It took months for a design and then when we finally did get one, it was nothing like what we asked for.

this customer didn't realize that a 3-d drawing is a 3-d drawing. that is what she paid for and what she received. her remodel was very bizarre and she wanted to incorporate the closets across the hall from the kitchen. I wasn't interested in taking on her project at the time, and I think this infuriated her. she had the computer layout and 3-d rendering, and could have used that to shop her kitchen remodel project with other contractors. I can only assume that is the reason for the review because I wasn't going to take on her project. I can't spread myself too thin and keep the quality of work that I have.

My experience was not good. They quoted me $30000. They were rude and unprofessional. They were also very condescending with me being a woman and wanting the work done in a particular way.

wow. this review really took me by surprise. when this customer first contacted me about an estimate for an FHA203K renovation project, I responded promptly. we met her at the home, and I had received an estimate of repairs and of renovations that the customer desired by the HUD consultant who wrote it up. the total was around $41,000. upon reviewing the bid, and consulting with the customer, she stated that she was only approved for $30,000, but the estimate prepared by the consultant, was for $41K. I told her that we would have to modify the repairs that she wanted to try and stay within her allowance by FHA. we discussed which items could be removed to bring her in compliance, and I thought we were on the same page because she had agreed to the terms. I wrote up the HUD estimate based on the consultants' estimate and the customers' desires, staying within her budget. I sent the estimate to her email for review, and then I didn't hear from her again. unfortunately, because of the workload that I have, and helping past customers with their emergencies due to the weather here in Fla.(massive rain and wind), I didn't get to follow up with her on where we stood as far as the estimate. I assumed that she wasn't happy with my estimate, and was using another contractor, but I had left our negotiation feeling good and thought I was going to help her remodel her home and bring it to move -in condition. in one of her emails to me, she actually stated that she had another bid from another contractor who had given her ideas to cut the costs as well. she was a school teacher buying her first home, and I was happy to help her out. then came this review which floored me, because I didn't mistreat or look down upon this customer in any way, shape or form. as a mater of fact, I don't look down on anyone, regardless of who they are, or what they look like. and if anything, this customer was quite attractive, and I actually looked forward to doing her job because she was an Angie's list member. I still am confused by the review, but I hope that she had success in purchasing and remodeling her soon to be home, even if it was with another contractor!

I wish that some people would at least tell the truth. when I finished the design for this customer, I email ed her and asked if she would like me to come back out to her home, or email her the design and pics. she stated that she wanted me to send them to her email address which she provided, so I did. then I get this review? I'm sorry that I did my job. I wish her luck with her remodel, and I hope that she watches who she uses because there are a lot of scam artists out there. she would be better off using an Angie's List service provider!

So, first Mike didn't want to drive out to our house in the late afternoon because he lives in Carrollwood and the drive home was not going to be ideal. I'm sorry that we work and cannot meet during the middle of the day. When we finally got him to come out, we told him about wanting to remodel 2 bathrooms, extend a closet in the master and redo the kitchen. Now, we had paid for the 3D kitchen design and it only took 6 weeks after he was here to get the design and NO PRICE! Mike told us that he was "too busy" to price out the kitchen. That's what we paid for!! He was a nice enough guy while he was here but when he heard that we were in East Brandon and we were not looking to spend $100k on our renovations, he wasn't interested in working with us anymore. He took the measurements to Home Depot and that is where the design came from. We could have done it ourselves. I would not recommend meeting with them,.

it is unfortunate that some people purchase things and don't read what they are getting. this customer paid for a consult and 3-d drawings. it is true she lived in east Brandon, and wanted me to travel there during the afternoon rush hour traffic. I wanted to preferably meet on a Saturday, but she stated her dad wanted to be there since he would ultimately pay for everything, and he lived in weeki-watchi, (about 1.25 hours away from Brandon). so I did meet with the customer during the week, and we discussed her kitchen a bit. then she told me she wouldn't be doing the kitchen for quite some time, but wanted quotes on her two bathrooms. I measured the bathrooms, and then I sent her the estimates for those projects. I then sent her the drawings that she had paid for, and I had already consulted with her about the kitchen, and gave her my thoughts. since I was so busy at the time, I politely declined to bid on her kitchen and told her with the design she could shop the estimate around, but I didn't have the time to put together a bid on her kitchen which would probably be done in the future, but who knows when. she became very irate and then threatened me with bad reviews and marks. it only took her 2 months to respond with her bad review. I guess she wasn't in a hurry to write me up. I never heard her mention anything about the bathrooms which were her real priority, and in which I had given her bids. my thoughts were if she was just wanting estimates for her kitchen now with no intention of getting it done, I didn't have the time to dedicate to giving her a fair bid. I could have told her $50,000 and lied, but that is not me. I tried to be honest, but it just doesn't work all the time. hopefully she gets her remodeling done to her satisfaction.

Have met with Mike several times and he by far has been the easiest general contractor to work with and develop a comprehensive remodeling proposal for a total home makeover in safety harbor. I have met with 3 other contractors before encountering mike and there was a night and day difference. I will write a follow up when the job is completed as the only work done so far has been planning and estimates all if which I have been impressed with.

Remodeled our master bath. The owner was very patient overcoming obstacles in a calm manner. He was always available to answer our questions...and there were many. But most impressive were the added details he came up with.Like granite on the window sill, installing a pull down drawer for the tooth paste. They cleaned up every day before leaving. Excellent company.

Jamco was recommended by my mortgage broker because we were doing an FHA 203-k loan to borrow money in the mortgage to pay for renovations. Because that process involves the contractor potentially fronting some of the cost, and includes some red tape, not many contractors are willing to do it. We hired Jamco to do carpet and a complete kitchen remodel. Michael Lezcano was our point of contact and he's a great guy, very easy to work with - I feel like a made a friend. The work was done very quickly and very professional. Any issues we had with the job were taken care of very promptly. For instance, we noticed at one point that a hole appeared in the wall in our bedroom, which is adjacent to the kitchen. The hole was patched and painted without us even having to bring it up. If I had to bring up a negative point, there were a couple of instances where some minor style choices were made without our input. For instance, we might have used higher-end trim around the can lights. I know these choices were made so that the job would be done quickly, which it was. My wife and I are very laid back and it wasn't a big deal, but I could see some people getting bent out of shape about it. Overall, it was a very positive experience. They were always on time, and if Michael said something would get done, it got done. We hope to remodel our bathroom next year and I'll definitely be giving Michael and Jamco a call. UPDATE: Everything Michael and Jamco added in their response is 100% accurate and we are very grateful for their help, their flexibility, and their professionalism. Highly recommended!
Description of Work: The kitchen remodel involved pretty much everything: demolition of the existing kitchen, re-working some plumbing, framing a half-wall, new cabinets, granite countertops, installing can lighting, and new appliances. Also replaced carpet in three bedrooms and painted.

It's interesting that when you have a couple with much common sense how much great things can come about! What (member name removed) failed to tell you is this, 1) Lowes was originally committed to do this job and backed out at the last moment, leaving the Centrones' in a pickle 2) I was able to match Lowe's price, and even upgrade their granite countertops from the original choice 3) We had several issues with the install that Lowe's didn't discover, but Jamco Construction took car of at no additional cost and 4) (member name removed) was trying to paint the interior of the home himself, and realized how much fun it was. He then asked for a price to paint the living room, dining room, kitchen and hallways, but since he was an Angie's List member and was so nice to give us the opportunity to do his FHA203K rehab, we painted the rooms for free! All he had to do was purchase the paint and he got my discount on top of that as well. So if you're looking for quality kitchen remodeling from an honest, hard working contractor, you know who to call, especially if you are an Angie's List member.

the work done on this Angie's List customer was done thru the FHA203K program, in which Jamco Construction is a certified contractor. The customer agreed to the items needed to be fixed, a roof, a new a/c unit, painting, drywall and some minor other things, and they were done in an expedited manor. The homeowner was very pleasant to work for, and very appreciative of our quick and great work. This shows how easy it is to get things done when all parties are on the same page and understand what needs to be done. I would do more work for this customer anytime he calls!

We were most impressed with his knowledge related to the work to be performed, as well as his confidence and obvious work ethic. He quite promptly contacted us with an extremely reasonable quote. I rated a "B" for "Responsiveness" only because his responses to my additional questions were not as prompt. I am sure this was related solely to the fact he was very busy. Ultimately we did not hire Jamco for the remodel because we found a contractor with design consultation services built in for basically the same cost. However, I WOULD NOT hesitate to contact Jamco related to any additional work to our home.

Mr. Lecanzo came out to the house and looked at our kitchen and bathroom. We have had a major foundation repair that left our house in somewhat of a disaster and he was very knowledgeable about how we could affordably address our many problems. We chose another contractor for this project but we definitely feel he is a reputable and knowledgeable contractor and we will keep him in mind for future projects.

The guy came out to my house in FL & we met him out there to show him what needed to be done - we live 1200 miles. It was a massive home renovation. He came out to see what we needed to be done, took notes, & measurements, but never called back or anything. We've heard no word at all since. He could've told us he didn't have time or the expertise but he just didn't say anything. No follow up - no follow through. He was on time for the appointment at least. We took time to have him walk through the house, he could have at least called us back.

If my notes don't lie, this estimate was many moons ago. i did travel from tampa to dunedin (around 45 minutes) to meet with mr.gold and his wife. they weren't sure about the home and whether they were going to move there or not, because it was a rental and they were very indecisive. i did in fact do an estimate because it is all written in my notebook, but for some reason i didn't email it to them. sometimes even the best get a brain fart! it is not my usual way of doing business, but as you can see i don't even advertize on angie's list anymore due to the volume of work that i get, and sometimes can't handle. that's why i tell people if they want me to do their job, make sure you are ready to schedule a date because tomorrow could be filled up and you got pushed back on the calendar, but don't be mad at me if it happens. the problem is that i can fix/repair anything, and when i get on a job, the customers keep adding things that weren't originally on the list and i get pressed for time. i have sent mr. gold a humble apology for my blunder, and i hope that it will not happen again. ps- i met him and his wife at their convenience when they had scheduled a trip to tampa, so it wasn't like they came just to meet me!

I owe Mike and his team a huge apology for not writing this review sooner. Mike came out personally to first give an estimate. His estimate was fair and thorough. He and his crew did an exceptional job - patching and painting several interior walls, painting our garage door as well as painting an outside entry door. Mike and his crew arrived on time each day, cleaned up at the end of each day and then Mike came back after the job was done to ensure we were satisfied. We have used alot of painters over the years and we are so happy that we found Jamco and plan to use them again as well as recommend them to others

Pretty good. They were good sports about coming back to correct the mismatch and they were pretty clean. I had neglected to ask them when they started to paint the interior of the little water closet where the toilet was so that was forgotten and they didn't have time to do it later on which was fair enough.
Description of Work: I used an Angie's List Big Deal for one room of painting. I called them up and made an appointment for the following week. I had purchased the paint several months back and just hadn't gotten around to painting our master bathroom. They came a little late the morning of as they were doing another larger job somewhere else and there was some traffic but they called to let me know they were running behind. Once there, the three men got to work quickly and taped up. They did not a lot of brushing because there were so many edges. They did two coats quite quickly out of 1+1/4 can over the course of a morning. The cutting was great but the color seemed a bit off even after allowing time to dry. So I had to call to have them come back the next week to basically do a third coat. They said the two cans were slightly different in color (probably from sitting out for a few months they were not adequately mixed) which caused the mismatch.

I purchased a Big Deal from Angie's list. Due to personal issues of my own, I had to reschedule Mike twice and the coupon was due to expire. He told me not to worry about it and that he would still honor even if the expiration date had passed. Once I rescheduled the 3rd time, he came at the time agreed upon and painted my room. The room's lighting is very poor which made it difficult to see how well the paint covered . I was concerned that one coat would not cover properly and Mike said to call him if I had any problem. The next day I did notice some areas that were not covered fully and I called Mike back. He came back out with no problem and gave the room a second coat. I was very pleased and appreciated his professionalism in returning to my home to fix the problem.

i would like to continually acknowledge that it is soooo easy to work with people who are reasonable and intelligent. remodeling in any capacity is usually a mystery because you cannot see what's behind walls, ceilings and floors until you rip them out. in this case, the homeowner knew that the lighting was poor and it was hard to move around the bed that was left in the room. but because we were on the same page and wanted the same expert results, they were easily obtained! another satisfied angie's list member. thanks angie's list!!

I bought the coupon for an interior room painted for $99. I called to book an appointment for the work and was able to get it scheduled within a few weeks. Mike called on the day of the appointment to say he was running a little which was fine with me, but I appreciated that he called to let me know. He arrived shortly after and promptly began prepping the room. He was polite enough to put down towels in front of the door so as not track into the house. He took his time to do an excellent job and cleaned up after the work was done. He was courteous and professional, and I was pleased enough that I asked him to provide me with an estimate to remodel the spare bathroom. It's evident that Mike takes pride in a job well done.ed

I have used Jamco in the past to install new countertops for our kitchen. I began the dining room renovation by starting to remove the wallpaper. It was immediately obvious that the wallpaper was not going to come off easily. I worked for two days and only did about half. Because of my previous expirience I called Jamco to see if they could finish the wallpaper removal and paint the dining room. They showed up on Thursday to finish the wallpaper removal. Then on Friday, they finished the job in one day. This included:1. Removing the curtains and moving furniture.2. Mudding the walls to even out the spots where the drywall was gouged.3. Sanding the walls.4. Applying texture5. Priming the wall6. Applying two coats of paint.7. Re-installing the curtains and replacing the furniture. Michael was very flexible in getting the job done before a party we are having on Saturday. Thanks, Michael for a great job!!

It was easy to go out of my way and rearrange my schedule for Member and his wife because they were very nice people and easy to get along with. When i come across customers as such it becomes pleasant to actually do something nice for them, and as a result his wife was very happy to get the dining room back in shape for his party. I didn't think I could pull it off but i stayed late and finished for them. The fact that they are Angie's list customers also influenced me just a little! Happy Birthday Member, hope that you have many, many more!

The job they did was very good. They were professional. They werent overly friendly. They came to work and didn't talk much. I did have to ask them to catch a couple of wholes with their spackle. Also, they came 45 minutes late. I had to call them to see where they were and they said they would be there in 45 minutes. Once they got here, they got the job done and I am please with what they did.
Description of Work: They painted a bedroom in my house. They also filled in the wholes left from pictures and other hanging things.

The member was very pleasant when we arrived, and yes due to traffic we were late. she did point out the holes in the walls, approximately 169 of them. it was like someone played darts against the walls, but it could have been thumb tacks? there was evidence of termite damage, and i was wondering if some of the holes were due to that. we also had to paint her closet(not included in the offer) which had a total of 7 different wire shelves that we took down and replaced for her. (not mentioned). the job came out great, and the member was happy with the results, although i wasn't really thrilled about all the extra work, but we went out of our way for an Angie's list member as we always do! she'll enjoy the room for years to come.
