+ -1 moreMelvin was excellent; he was very professional and knowledgeable. He even squeezed us in on the same day I called (which was his afternoon off) since our old A/C unit wasn't working at all. He worked quickly and neatly and cleaned up any loose pieces. He even checked in the next day to make sure everything was working smoothly. I highly recommend him and will be using his services again when the need arises.
Description of Work: We needed our entire A/C system replaced.

+ -1 moreMy partner and I were referred by our neighbor, who had her air condition replaced. We contacted them, had them give us a quote and Mel came out and did the replacement. Very affordable and very professional. Would recommend to others.

+ -1 moreMelvin came in very short notice to analyze the problem. He determined it needed a new valve. He ordered, delivered and installed it the next day. That night it was functioning normally. He was very professional, his price was very reasonable and he was very knowledgeable. Two days later, he called to make sure everything was working well. We are thrilled with his service and his responsiveness and would definitely recommend him. In fact, we will be giving his name to all our neighbors. Wonderful experience. I only wish all service providers were this good.

+ -1 moreI could not be more satisfied than I am with the guys at JM Residential. They were very responsive in getting out to our house to give us a quote. The delivered the work as they said they would, they left our house clean. JM Residential was recommended to me my neighbors, who had had work done by them. What I can tell you - i had 4 quotes on AC ranging from $5000 - $15000. We have a good friend who is in the AC biz in Ohio, and we called and vetted out the system with him, and he confirmed that the Comfortmaker 15 SEER was an excellent choice. I would highly recommend JM Residential

+ -1 moreIt went very smoothly! Melvin is very personable, responsive and professional! Did not try to upsell us or make us feel cheap or ignorant when we elected not to replace equipment. He arrived when promised, stayed as long as it took and went the extra mile for us. Would highly recommend this locally owned business!
Description of Work: In June my A/C just stopped. The company I have a service agreement with was too busy to come ASAP. Melvin and JM Residential recommended by another contractor who had worked with them. Melvin has very responsive and made arrangements to come after his day to assess the situation. Concluded our outside over 15 year old, extremely loud, 5 ton, condensing unit was shot and promised to try to find one from one of his vendors that was "scratched/dented" if possible. He was successful and we got a 4 ton 410a system condensing unit with a warranty! The unit and installation was $1300.00 It is very quiet and our electric bill went down 50% right away. We were delighted! We elected not to replace the inside 5 ton air handler right away. Melvin did not pressure us to do so. He did make us aware that while the two were compatible, the air handler would not be as efficient as possible because they were mismatched. This past month, we decided it was time to replace the air handler and called Melvin. Within a day or so, he ordered the compatible 4 ton 410a air handler and was able to install it. While he was here, we asked him to inspect our air duct in the attic. He did and suggested some changes in how it it was connected within the old part of the house ( 1942) to the newer part of the house(1997). He also noticed uninstalled insulation and offered to put that down while he was up there. He did entire scope of work 1/18/2012 and it was a total of $1200.00. Already we can tell a difference in the airflow and are very happy and satisfied.
