I've used them several times in the past and have always been satisfied with their work. This was a difficult job due to the proximity of one of the trees to the house, with large branches hanging over the roof. They used a bucket truck with extra long boom to reach the high branches. As always, they were careful not to damage the roof or the landscaping. Overall, I was very satisfied with the results.

Jerry Upcavage and his crew are top notch! Jerry is courteous, responsive, and professional. He called me back immediately after I'd left a message asking about a quote, and he made arrangements for the following day to take a look at the trees and provide an estimate. He is a certified arborist, and that was important to me as I wanted the trees to be trimmed properly so as not to shorten their lifespan. Jerry was all about that and also made several cost-saving recommendations, which was great. I was very pleased with the estimate. He and his crew was out there 2 days later, and they took care of everything, from trimming the trees to throroughly cleaning up afterward. The crew also took the time to move some small solar lights out of harms way, and then put them back after they were finished. When the crew had completed their work, Jerry walked us around the yard to do a final inspection to make sure we were pleased with what they had done, and we very much were! To top it off, Jerry knocked $25 off our bill since I was a member of Angie's List. That all said, I would recommend Independent Tree Service without hesitation, and I will use them again in the future (major thanks to Jerry and his crew!)

Workers were diligent, courteous, cooperative and careful and had full range of equipment to assure work was done appropriately.

As always, I have been very pleased with Jerry's work. He has been taking care of my trees nearly exclusively for 10 years. I called him later in the day on 1/24 and left a message indicating I wanted him to come and look at my back patio which was apparently being pushed upward by tree roots. He returned my call the next morning, indicating he was in the area and could come over in 15 minutes. He arrived earlier than anticipated and gave me an estimate, indicating he could save me money if I agreed to have the work done that day, since he'd already rented the equipment for another job. I agreed. Prior to the agreement he had explained my two options available to address the problem, and the implications of each. Unforeseen issues surfaced. He called me later in the day indicating that they might not be able to do the job that day, but might need to do it the following day, without an increase in my cost. He made an additional phone call and called me back stating that it would be tomorrow afternoon until his men could come. His son Jordan arrived that afternoon with a colleague. Jordan asked me to show him the problem; Jerry had marked the point where work would likely stop. Jordan explained the process, just as his father had, and his plan, essentially creating a trench around the perimeter of the patio, exposing the roots in order to avoid indiscriminate cutting as well as damage to the irrigation system which would have occurred with a less-targeted, less expensive approach. He reattached the plastic sheeting I had rigged up yesterday to limit the dirt blown into my lanai and my neighbor's adjacent space. He encouraged me to come and look as they were working, showing me what they were discovering. The work took less than an hour. They cleaned up nicely after they were done; the process does make a mess since air is injected into the ground, blowing out the soil. Jordan rang my doorbell to inform me they were completed and to let me know they'd located and cut an additional third root and how far they had dug. He answered all questions and handed me my bill which was less than the agreed amount, and indicated that he'd look forward in the future to coming back to prune my trees (which they had done a few months ago). He, just like his father, was very pleasant, friendly, polite, professional, competent, knowledgeable, helpful, and informative.

They sent eight men who spent ten hours here. They came out with three bucket trucks and two shredders. They did a lot of work and didn't even take a lunch break. They just took water breaks. They were very good. They cleaned up all the mess. They were exceptional. They were very honest too. When I called them they asked whether they could come out the same afternoon to give me an estimate. When they gave me the estimate I said I would call and let them know. They said they would have work the next day, but that they could come out on Wednesday. So it was like it happened immediately. Their price was good considering what they did. I would definitely recommend them to others. In fact, I have already recommended them to a friend.

I have used them before and the experience was good. They had a large crew of about 6 people and they were very clean and thorough. They removed all the debris from my yard and I will use them again in the future.

They did an excellent job. They took down 2 tees in 45 minutes yesterday. Today came back and ground 4 stumps. They are very professional people. You don’t have to pay anything up front. They will give you an estimate. They give you the bill and ask you if you’re happy and if anything is wrong they will fix it. You don’t have to pay them till you’re sure everything is how you want it. They clean up everything. They even go around with the blower and they’ve swept everything up. They’ve taken it all away.

The owner showed up on-time for his appointment. Crew showed up two day later - on-time. Polite and professional. Solid team that I recommend.

Well. We will use them again.

Once again I needed Tree Work. Contacted Independent tree Service and Jerry responded with a prompt estimate. Work was scheduled and done in a reasonable time. Workers were very professional and courteous. Job was done and cleanup was perfect. would recomend this company to others!

To say I was impressed would be the understatement of the year. I had no clue how many dead branches were in those trees. My backyard looks totally different for the better! The crew who came out were all very experienced and genuinely nice people. They took the time to tell me what they were going to do before they started in order to make sure I was getting what I paid for. The transformation in these trees was incredible. I will surely use them again when these oaks need it again. I would recommend them to anyone! They did a superb job!

Overall, the service was excellent.

Company owner came to property to provide proposal. Day of work his crew of four came to the home and the company owner stopped by 20 minutes later to walk them through the work to be completed. Company owner stayed for a total of 10 minutes leaving his crew to complete the project and cleaned up after themselves. They provided me the invoice upon completion which was for the proposed amount.

Perfectly executed tree removal, clean up, and communication throughout the project. Excellent work completed efficiently by a great staff !

Very well. Jerry is always prompt, professional and responsive in coming to do the estimate. My neighbors were very impressed with the quality of the work and clean up, and several asked for business cards from his workers. Jerry, as always, made a return call to assure my satisfaction.

Had a little trouble with scheduling and communication. I was very satisfied with the work. And the cleanup was excellent, not so much as an errant twig or leaf to be seen.

Once we contacted Jerry, he gave us a quote for the entirety of the work we wanted performed and scheduled a date to complete the work within two days of our call. The workers arrived on time, and they were all respectful, professional, and efficient. They removed the limb from the fence, being careful not to cause more damage to the fence. They trimmed all of the trees without the use of large equipment since the trees are not accessible to vehicles. They demonstrated precision and safety while trimming the canopies of the three large oak trees that hover over our pool enclosure. Most of the wood was chipped on-site, and they removed the rest of the wood with a truck.

Overall it was an excellent experience. Jerry is punctual, professional and pleasant to work with. He is a certified arborist who really made us feel comfortable making the decision to remove several trees at our new home. His price was reasonable considering the amount of work that was performed. I will recommend him in a heartbeat

I have a lot of trees and they did an excellent job. They came on time and they were very professional. The cleanup was excellent and they cleaned up all of the mess. They blew my roof off and cleaned that. They went over the whole roof and cleaned any sawdust and limbs. They went up there and raked and cleaned off everything. Then they went to the ground and cleaned it up in excellent fashion. They had good equipment and all of their men were well trained. There was no damage. They did me a really, really good job. The price was fair. I would absolutely use them again.

I arranged the service after speaking with Jerry and receiving an estimate from him, the price was very reasonable and he made a good impression so I booked the job with him. They did their job fast and left the area they worked around debris free. Highly recommend!

From start to finish Jerry was very pleasant & professional to work with. When Jerry came out to do the estimate he took a minute or two to look the tree over and then, in detail, explained to me what would need to be done and how. I scheduled to have the tree taken care the same day. The crew that Jerry assigned to the job arrived on time - on time being an understatement - they arrived 3hrs earlier than the appointed time. Ted, lead man for the crew, took a minute or two to look the tree over and identify the larger limbs Jerry had marked. As Ted was doing his walk around I rec'd a call courtesy call from Jerry just letting me know his guys had arrived. Ted & crew got to work. They controlled the falling limbs and were very careful not to disturb surrounding shrubs, plants etc. They cleaned up the limbs and raked up the small, loose stuff. Clean up was so good, the only way to tell my tree had been trimmed was to look at the tree itself. Ted represented Independent Tree Service with pride and professionalism. Jerry's communication with me from start to finish was great! I am very please with the job they did and I will use this company again. And I will refer this company to friends, family & co-workers.

Jerry was very professional and punctual. Explained why a palm had died and how it would be removed. Additionally explained how other palms would be protected during trimming by not using same equipment used to take out dead, infected tree. The crew was polite, on time, expedient and cleaned up after the job. Made sure everything was done to my satisfaction before leaving, and then Jerry followed up with another phone call to ensure satisfaction.

They were on time and when they left everything was cleaned up. They hauled everything away. They were excellent.
