does the quotes, the owners daughter works in the office and the big Kahuna ALL agreed that I should commit to a 10K job and once I signed they would provide me the documents. I told them I had the old proposal and the documents were provided prior without issue. Only a fool would sign a proposal for 10K without checking in advance especially since there is nothing untoward I can do with them but check if they are accurate and enforce. Everyone I discussed it with thought it stupid to think they require you sign a contract on the dotted line before checking them out because things change. If they would do it as a consumer good for them! The ownership reportedly is the same. IF THERE ARE SOME OF YOU WHO HAVE NO PROBLEM SIGNING OFF FOR 10K WITH NO DOCUMENTS, VERIFICATION, GOOD FOR YOU! We could not get past this issue so we are done! Now I have to wait until Oct Nov with someone else.

Sod layed in March 2017.Never took in multiple areas. Now affected areas are covered with weeds and bare spots despite their monthly service.Waited 6 months for repairs as they informed me it was due to fungus and had to wait. Now wants to charge another labor fee for sod repair when product never died shortly after installation..

The sod was fresh and in great shape. It was ready for me as soon as I arrived, and was loaded onto my truck.

Instead of dumping the mulch to either side of the driveway like rational logical humans, they dumped it right in the middle like a hill growing out of my driveway. Thanks for that. I called and asked if it could be dumped on the left side. You didn't even have the courtesy to call me back and apologize.

The end job is all that I was concerned about and anyone can look at my yard and tell they did an excellent job. I am 74 and get lost in details. I can only say, get to know the name of the person in charge of overall service (not the owner).

I put the sod down myself, but the sod they provided was high quality. All of it took root really easily, and is growing exactly the way that I intended... The delivery was really easy, and they always showed up exactly when they indicated they would. I hope I don't need more sod, but I would definitely purchase from them again if I ever do...

They did the job, they were timely, they followed up, they were very professional, and used a good quality product. I would definitely use them again and have already recommended them to others.

OB Sod was thoroughly professional from the very start. Their rep came out to give me an detailed estimate. He was on time and worked quickly to assess my needs, made a few suggestions, discussed two options and wrote up a proposal for the project. Once I decided to engage OB, I simply signed the contract and emailed it back. I received a call shortly afterward to schedule the job. All dates were met promptly. On Tuesday morning, a crew showed up to start cutting/removing the old lawn. They worked hard and fast. At noon, a second truck with a second crew showed up to assist. By 1 they were laying sod. By 5, the entire project was finished. And what a thoroughly beautiful job they did!! The sod was very precisely cut to follow the shape of my garden areas. It looked fantastic. I was given detailed watering instructions, a guarantee, an optional offer to sign up for OB's lawn chemical service and only then was any money requested. One of my neighbors is a very successful real estate agent. She stopped by to ask who did the work so that she could refer her customers to someone who does such great work. I couldn't be more pleased.

new sod myselfrly done. Pieces of lawn fHe was supposed to arrive at 1 PM and the crew arrived at 2 but the sod did not arrive until 4:30 PM. They were supposed to install Bahia grass but dropped off St Augustine instead. The crew did not notice the error and later the boss tried to collect for the more expensive grass. It was only when I insisted that I did not contract for St. Augustine, that they said I could keep the same grass for the originally quoted proce, even though I specifically wanted the lower maintenance type of grass. They said they would pull up all the new grass and set up another appointment to install the Bahia if I would prefer. Since I already had my evil homeowners association breathing down my neck and threatening me yet again, I decided I had better keep the installation as is. They said that they also offered a guarantee. For a fee of $49 per month they will treat and fertilize the lawn and replace it as necessary. Since this sounded like a good deal I enrilled and started paying an additional $49 per month for maintenance. The installation was poorly done. Pieces of lawn floated down the street during a heavy rain a week later. The edges were never fit down into the sidewalk. The sprinkler heads were not uncovered in at least six spots. The new lawn was "floating " on top of the existing soil and moving around in multiple spots. I continued to pay for maintenance, hoping the problems would resolve themselves with the rain and constant sprinkling. It is now October and I have yet another nasty note from the evil homeowners association that my lawn is distressed. I called O B Sod to get the promised replacement. They said they would be happy to send an estimator to give me another estimate for installation, or I could install the new sod myself. I explained that I was a 64 year old disabled widow and would be unable to install grass. O B Sod says ,y guarantee is only for sod, not installation. They would willingly deliver the needed sod to replace dead areas, but I am on my own to install it. Their guarantee says never worry about your lawn again. If is dies we will replace it for free. I think their service is poor and the guarantee is a lie.

It was a rainy day. Sod was delivered as scheduled, but the installers didn't show. They said they'd let me know if they weren't coming, but I had to call late in the afternoon to find out they weren't coming. A little irritating since I took the time off work. I also think they should have rolled the sod after it was laid, but they did tell me beforehand that they didn't do that. It was a bit sloppy, but the sod is beautiful and thriving, so I give them an A. Communication could have been better, but the cost and result are perfect.

They laid down the sod when scheduled and as requested. A bit sloppy on the end where a pile of debris from the palette drops, was blown and scattered over the new lawn & my mulched areas. I assume this debris will work into the new sod, but I have to cleanup the mulch areas. Additionally, I paid cash and didn't receive a receipt because the Hispanic worker could barely speak English. I had to call to request a receipt be mailed. Other than these minor issues, an over all good experience with OB Sod.

Two weeks before sod was laid, a worker came out and sprayed round-up on the existing sod to kill it off in preparation for the new sod installation. Workers showed up at around 9am and waited around for approx. 40 minutes until sod arrived. Asked me where to place the pallets. I guess there was a mis-communication somewhere because they were only there to deliver the sod, not do the installation. Another group showed up around 11am and they began to remove the old sod. About 45 minutes later, they knocked to tell me that their machine was broken, and were waiting for another to arrive. Around 1pm, most of the old sod is removed, but I don't see anyone around to lay and cut the new sod. I just assumed they were probably at lunch. I had originally planned to have the sprinkler guy come to check the sod placement to make sure it wasn't obstructing any sprinkler heads, but still no one was around to lay the sod. I called the home office to ask whether something happened and if the sod was going to be laid. They assured me that it was going to be put down that day. I had to tell the sprinkler guy to re-schedule the check-up for Thursday, his next available day. It was 3:30pm by the time they finally returned to till the soil and lay the sod. They finally finished around 4:45pm. I had tried to coordinate the timing of my sprinkler check and sod installation 2 weeks before but these issues arose, and luckily Sprinkler King Inc. was very reliable and flexible. The issue of the machine breakdown seemed to throw a major monkey wrench into their schedules, & at the end, the installers realized that they had left their clean-up equipment (broom, etc.) at another location, but they did cleap up as much as they could with the dustpan and leaf-blower I had supplied. The sod itself is a beautiful lush green color, no brown or yellow patches on any pieces I could see. The crew worked hard despite the snafu's they encountered. However, when the sod was laid, they did not cut the sprinkler heads out, and the sprinkler system wire had been damaged and non-functional after installation (the sprinklers had been checked prior to sod installation by Sprinkler King Inc., are were functional at the time). I called the office to let them know about the above issues. Jenny was very apologetic and I asked for a refund of the post-lawn fertization fee ( $ 49), but instead, the company offered to give me an extra month of fertilization, which was fine with me. Its been almost 2 weeks, and the grass is thriving. Overall, the experience was very good and this company was very attentive to my concerns and issues. Good customer service and professionalism.

They were good and did a good job. The only thing is that the sod was too high against my swinging gates, which then couldn't be opened.

Ordered on a Wednesday morning and sod was delivered Thursday at 10AM. Price was the best I could find and they sent me a $5 coupon via email. Unfortunately one of the pallets had moldy/bad grass on a quarter of the pieces. They asked I lay them anyway to see if they root/come in, which they didn't. They came by today to follow up and will be sending me replacement pieces for those areas so I can correct the spots. Very good customer service and follow up to ensure I was happy with the product.

They had the best prices in town. $75 for the pallet, $25 for delivery, $5 online coupon, and they give you $5 back if you return the wooden pallet. They delivered next day and dropped it at the exact location I asked and I didn't have to be home. The grass was good, there was a little bit of dollarweed but it looks great over a month later. Their customer service was great, they answered all of my questions about grass care and watering via email within the same day. For the price you really cant beat them.

OB SOD Garden Center Inc was really upfront with me and explained that they type of Sod that he uses wouldn't be recommended until fall.

prompt delivery. no problem. I threw the pallet in the garbage rather than drive all the way to OB to get my 5$ back. It would have cost more in gas.

OB Sod sprayed Roundup on the grass. They waited 2 weeks and returned to remove the old grass. The sod was delivered that same day (on pallets). Due to a delay in another job, they came back the next day and installed the sod. Everything went as planned and quoted.

Ordered pallet of sod on Monday and had it delivered on Tuesday afternoon. Best price and service.

Do: Call the day before for next day delivery. the sod is cut at night and loaded on trucks for next morning delivery. Be sure you are at home at time of delivery so you can guide them on placement and not let them drive on your side walk or drive way with their front end loader, it could cause damage. Personal preference: You can return your wood shipping pallet's back to OB Sod and get your $5.00 deposit for each one. The deposit is factored in to you purchase price.

Service was excellent! From the initial call/email to Raiza to the time the product was delivered I received outstanding service. The product was delivered when promised and was of excellent quality. My yard guys, who has thrown a lot of sod, said this batch was top quality. Soil exceeded expectation too. In short, I would not hesitate to recommend OB Sod to any of my family and friends.

It went great. A representative came out and gave us an immediate quote. We accepted the offer and their office sceduled the old sod removal and new sod replacement right away. Every one I dealt with at the company was polite and courteous. They did the job in one day and it looks great.
