 + -1 moreThey took a look and let us know why it died and the diagnosis. The only thing we could do was take it down. They were very professional, good, licensed and got the permit to take the tree down. We paid a little more compared to the other bids since we felt they we a more professional service. They had arborist in their company. He also gave us advice as to what to replant in the the area. We would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: We had them come out and look at a dead Washingtonian Palm.

 + -1 moreDid a nice job. We had authorized the $850 for tree trimming and not yet the citrus removal (which they quoted at $200). One of their workers started removing the tree and we asked them to stop. The owner volunteered to remove the tree fro free since they started before our authorization on that. Note that they almost left the property without a thorough cleanup of the property. Upon request, they stayed and cleaned it up. Easy to work with. Will definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Trimmed 3 oaks and 1 elm. Removed mistletoe, dead limbs and low sprout growth. Shaped 1 tree in back. Removed diseased citrus.

 + -1 moreI thought their prices were a little high for what they did. They left a lot of dead areas when we thought they were going to clean them out. Also, they didn't clean up very well when they were through. Jerry's a nice guy, but they turned us off last time we used them.

 + -1 moreJerry and his crew did a fantastic job! The large oak in the front of the house was getting out of hand, and he pruned it and trimmed the branches so that it now looks like a work of art. They also removed an old tree stump and cleared away brush from the other side of the yard. Their work was professional and they cleaned up completely after they were done.

Description of Work: Did not perform work -- was an estimate. They seemed very nice, but the estimate was at least 40% more than another qualified company, so I did not use them. For the estimate, they were prompt, courteous, and gave a written estimate. But the price difference was too significant

 + -1 moreMy experience with Jerry Upcavage was a most pleasant surprise. I phoned him to request an estimate. He stated that my locale was within his service area, but a bit far out. His minimum fee for a bucket crew was pricey, in my opinion, ($1,200.00.) However, he quickly referred me to another tree service that was located in Brandon, provided the phone number, and gave his personal, verbal "thumbs up" on the company. I appreciated Jerry's forth rightness and professionalism.

 + -1 moreThey came out, looked around and gave a concise description of what they would do. They provided an estimate and were able to schedule a date to do the job within two weeks. On the day of the job, a team of people arrived and got all the work done quickly. They also completely cleaned up, walked us around to ensure everything was done correctly, and called a week later to ensure that we were satisfied.
Description of Work: They completely trimmed and groomed a huge Oak tree in our front yard that probably had not been trimmed in many years. They got rid of some dead areas and it looks great. In addition, they trimmed several trees that were hanging over our roof so that they still provide shade, but gave some clearance over the roof.

 + -1 moreAn excellent experience overall. Four trucks arrived (including 3 bucket trucks.) plus a swarm of workers. They worked very efficiently and cleaned up after they were finished. They were very careful bringing the trucks onto the yard and in preventing the trees from damaging both our neighbors house and ours. They arrived around 8:30 in the morning and finished around 4:00 PM. The workers were very professional with no foul language or loud music. They did additional work to what was in the contract by trimming some of the smaller trees. I would recommend them to anyone. Their price was higher than other I checked with but, due to the nature of the work, we wanted to make sure that our contractor had bucket trucks. Although the initial price was higher than others, the additional work they performed made it worth it.
Description of Work: Removed 4 dead pines, 1 large and 2 medium trees(can't remember the type), a yew tree and another shrub. Lifted and trimmed 5 large oak trees, 1 small maple, 3 palms, 1 camphor and other trees. Offered to grind stumps at additional cost.

 + -1 moreHired this company to remove a dead Oak tree from my property (several large limbs had fallen during recent storms and damaged fencing and the roof of the house was in danger of being damaged. I called on a Saturday. They came out on Monday and provided an estimate and determined the tree was "dangerous" and moved the job to Tuesday. No one was home when the work was done, but the job was done exactly as was promised and all debris was removed from the property.

Description of Work: All work was done satisfactory. The worker arrived on time and introduced themselves than began working. The trees in the front and east side were trimmed away from the roof of the house. Four trees on the west side and one in the back were removed. Afterward, the workers began to clean the area. All work was done in an excellent manner.

 + -1 moreSpecifically they removed all the dead limbs from the trees, cut them where they hung too low to the ground, but kept that wide, low look of the old trees that looks so good. Several of the trees were in rough shape, and to help those, they were de-mossed which looked like quite a big job, and they cleaned up the palms and left them with a beautiful crown, and didn't take too much off of them, which I requested. They did all that we asked and more, and it was really amazing to watch the transformation. Thank you to Jerry Upcavage and your crew, it was a pleasure to have you take care of our precious trees. The world is a more beautiful place with trees in it!! Thanks for taking care of ours.
Description of Work: We have five acres of old oak trees and old cabbage palms, that were in need of maintenance and trimming. It was important to make sure that we had a Certified Arborist take care of our precious trees, as they are what we love so much about our property. Jerry showed a great love for the life of the trees, dissuading us from removing palms growing into the Oaks, as they were companion trees, and had grown up together. It is wonderful to find someone who seems to care as much about our trees as we do, and who has the expertise to take proper care of them. The crew and equipment that showed up was nothing less than impressive, everything necessary to do the job right! The workers were courteous and hard working, they left our yard, looking better than when they arrived. The trees look more impressive than ever, our house is as safe as possible for the next few hurricane seasons; removed every bit of debris; and left, at our request, several piles of beautiful mulch.

He also apprised me that his crew tries to be conservative because you can always trim more of a tree, but you can't put it back. I appreciated his candor and his making another visit to make sure that I was completely satisfied. Jerry and his crew do a great job and I would recommend them to anyone.

A large crew showed up and performed the work very efficiently. They even did additional work at my request for no additional charge. They also made sure that I was satisfied with their work in a walk-around. They did a excellent job cleaning up debris. The owner called a few days later to verify they had done a good job.

Company owner came to visit job to clear up some confusion on my part about the original proposal. My wife is an avid gardener, so I asked the crew leader to be extra careful working around her gardens. His crew members were very careful and did almost no damage to any plants.
