Mr. Appliance of Tampa Bay

After discovering that my refrigerator was leaking I called Mr Appliance. They came out within 3 hours diagnosed the repair and at first did not have the part to fix it. The repairman went out and picked up the part and came back within the hour. A little pricy but considering the last minute nature of the problem it was a fair price. Great service and the refrigerator is fixed.

Tech seemed to know what he was doing and the issue appears to be fixed, however the price was absurd! I really should have left it at the $90 I had already paid for a diagnostic through an Angie's List deal and done the repair myself. To chip away some ice and replace a $7 sensor I had to pay another $116 on top of the $90 I had paid for the diagnostic, and that's including a $20 off coupon.

The guy did a thorough job. They could not solve the problem but they charged me the $75 service charge but I had to $2000 on a new unit. When he got there, it was my computer board and one of the chips went bad. He said they could not get that part in. I paid and did not say anything but they did not do anything to help me because they could not get the part. They said they could have it rebuilt but I just paid the $75. Their price is normal. They were a lot more professional then the other. I just think if you can not solve the problem you should not charge him. I understand they have to pay him, but he was only out here 15 minutes and that is not fair to the customer. If you take your car to the garage and they said you have a problem and we can not fix it, you would not be happy if you had a bill. He sort of surmised to what the problem was but I think they should have checked to see if the problems were available before they came out. They were professional with their attitude and all that. The only bad I can say is they charged me but did not solve my problem. They said if I got the part they would take the $75 to that but then they can not order the part. I asked him about it but he did not really give me an answer.

Great communication from start to finish, although it was going to cost more to repair than replace, I appreciated the technicians honesty, promptness, and integrity. Definitely would do business with this company again.

He explained to me what it might be, then inspected for those causes. He also checked all connections, temperature levels. He explained what the noise actually was and that I did not need anything replaced. It's so nice to find a provider these days who doesn't try to sell you something! He arrived close to the end of the scheduled time window, but he did call to let me know he was on his way. Cleaned up after himself. I would definitely use them again.

Found A rated appliance install and repair group on Angie's List. Called. After some discussion found they refer the work based on zip codes to agents, franchisees or whatever. set an appointment window (8 am-12 pm on a Monday) At 7:44 AM person calls, apologizes for the early call and states they just got a voice mail regarding the appointment and then began a long story that amounts to their inability to fulfill the service as scheduled today and the earliest would be tomorrow. That essentially adds the costs of setting today aside and then setting tomorrow aside. Honestly there was no way to be confident they would be any better tomorrow. To bad. Obviously this makes Mr Appliance look like a bad hoax in my book. Whether Mr Appliance failed ( and while I am no expert, if MA made the commitment but only got the message to his agent minutes before the opening of the window them MA is the bum). But the agent knew the MA would make appointments using the 8-12 window so shame on them and get yourself together to them. Service industry is about prompt courteous professional service and NONE OF THAT OCCURRED IN THIS INSTANCE.

Technician did a great job replacing our refrigerator's compressor. Now it is running as good as new. Will definitely call them again.

He was terrific. He spent a couple of hours here and he fixed everything and he was professional and nice. He was all business and cooperative and focused on the job. The price was fair and they respond the same day. The refrigerator specialist was Saul and he was great. I would absolutely used them again.

They were pretty quick. There weren't able to do it but it wasn't their fault. The price was reasonable. He actually helped fix an issue while he was working on that. He was able to get the ice mixer around the bottom working and run the test on it and help me with that. So he fixed something that he was not supposed to do. He went out of his way to fix the bottom ice maker at no additional charge and let me know a few things about the fridge and what I needed to replace if I needed to do it myself. Even though I can't remember his name somebody from the company later on called just to let me know they apologize for not being able to fix the fridge and that they were going to send the refund back which they did very quick and if we needed services in the future to please remember them.

The gentleman who came to look at the dishwasher was very courteous and helpful. He explained exactly what was wrong with it, and unfortunately the machine is too old to repair. He showed us exactly where certain buttons on the control panel had shorted out and informed us about the potential dangers of trying to continue using the other functions that were still working. He also gave us useful information about things to look for in new machines. When we asked, he also gave us a list of typical service problems he's seen with various brands. We were very happy with the experience and would definitely call them again.

I have used Mr. Appliance once before this year and was very pleased with their service. I have a tenant in the house and Mr. Appliance has a great system for working with tenants. I notify them of the service need and they work directly with the tenant to set up the appointment. This is so much better than me in the middle, going back and forth trying to iron out an appointment time. We ended up cancelling the service call since we were able to resolve the problem on our own.

The associate was able to repair the freezer without the replacement of any parts. She called me and explained the situation thoroughly. She was thorough, considerate, a great communicator and technically well trained. She did a GREAT job.

My husband ended up doing the repairs. I've used them in the past and they've always been good. My husband was able to do the repair, so we didn't need them.

They were very prompt. They called me 10 minutes on when the appointment is and then they arrived on time. They were very courteous, explained how the situation was and said that the part for the oven is no longer being made, I had to buy a new one. So I went online and found a place that does repairs on the circuit boards, sent it to them and got it back in 3 days and the oven is working. They came out quite right away. It was the $79. They told me I needed to buy a new oven which wasn't true. I went and found a place online that repairs circuit boards, sent everything to them and installed it myself. It would have been an A if they would have fixed it but they didn't so I had to go on my own and I basically wasted $79. I would use them again because they were very thorough even though they weren't able to fix the problem. I don't believe that buying another $1000 wall oven would have been the solution. Just one particular issue the option was, buy a new oven and so that wasn't going to happen because it is in really good shape.

Bottom line, the ice maker couldn't be fixed at a reasonable cost. The technician did all he could, returning three times and working with the manufacturer to try to solve the problem. He was honest and straight forward and charged us no additional cost. A refreshing experience to know there are still caring and honest people in this world.

It was expensive. It could have been a better experience if they were less expensive. The service was okay.

Our technician was friendly, courteous and professional. He discovered that the origin of the problem was an easier fix than we thought which saved us about $150 ! We knew no difference and were easy pickings for an unscrupulous contractor! But they were Honest and as a result we added on another service!

service person was 2 hrs late. Truck broke down. I only found out when I called the company. they had to call the driver. He got there 2 hrs late. He looked at the machine and told me part was too expensive. The machine was too old, so he left.

I am SO impressed with Mr. Appliance and my service expert, Carlos Falcon. My washer was making a specific (and loud) noise that I described over the phone when making my appointment. Service was scheduled for the next day...which made me so happy! (I'm used to other department store service providers where you have to wait for over a week to get on the schedule.) Carlos called before arriving to make sure I was home. As he arrived, he put little booties over his shoes to protect my wood floors. He had surmised the problem from the description I had given over the phone, and actually had the correct replacement part on his truck! Seriously. A replacement part. For a 14-year-old washer. This whole thing felt like a miracle to me. All in all, I was only without my washer for a little less than 24 hours before Mr. Appliance had it back up and running. I will never call anyone else for repairs again.

Great! I'm still having problems with my refrigerator. My refrigerator was too cold and they changed the sensor. It was the problem with the sensor and I'm still having problems but I haven't just had time to go back. They were out and the technician was very nice. He came back right out as soon as he could get the parts and he offered to work on my spares if I needed it.

It was a waste of money. He walked in and said that my appliances were broken. He said it would take another $400 to fix them. He was a nice guy and he was good with his job but he told me what I already knew. He was very knowledgeable but he was very overpriced on the repairs.

He arrived on time and was patient answering all my questions. He explained what was wrong and the part that needed to be replaced. He recommended I call a plumber to check the Hot Water Heater due to some debris he found in the water inlet valve. Very happy with the work done.
