DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! After making 3 separate calls to the company to discuss my concerns, and having the receptionist very politely (3 separate times) tell me she sent an urgent message to the manager (Randy), and that he would call me back promptly, I never received a call back, so I decided to pen this review. 1) When you call to set up an appointment for an estimate with Mr. Sparky, you are immediately charged a $29 fee, over the phone. 2) The first visit was for the estimate. An experienced estimator/electrician (Jason) comes out and sees what you need. We had a circuit breaker that would not reset. The estimator recommended changing out the entire panel. I was quoted $4374.00 to install the new panel. Purely by coincidence, one of our other rental properties (in Jacksonville) also had a new electric panel installed the week prior (same exact size: 125 amp service). The Jacksonville electrician's final complete price to change out the panel was $1800. So, Mr. Sparky was quoting over $2500 more than I had just paid to another electrician for the exact same service. However, the estimator said they could install the new panel that same day. It was already noon, and I agreed to proceed with the job, which started promptly when another Mr. Sparky electrician arrived. 3) The installer electrician (Ilya) was very good and very efficient. During the course of the job, he found a circuit that had been accidently hooked up in the past (well before we owned this property) to the other electric panel (the property is a duplex). It seemed easy enough to the electrician to just hook this circuit to the new panel. However, the electrician advised that I needed to get the estimator back out again. I was pretty aggravated the new circuit could not be connected at that same visit. I was more aggravated that I needed to make another appointment with the estimator before the installing electrician could come back. This process now seemed very inefficient. 4) The next week, I missed work for a second day to meet the same Mr. Sparky estimator at the property again. The estimator said I would need to pay to run an entire new circuit, with wiring. Contrary to what the installing electrician had told me, the estimator said we would need to run up to 75 feet of new wire, with an estimated cost of $1100. I explained that the electrician (Ilya) indicated he thought the other circuits already existing wiring could simply be added to a new breaker in the new panel. The estimator told me he had not spoken with Ilya, but he gave me many reasons why that simple connection could not be done, none of which I understood, so the cost stood at $1100. I reluctantly agreed to the new job. 5) The same installing electrician returned the next day to add the circuit. I missed work (a third day) to meet him. He connected the existing wires to the panel, as he said he would the first time. There was no 75 feet of new wiring added. He was done in 45 minutes. I asked why I paid $1100 to run new wire if it wasnt necessary. The installer was very polite, but said I needed to speak with the manager, the guy who never called me back. 6) The final inspection by the city was the following week. There was no Mr. Sparky electrician present, only myself and the inspector. I missed work again (fourth day) for the inspection, and the city FAILED the job. The inspector also indicated that at least one of the breakers in my new panel was a used breaker. I recognize there are serious supply chain issues with all construction components, because of Covid, but I had just paid $4374, for what I assumed was a new panel and new breakers! 7) These guys are fast, but very expensive, and I feel like they ripped me off, then dodged my calls. Randy finally called, AFTER my negative review posted. He offered an $1100 refund, but it never came in 30 days.

Too expensive.

I need a ceiling fan installed. Mister Sparky showed interest and called me but never gave me a quote or responded to my message. I know it is a small job but it is still unprofessional to call and then just disappear.

Called Sparky to make a very simple repair for a faulty circuit breaker. $60 for the breaker and $100 to install it. Well the proposed that we spend over $1,700.00 to fix our problem. Their selling point was that the breaker we needed was back ordered because of cov19. I went to Amazon and ordered the ** back ordered ** breaker for $48 with next day delivery. We are retired senior citizens so they tried to scare us into spending hundreds more than we needed to! Buyers beware of these dishonest franchise owners...especially in Tampa Bay, Fl. They would not take the $70 coupon I had for the services so I fired them on the spot. A real bait and switch company in my opinion.

They did work but to be honest they are highly over priced.

Honest! He told me I could get a part much cheaper and install it myself easily much cheaper than having them do it. I really value the honesty.
