When I hear Jewelry appraiser, I'm thinking all jewelry including precious stones such as diamonds. All they did was weigh the gold and tell me that three rings with diamonds and possibly jade and a large gold nugget with 2 diamonds was only $1000. To me that wasn't an appraisal for my jewelry, it was an appraisal for the gold only.

We were moving and I did not want to move my husband's coin collection (again) as it was extensive and costly on insurance. I contacted Suzzane and arranged to meet her at my sister's house because I live in South Florida. She was on time and very professional and polite. She spent approximately 5 hours (2 appointments) appraising the collection. She was very thorough and provided me an appraisal and bought them on the spot. She was very professional and thorough. She knew what she was doing and I would recommend her to anyone seeking an appraisal/buyer for coins.

She showed up at my house on time and priced all of the items I had out for her. Offered a reasonable price for individual pieces. I only sold her a portion of what was evaluated. My wife decided she wanted to hold on to some of the items.

Suzzanne replied to our message very quickly and as it turned out she was able to come by our house that same evening! Suzzanne was personable and professional. We appreciated the time she spent with us and her input on our items. We did decide to sell her some of our coins and were happy with the transaction. Called to make an appointment. Suzanne interrupted her plans and came to our home within 2 hours of calling. She appraised our collection explaining the process as she worked. Some coins had value beyond their face value while others were valued for their metal content. Some were returned as spendable. We felt comfortable that we received a fair price for the collection and really appreciated her honesty and coming the same day we called.

I purchased a big deal from Angie's List and they were wonderful people. They were informative, prompt and helpful. I did not pay anything other than the big deal purchase. She was really wonderful.
Description of Work: I had a bunch of old coins and paper money that were kind of passed down the family, I did not know if it was worth anything or not, so I gathered it all up and the lady that came from Johnson, Inc., Gold & Coin Collection Buyers looked at all of it and told me that I did not have the million dollar coin that I hoped, unfortunately, but she was able to tell me the stuff that was rarer than others and actually offered to buy my collection if I was so interested, which I did not do. She was able to give me a price on the stuff and tell me what it was worth, so it was an appraisal.

It was fine. I called them the day I purchased it and they came out the same day. They were on time. They looked over what we had and told us what we had. They made an offer on what they wanted, which we did not accept. They were coins that have been in the family for a long time. We were just getting them appraised; we were not interested in selling anything. They were very cordial about that as well. They were very nice and professional. If I ever needed something like that again, I would definitely call them. I would recommend them.

erArrived on time. they were pleasant and informative. gave me a total price and pointed out some sets that had a value that surprised me. She quoted the price a dealer would pay, not the retail price. This was understood before we began and therefore was not a surprise. In total she spent a good hour and a half working on the coins, and really impressed me. Now I have to go get a safe!
