Lou's team (crew led by Frank) did a great job. They worked very efficiently throughout, including pressure washing and other prep, painting, then final touch-ups and clean up. They walked the project with us when completed to address any concerns. My wife and I are detail oriented, and they did everything possible to please us. Definitely would use them again. I had one concern (during interior painting) when they didn't bother taping the edges of the crown molding on our ceiling. However, the guy painting those areas had a masters touch, and the paint lines were actually better than the last painters we used (who spent 2 hours taping before starting)! Lou's crew were real pro's, and best of all, seemed to have fun working together!

The crew came out the day before painting was to begin to power wash all areas to be painted. They even power washed the lanai screening as there was a lot of mold on it. It was a nice surprise as I didn't ask for it to be done. The crew chief (Otis) and his crew (I apologize for not remembering their names) came out on time the next day and began prepping the house to be painted. They did a great job with this and their attention to detail was appreciated. The job wound up taking longer than Lou had anticipated due to the size of house and the Hardee board siding on our house which required more prep work. He said he underestimated. It happens, but I appreciated the time the crew spent to properly complete the prep work. The crew worked for at least 2 days to prep before the primer and paint could be applied. They did a great job with the painting on the house and the color looks beautiful. Otis and his crew helped match up the colors for the front porch decking and lanai decking and it looks beautiful as well. The crew was careful with any shrubbery, pool & A/C equipment and covered as necessary. The crew was always pleasant and cleaned up each day. The crew was also supposed to paint one interior room, but due to the length of time the project was taking I told Lou I would paint the room myself as I had some time off from work. I asked if he could pick up the paint for me using his discount as a sale at the paint store had just ended and I would pay him for it. He did better than that and picked up the paint and told me there was no charge for it. I was able to paint my room while the crew worked on the outside. This gesture was also appreciated. Lou was either a phone call or a text away during the process. He came by after his crew completed the job and he inspected everything, pointing out an area he wanted his crew to fix that I didn't even notice. It was minor, but I like his attention to detail. He had Otis come back and fix the area to be done and one other spot I found, also minor. The house looks great and have received many compliments on it. We are very pleased with the work and have already recommended Lou Phillips Painting to a friend.

The job went very well. The lead painter Frank addressed all my requests in a professional manner. Dave did the pressure wash on the house and we had him return after the painting was completed and he pressure washed the pool patio and driveway (an additional very reasonable charge). The masking was very well done with little or no overspray in unwanted areas.

They were awesome. I would highly recommend them. They did a good job and the experience went good but I do not remember how long ago they did that for me and how much it cost. The guys that came out were really good. They were professional and on time.

He showed up on time and was very professional. He followed of after he the finished the work to do some touch ups.

The best way for a service provider to make a name for themselves is to not just meet but EXCEED customer's expectations and Lou Phillips Painting did that for is in every way. After we found Lou on Angies List he came out promptly and gave us an estimate that was under what I expected to pay for the job and that doesn't happen very often. A couple of days letter Dave, his pressure cleaning guy, came out and not only cleaned the house from top to bottom, but also did a great job of pressure cleaning our 3-car driveway and sidewalks. The next day Lou's sent a 3-man crew led by Frankie (who was every bit as meticulous as Lou) to fill in every crack and prep the house for painting. It is a big house but they got the entire job done in less than 3 days and did a spectacular job, making sure the smallest details were covered and even doing doing some tasks they weren't required to do. I could not find a single flaw to complain about and every guy on this crew worked hard and was a pleasure to be around. Our house had not been painted since it was built 8 years ago and the original cheap builders paint had long since worn down to a thin layer. The builder had also had to come out and repair two sides of the house with new stucco as some of the old layer had started falling off (a far too frequent problem in our area). As a result the house absorbed paint like a sponge absorbs water. It wound up taking about 25% more paint than Lou expected but that did not change his price. He insisted we only pay what his estimate was (but I still insisted on adding a small bonus because I believe in rewarding honest people who take pride in their work - sadly they are not as easy to find as you might think)! I always count myself lucky when I find a service provider like Lou Phillips Painting, so thank you Lou and thank you previous Angies List reviewers who led us to choose his company!

We were very pleased with their work. We selected the paint at the store and they purchased and picked up the paint so that was included in the price. They were very efficient and pleasant to work with and asked questions before and during the job to be sure it was done to our satisfaction. They were very careful to cover everything and did a great job of clean up. We would highly recommend them and will definitely be using them to do interior painting in the future.

Lou's staff did an excellent job painting my home. This included fixing cracks in the stucco and repairing a cracked wallboard overhang which has been an issue for a number of years. I was having other work done at the same time which included new gutters and stripping pavers on the patio (this work was not done by Lou). Lou worked with me so I could have the house painted between removing the old guttering and replacing it with new. When I explained to him that I was having the pavers stripped he realized that the new paint close to the pavers may be damaged and without being asked he offered to come back and repaint the damaged areas which he did. Lou even used the brand of paint I requested (Coronado). He was always available whenever I called and was courteous and responsive, something other contractors could learn from. His staff also cleaned up after the job was complete, another plus. I solicited 5 bids (all from Angie's list) and Lou was not the least expensive but he was the most professional. He walked around the house with me and explained what he would do. I almost use Angie's for all my major work and the 5 bids I received were all good but Lou stood out from the rest. Of course cost is always a factor but should be tempered with the other intangibles. Great company

The job went smoothly from beginning to end. Lou is extremely professional, his prices are reasonable, and the work is done in a timely manner and with a talented and friendly crew. We can't say enough about how lovely the home is now. Thank you, Angie's List! We feel very lucky to have found Lou Phillips and his great crew (Frank, Chris & Freddie were super!) for our painting needs.

Lou Phillips arrived on time, was very professional, and easy to talk to as well as being flexible for our schedule. He walked us through the entire home (2300 sq foot) to go over what we wanted painted (ceilings, foyer, hallways, 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and all closets) and what type off paint we wanted to use. He uses the top of the line paint and what we had used in the past and the paint was included in the cost of the paint job. They also left some paint so we could use for touch up in the future, if needed. He was very knowledgeable and wasn't rushed. His head contractor, Hector did a beautiful job on prepping the home for painting, painting, and running a crew as well. They took one day to prep and 2 and a half days to paint. All the floors were covered as well as any home accessories such as ceiling fans, wooden beams, and lights so paint wouldn't get on them. The home turned out gorgeous and I would recommend them and contract to use them again.

EMPLOYEES (THE PAINTERS) WERE PROFESSIONAL IN EVERY WAY...FROM THEIR CRAFT TO THEIR DEMEANOR. THEY WERE IMMERSED IN ALL ASPECTS OF THEIR WORK AND UPBEAT ABOUT WHO THEY WORKED FOR. LOU PHILLIPS PAINTING IS STRAIGHT OUT OF THE TEXTBOOKS.

Cost: $2,300 for lifetime exterior paint job plus $250 for fascia replacement where needed. Exterior paint work coat was competitive and fascia work cost was reasonable Schedule: work was quite timely and completed within two weeks of signing contract. Touch up work was completed soon after. Performance: fascia work performed by an employees of the vendor was well done. Exterior paint job was performed professionally. Vendor recommends the highest quality paint for Florida and it does make a bug difference versus a mid keel range paint.

I can't say enough good things about Lou Phillips Painting. They did a really excellent job. All the people who worked here were professional and polite, with great attention to detail. Frank did an especially good job of dealing with the changing weather conditions, since the project was started before tropical storm Andrea. Lou always answered my calls in a timely manner. Quality job, great people!

They did a fantastic job. They price was very fair and every workman did really good work. They went above and beyond what they originally promised and we were quite satisfied with the results.

Couldn't have been better. From initial contact until completion of the job, Lou and his crew were prompt, courteous and professional. They delivered much more than promised. The level of service and overal quality of the job surpassed my highest hopes. Additionally, the total cost was much lower than many of the other bids.

Lou was prompt on coming to examine the doors and give me a quote. Appointment scheduling was quick and professional. Due to weather he called to ask if we could move up the actual work date which was fine. Two painters arrived on time, worked hard, and finished the actual sanding and painting that day. Lou called to check on the job and said that due to weather they would have to wait a few days to seal the doors. They came later that week. I was not home which was not necessary, but Lou called to let me know they had finished the job and asked how I like it. The doors were beautiful! The whole experience with Lou Phillips and his crew was exceptional and I would definitely use them again!

Overall, I would have to say it went well. We had a few bumps along the way, but with such a big project, this is sort of expected. Lou is very polite, professional and honest. He was on the job site frequently and made sure if there were any issues, they were rectified immediately. We are pleased with the end result and would use his company in the future for (gasp) more wallpaper removal and painting in the guest bedrooms.

After much deliberation and several estimates from Angie's list "A" rated companies, we chose Lou Phillips Painting. Lou was the most responsive, the most professional, and we sincerely feel he gave us the best advice regarding materials. It was a bonus that he also gave the best estimate! Only time will tell whether the paint choice WAS the best, but after speaking with the manufacturer, doing a lot of research on exterior paints, and actually seeing the product, I feel we won't be disappointed. For those of you considering exterior paints, I feel Lou's recommendation of Color Wheel Paints is a great alternative to overpriced national brands not specifically designed for the Florida climate(IMO). Even the two contractors recommending SWilliam's products couldn't agree on which SW product would be best and their information contradicted each other. Lou's crew worked hard, his lead man Pablo was very attentive, and both went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied. Highly recommend!
