+ -1 moreLooks Great! Very creative! we bought a new king size mattress and base and didn't want to replace our old bedroom suite which had a queen size bed. James came to quote, took the bed with him and as we weren't in a hurry, returned with the new king size bed head a few weeks later. We had never thought of the design he came up with and are thrilled by his work.

+ -1 moreJames was responsive, punctual and very courteous. He worked steadily and completed everything in a few hours, as promised. The shelves are made of solid oak and are of good quality. He custom mixed a stain to match our existing cabinets and, while not an exact match, they are about as close as I had hoped to get. I will definitely call him again if another project comes up.
Description of Work: Made open shelving in space left by our old trash compactor. Also realigned four existing cabinet drawers. Stained shelves to match existing oak cabinets.

+ -1 moreJames was helpful and supplied guidance when I replaced doors on a historical house. Nothing was standard size or make and some parts of the doors had to be custom. Before the project James was available to assist me in finding the materials and available by phone to answer questions. I have had numerous compliments on the doors.

Description of Work: James Baron patched at least 12 locations on the ceilings and walls in my master bedroom and bathroom and then repaired the texture to those areas. He primed and painted all those spots so that everything looks like new; it's impossible to tell that a repair was done. James also removed the loose grout from the corners of my shower enclosure and applied a silicone caulking. Many years ago, James repaired the ceiling in my upstairs hallway where an unreliable A/C man had positioned a drain hose away from the drip pan; as a result, the ceiling and insulation from my attic collapsed. James cleaned up the area and repaired that part of the ceiling so that it looked brand new. Unfortunately, I lost the paperwork for that job, but it was serendipitious that I found James again. He is the only person I will now use for carpentry and drywall repairs on my house.

Description of Work: We had had a sinkhole where the cabinets were and he did some cabinet work and built a cabinet door for us. He's also installed doors for us and worked on siding for us in the past.

+ -1 moreThis was a specialized project to modify a kitchen cabinet so that a refrigerator would fit underneath. After discussing several options, James and I agreed that he would remove about a 1" section of the cabinet and reattach the lower piece to create the space needed. The cabinets were a laminated particle board, so with what he had to work with and the uniqueness of the project, I thought it turned out much better than I had anticipated. He spent a total of about 4-5 hours on the project. I am quite pleased, to be honest.

+ -1 moreJames is exceptionaly meticulous and a perfectionist in his craft. Never have I met anyone with as much integrity and skill in this field. James came when he said he was going to and worked to complete the job on time. He even found additional wood that needed repair and took it upon himself to do the work without additional expense. He also coordinated work with a painting contractor who needed to work alongside him in order to finish the job in a timely manner.
Description of Work: James has done many jobs for me over the past 5 years. Most recently he replaced a large amount of siding on our home, installed a new door, and built a cabinet in our garage to house our storm shutters.
