Jack O Trades

This was a very positive experience. Submitted my request to Logan via their website submission form. Logan promptly contacted me, discussed my request and provided a written estimate. Once the decision was made to hire Logan, he was able to schedule my repairs quickly. Logan arrived on time and was very professional. He cleaned my gutters and pressure washed the gutters in the process to clean them out and make sure that the downspouts were clear. The replacement wheels for the sliders were slightly more expensive once he saw the actual doors. He let me know of the price difference for the materials so there wasn't a surprise. Overall, everything that Logan did for me was done very well.

I found Logan to be both knowledgeable and professional. He noticed and repaired a faulty stoop that was trapping rain water in the garage door leading to wood rot in the frame,and suggested an alternate material to keep the problem from happening again. He was very punctual ,even calling when he was running just a few minutes late for our initial meeting. After I accepted his estimate I forgot to remind him that I found him on Angie's List even though I mentioned that in my original call. I realized that he had not included the 10% Angies's discount called him and he adjusted the estimate right away.

He was very pleasant and on top of things. For the work that we needed done, he needed to check to see if he was licensed in our area. It turned out he was not and I believe it may have had something do to with the fact that it was a condo. We really wanted to work with him, but were happy that he was honest about the licensing.

Logan was very responsive to my intial call into him for a quote. Logan ended up coming out to the house to review the work to be performed. He showed up when he said he would which is very important to me, we have had other experiences where people just don't respond at all. He quoted the work and provided us the date he could start and complete the job. He kept to his timelines and was exceptional in how he handled this job. Would absolutely use his services again

He removed the old refridgerator and all the molding around the door and brought the new refridgerator in. Also, we had pocket doors and he managed to take out the pocket doors and put up dry wall so that it is just a wall. He did a beautiful job.

I e-mailed Logan of Jack O' Trades with my phone #. He called me with in a couple of hours. We set up a time for him to come by and give me an estimate. He was right on time. He gave me an estimate that I felt was fair and we decided that he would do the project. We set the date and he arrived just as he said he would. He did such an outstanding job. He cleaned up the area when he was through. He gave me instuctions on as not to walk on the floor for 24 hours. I have asked for him to give me other estimates on some projects I would like him to do. You will be very satisfied with him. A professional and all around nice guy. Can't go wrong.

Logan did really good work. He was a young guy. He came out when he said that he was going too. He took the time to cover everything with plastic before he started. He did a very good and professional job. He got all of the work done in the time that he said that he would. He seemed to know what he was talking about. I had no complaints with Logan's work.

I initially contacted Jack 'O Trades about assembling the tool shed. I bought it as a present for my husband. I had NO IDEA that it would need a foundation (oops.) I had intended to assemble the shed myself (seemed simple enough in the pictures at Sears). When the delivery truck came with it, I almost fainted - it was two huge boxes weighing over 400 pounds. All that I could do was have the delivery guy drop the boxes on the ground at the entry to my back yard. Then I covered them with a tarpaulin and bricks and let them sit there until I could figure out my next step. When I called the place of purchase to see if they could assemble it for me, they said, "Sure. The charge will be $190 but you have to get the slab yourself." Slab? Whatever could they be talking about. That's when I started surfing the internet and found out what "slab" they were referring to. I leafed through Angie's book and saw Jack 'O'Trades ad. It stated that they did In House Assemblies, so I contacted them. That's when I spoke with Logan. In his patient yet honest manner, he broke it all down for me. Told me about needed platforms and the different methods, costs, everything I ever wanted to know about platforms. I decided on the concrete slab and I'm glad that I did because the finished product looks great. We even got a small 'porch-like' area that the shed sits on. It's really cute. As for the fencing, when Logan came on day one to get started, we sort of sprung a "Hey Logan, do you work on fences? How much would it cost to fix these panels?", and "By the way, about how much do you think it would cost to replace this panel and put in a gate?". He was just great! He gave on the spot quotes - explained that he built all his fencing/gates from scratch - didn't buy them pre-made. He said that while the concrete was drying, he'd be building the fencing. The following day would be devoted to building and installing the shed. The new fence panels that Logan built and installed put my store-bought fencing to shame. They look that good. As for the other panel with the new gate, it's just awesome. I've been wanting a gate there for years - we finally have one and it looks great. Logan is definitely talented in this craft. I guess that your wondering about the main project - the tool shed assembly. Logan made certain to anchor it. The shed is sturdily built - it's just overall cute. Looks like a little cottage with a small front patio area - my grandson thought that it was a playhouse for him...SO NOT! My husband and I are overall pleased. No complaints. I neglected to mention that the only items/supplies that we provided to Jack 'O Trades was the unopened boxed tool shed. Jack 'O Trades removed all trash, dirt, debris, lumber, boxes, etc. The work area was left in perfectly clean condition. We will definitely use Jack 'O Trades for other items on my to-do list. -Joy Williams-Garcia

Logan arranged to come out for an estimate within days of our calling him. He called ahead to let us know he was running ahead of schedule. We got a very detailed estimate verbally and via email and were able to negotiate the price down by agreeing to do some demolition of existing fencing ourselves. Logan arranged for all the materials to be delivered. He showed up promptly when scheduled and performed the work in the amount of time estimated. He had to work around a large tree and did a great job cutting the fence around the trunk. Everything was cleaned up afterward. I am considering some additional work and will definitely give Logan a call.

Logon is very efficient and returned emails about the insulation promptly. He arrived within days to give an estimate on installing insulation I had previously purchased. He figured it would take him most of one day, so the quote of $486.90 was reasonable. We scheduled the insulation approximately 1-2 weeks later. He arrived at 9:30 a.m. and was finished by 1:30 p.m. It didn't take him as long as he had originally thought. He's nice/professional and easy to work with. His work, clean up, etc. was good, and he seems quite knowledgeable about his business. He was able to use all the insulation, and even took the scrap and utilized it. My only complaint might be that since I had previously bought the insultaiton, the estimate was for hourly installation work, and he finished early. We paid $121.50 an hour. Otherwise, the experience was good.

Logan was very professional. He gave me a written estimate, and we scheduled the work for the following week. He arrived on time. He was courteous and efficient. The quality of the work was very good. I would definitely use him as a handyman again.

I live out of state, so I trusted Logan to go into the home, take pictures of what needed to be done, and then complete the work. Logan kept me informed throughout the process. When work he originally bid wasn't needed, he told me and took it off the bill. The pricing was fair and the work good. The most important aspect was that I didn't need to be there to make sure the work got done.

Our bathroom was outdated and unsafe for my pregnant wife and new baby on the way. We contacted Jack O' Trades, had him give an estimate and he started work within 3 days. Logan was prompt, worked with minimal breaks until job tasks for the day were complete. The overall work was beautifully completed within 4 days.

I emailed Logan to get an idea of whether he could do some work around our house. He got back to me very quickly and set up a time to come take a look at the work and get me an estimate. Once he looked at the items we needed taken care of, he gave me an estimate on the spot that was very reasonable and competitive. We scheduled the work for the next week. Logan was very punctual and wonderful to chat with while doing the work. He was very quick - it only took him from 9AM until 3PM to finish all the work. He cleaned up all the work area when he was done too - THANK YOU!

Logan did a great job. He was professional and very friendly. After he finished I was concerned about some of the finishing and he came back out without hesitation to correct a couple of areas that didn't settle well. He wanted very much to ensure I was happy with the area.

My wife called to make an appointment and Logan responded right away with a firm date and time. He arrived as scheduled and was very neat and pleasant. He was very careful when working in the house, cleaned up perfectly, did excellent work and all for a very reasonable price. After visiting with him at the completion of our work we learned he is skilled and experienced in many home trades. We highly recommend his services and will definitely call on him in the future.

Logan is very personable, went right to work, had me check his progress as he went along. He was unable to paint the trim on the outside of the house because it was raining but offered to come back another day to finish. Very happy with the work done.

Logan was extremely professional and arrived on time. He performed all of the requested services in a meticulous fashion, with great attention to detail. I was extremely pleased with the finished result of each project. He came by ahead of time and reviewed each request and then provided me with a written estimate for tabor charges and materials. Overall I was extremely pleased. As a final example, for a broken door handle that he couldn't repair, he called the manufacturer and arranged for a new mechanism to be provided by them to fix the problem - way above and beyond what we had discussed.

They responded to my initial message promptly, and arranged a free estimate within the week. Logan (the owner) was extremely personable and thorough, and had many creative suggestions beyond our original vision for our backyard. Because our budget did not allow us to complete the entire design at this time, he was able to price it out in phases, and designed the other elements around our future needs (example - we plan to build a pergola, so he set the posts for that area of the deck at the height we will need them later). They stuck to the schedule almost exactly (one additional day), but this was due to some additions we made to the original layout. This is a company that we feel comfortable planning our future projects with. We are definitely calling him for the pergola work, building a stair on two sides of the deck, as well as extending the fence and installing pavers in the remaining yard area (budget permitting!). We already have estimates for this work, so we know exactly what to expect.
