I was told the cooling system was looked at and it was overheating. The switch that handles the overload to the compressor was kicking on and off regularly. Tech was very nice. After he cleaned out back area of some lint, etc. He made call to home office and gave them the model / serial number. He was told by someone in the office that this model was not repairable. He gave me the analogy of other appliances like microwave or something similar being a throw away which is what he told me I would need to do with this refrigerator that is 5 years old. He seems a little surprised by this as I was. Essentially he told me there was nothing he could do. Told me to put a fan in behind it to help keep the compressor cooler and then he left. ** I need to add this comment to let you know we called another company that services LG and they came out and fixed the refrigerator Friday and is running beautifully. They thought the response from Mr. Appliance wasn't accurate and would have never told me the refrigerator was basically obsolete and irreparable. **

The service call was scheduled quickly and the tech arrived on time. David was very professional. He listened to my concerns about the dryer: no heat and a non-functioning door safety switch. Then, he did a thorough inspection of the machine and explained everything he had found problematic. It turns out that in addition to the heating unit, door switch, and wear on thedrum, the 30-amp electrical outlet had been fried by the previous owner. Although the outlet still worked, it was damaged and a fire hazard. David could have recommended several hundred dollars of repair work, but he explained that it would not be cost effective for the age and model of the dryer. His opinion was to replace the dryer and have an electrician check the outlet. I could have been upset by paying for a service call without getting the dryer repaired, but David provided excellent information, and probably saved me money in the long run by not fixing a dryer on its last legs. He also may have saved me from a house fire!

The service for the big deal from Mr Appliance of Tampa Bay worked out great. They were great, no problem. He came in and he was very sharp. He found the problem right away, fixed it and that was that. I was real happy with the service. What I liked the most about them is the professionalism, he was young and neat, not sloppy or messy. When he pulled the refrigerator out he didn't leave any dirt, very nice, very nice young man. I would absolutely use them again in the future and I have already recommended them to a friend of mine.

My stove and power all went out over the 4th of July weekend. Once I got the power back on a few days later the stove was till not turning on and the clock never came back on. I called Mr. Appliance Friday and they were able to send a technician out first thing Monday morning which was perfect for me. The guy was on time, very nice and professional. He confirmed what I feared was the issue which was that the computer of the stove was fried. He said that to repair it the cost would be about $400. Since I was anticipating that would be the case and we are getting ready to sell the condo anyway I decided it would be better to just buy a new stove rather than fix the old one. I was very happy with the work and that they were able to come out quickly and were straight forward with me about the repairs. I will be contacting them again if I have any other issues with my large appliances.

My washer was full of water and clothes and wouldn't drain. I called this morning and they got me scheduled right away. The technician Jose was very sweet and professional. He showed me the problem and fixed it. Without going into detail, I am going through a tough time and let this small problem get me upset. Jose was very kind and efficient. The technician showed up on time and examined the dishwasher. I mentioned that I had smelled a strong electronics burning smell before it crapped out but he wanted to check the pump and motor first. No problem with that, I am wrong alot. Anyway, they had to order a board which only took a day but I had to arrange to stay home from work twice to support the evaluation and repair. Still not a huge deal. Then the annoyances started. The day the tech was supposed to come back they were supposed to call me and coordinate the time. That didn't happen so I was waiting around and had to call them to find out the schedule. Tech showed up, replaced the board, all seemed well so I wrote the check and the tech left. Later that evening I started running the dishwasher and found out that the tech didn't re-secure the unit in the cabinet. Had to shut the thing off, get new screws (don't know what happened to the old ones) and secure the unit myself. Not a huge deal either, just annoying.

Went O.K.. Younger guy arrived on time and said stove needed switches. Was difficult call between buying new and replacing but decided to fix after it was mentioned by tech that service call fee would augment total fee. The office did charge me the eighty dollar service fee but did take-off fee after I complained. I found this a bit unusual as I had a conversation about the fee before I was billed the office. I can only conclude that they knew to take off fee and decided to try and get the extra charge through unnoticed. This is typical of contractors in Tampa.

The technician showed up on time and started diagnosing the problem. He said he could replace the ice maker at a cost that might be more than I wanted to spend on a 10 year old refrigerator. I thought he offered a fair price and I accepted his offer. I would definitely use Mr. Appliance again and I would recommend them to others.

Repairman said he doesn't touch anything that someone else has touched or someone else has tried to fix. The repairman also left in a hurry leaving parts undone and not tightened. When asked about a part on the refrigerator he said it would be cheaper for us to fix it ourselves because they would charge a lot. (what about the $79 I already paid?), He wouldn't confirm what was wrong with the stove saying it was one of two parts... either way it it would be $400. The good news.. he hooked up the hose to the garbage disposal. Not sure that was worth $79. I won't be using these guys again. UPDATE... now my garbage disposal is free-flowing water under my sink and they say they won't come out and fix it.

The repair estimate was $429, and we elected not to do the work, as this is an eight year old range with a replacement cost of about $1050. We decided we still have one good broiler, in the lower oven and would live with the problem until we are ready to replace the range in a few years. We were pleased with the service call and the professionalism of the technician.
Description of Work: We had a coupon for an appliance service call. The technician - Jose - was very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the cause of our problem. We have a broiler in the upper oven of our Maytag Range/Oven that is not working. The technician explained that the element was still fine, but that the control card has a faulty relay that is preventing the element from working.

When the technician came in instead of ordering replacement parts he went ahead and disassembled the dryer to verify what was wrong. It was just the drum being unbalanced. He fixed it right away and saved me a lot of money at the same time. I was very happy with the professionalism he displayed

I called a couple appliance repair firms and described the issue, most said it was the washer tub bearing that needed to be replaced which is expensive. Mr. Appliance originally came to the same conclusion, but after further investigation discover it was a balancing weight had come loose, they quickly tightened the weight and the washer is working as designed. I was charged $200 for the time spent.

We asked them to look at our maytag washer front load ( we used for about 14 months and then power surge broke it) - they indicated it would be more than 500$ While the tech was there he noticed our older whirlpool and offered to purchase it from us for 50$ ( which had a bad agitator ) We did not make a decision that day A few days later my husband called them and said we would like to fix the old whirlpool- the tech said he could come by to get the parts #s as he was in the areas - which he did. He told my husband the new agitator and water inlet would be 319$ and the charge for his visit 79$ We decided to fix the washer ourselves - which took us less than 1/2 hour and under 100$ in parts

All went well except for the fact that I didn't defrost the refrigerator In a timely manner. Saul (technician) had to remove ice from the coils. Needed more than 24 hours to defrost.
Description of Work: The technician (Saul) arrived on time and set out to determine the problem. After contacting a LG tech he was able to detect the problem within a few minutes. The problem was a couple of sensors which needed to be ordered. I scheduled the following service a week later and Saul installed the sensors at that time. My refrigerator is in working once again. I was impressed by Saul professional and knowledgeable attitude. I would recommend and use them again.
