Lightning Aluminum

Description of Work: In April 2015 they installed a patio cover and pool cage. The patio cover began to leak at the first heavy rain after installation. Not just little leaks but leaks coming from every seam and where the patio cover attaches to the house. I called the company and sent a video of the leaks. A worker came out and informed me that the gutters needed to be cleaned. Even after cleaning the gutters it still leaked, but they insisted it was the gutters and then no communications from them. Later I found out they didn't caulk the seams and possible no flashing where the patio cover attached to the house.

Description of Work: Lightning Aluminum was great. They maintained contact through email throughout the process, even responding on weekends and late at night. They arrived when they said they would and were finished with our 20' by 26' screen room in a day and a morning. Everyone worked hard, and the owner was on the job, working as well and ensuring everything happened according to plan. The screen room looks fantastic, and we are very happy with it. We are out there with the kids almost every night. One caveat. We did have some trouble with the paver company that Lightning recommended: Brazilian Brick Pavers. It took three and a half weeks for them to complete the pavers for the patio when it should have taken less than a week, start to finish, including the concrete footer. At least five different days we were promised that work would be completed, and either no one showed up at all or a worker came for an hour or two and then left. Each of these times Brazilian Brick Pavers never bothered to contact us to tell us he wouldn't be coming that day--so we canceled appointments, outings, and even work schedules to make sure we were home and waited around for no one to show up. Large piles of dirt sat on our lawn for over a week, and sections of our lawn was destroyed. Their dump truck and load of gravel sat blocking our driveway for so many days we actually had the police visit us. We couldn't use our garage or driveway and had to park on the side of the street, which is unsafe and violates county codes. When Alton the owner finally did complete the job, the work was quality and we are happy with the finished product. However, professionalism and common courteousness left much to be desired. Once again, we are very happy with Lightning Aluminum and would hire them again or recommend them in a heart beat.
