New View Blinds and Shutters

They are wonderful. The guy was great. He is very personable. He came out. He was very accurate with the measurements. He was very efficient. He was business-like yet friendly. He is one of the best as far as coming and doing blinds and measurements. The cost was reasonable. We have used them more than once.

Peter did an incredible job on the blinds at my house. He came to my house to give me an estimate and provided me with an extremely fair price. Within a week, he called me to tell me the blinds were ready to be installed and came to my house the same day. He was able to install the blinds within an hour (incredible!). Peter is a very nice guy and I am very happy that I went with New View Blinds.

I was so pleased to have Peter call and say that while only the faux wood blinds were in before Christmas would we like for him to come install them and install the remainder after the holidays (once he returned from his own Christmas break). How thoughtful! I had an appointment the morning he came to install these and though it only took an hour and a half Peter had (as he'd indicated in the driveway he would) 'come-and-gone', leaving 6 beautifully covered windows and a thoroughly satisfied husband in his wake. He once again called his first day back from vacation and scheduled installation of the REMAINING shades this morning. WOW WOW (again!): These shades, a 'linen light' one for my husband's 'man cave' and the aforementioned Nordic Screen shades for 2 bedroom windows and a window-wall, were installed in under an hour. Further, when one of the windows turned out to be wonky (thus affecting the 'hang' of the shade), Peter showed us a couple of options to minimize this dilemma and the perfectionist in him had him take our requested 'fix' one step further. (Only) he saw a slight buckling that could be made to 'go away' by trimming the shade, which he then carefully completed. We're pleased with every aspect of Peter's service, DESPITE the cost (which, face it, is high), so much so that if Jim and I have mis-gauged and further light reduction IS needed in our big 'view corridor' great room windows, come summer, we wouldn't dream of calling anyone else to come install additional Nordic Screens. My sister always says, on the 'expensive' items, 'AMORTIZE IT! ... Think of the enjoyment and divide the number of days you'll be enjoying 'it' in to the cost. (and if necessary, cut costs somewhere else in order to 'afford' something this beautiful). If you're reading this, I've one piece of advice: if you've wanted beautiful window coverings (they really DO help modernize this 1987 home) call Peter NOW. That way you'll have even more months to enjoy his handiwork.

Peter was excellent. He was polite and professional, but most of all he answered his phone every time that we called and he was punctual. The work was completed to our satisfaction, and the cost was reasonable.

Owner of the business, Peter Sciortino came to our home, explained what products he would recommend, and measured our windows. He then provided us with an estimate to do all the front windows in our home, and the estimate was a good one for the amount of shutters required and the installation of same. As we had special windows, he indicated that it would take longer for these shutters to be manufactured. We understood this and he provided a date for installation which was kept. The installation was perfect with beautiful Mirasol shutters professionally installed. The installation went quickly and was extremely professional. Seeing the quality of the product and his workmanship, we decided to do the rest of the house. The shutters were manufactured in the time frame he indicated and the second installation went perfectly. We were very happy that we chose this company to do the work and were completely satisfied with the results. The entire process was a great experience.

It went great! Peter is a pleasure to work with and was honest about what blinds were a good fit for our home style. They are high quality blinds and I'm so glad I didn't just go the Home Depot/Lowes route. He was patient and tried his best to work within our budget. Peter was great from the start! From the first contact he was professional, prompt and did exactly what he said he was going to do. The quality of the install was perfect too!

Peter, the owner, installed 5 window treatments. It was a positive experience. my initial phone call was returned the same day and Peter offered to come out that day, but I had other obligations. He visited the house two days later and looked at each window and listened to my priorities on each. One window needed to be fabric verticals at an inexpensive price to compliment the public rooms of the home. Three bedroom windows needed to be light blocking and inexpensive. A bathroom window needed a fabric roller. Peter listened to my priorities and showed me the samples that fit my budget and functional requirements. Excellent! He helped me choose between different shades of white to compliment not clash with a blue wall and found a good shade to compliment existing fabric verticals. The blinds were installed 10 days later. They look great and fulfill all my needs. I will call Peter again when we upgrade our windows in a couple years and need new window treatments.

a few days late on installation

My husband contacted Peter to inquire about plantation shutters for the house. We did not want them on all windows, only street facing, and the small windows by front door. Peter came out promptly (that week, I believe) to measure and give estimate. We found the price to be very reasonable and decided to proceed. He ordered the shutters and contacted us a few weeks later once they were in to set up an install date. On install date, Peter arrived promptly when expected and got to work. I was blown away! They looked incredible. They looked so good, in fact, that we decided to go ahead and install the shutters on our living room windows! We called Peter back and he came out just a couple days later to measure the three windows. We are now waiting on the new shutters to arrive and complete our look. The quality of the shutters is great and they are easy to clean. They really do provide a nice, "finished" look in the house. Additionally, Peter is incredibly easy to work with and provides great service. We are thankful to have found such a wonderful business!

Peter came out and measured and took the order for the blinds, contacted me when they were available (one week or so), and we arranged a installation date. He showed up promptly to do the installation and was finished very quickly. The blinds look great. Peter is very profession, friendly, and competent. He installed my blinds about a week ago. While doing the installation, he noticed a problem with one of the blinds, and instead of putting it up anyway, he ordered a new one for me and came back this week to install it. He did a very nice job.

This was one of the best experiences we have had having work done on our home! We left a message saying we wanted an quote for the job, Peter returned our call promptly and arranged a home visit. He was punctual for the appointment, knowledgeable and friendly, there was no hard sell whatsoever. We asked about timing for installation as were on a bit of a time crunch to get the project finished, Peter said 7 to 10 days. We called on Wednesday and placed the order and the blinds were installed the following Thursday. The blinds look great they really compliment the rooms, the installation was clean, quick and efficient - we couldn't be more pleased. We would highly recommend Peter and definitely use his Company for any future blinds we may install.
