Went very well, Jordan Upcavage of Independent Tree came out and provided an initial estimate on the trimming of the young live oak and the grand live oak and provided 2 alternate estimates for the remaining oak one for removal, and one for trimming. The alternate estimates were provided since we live in the City of Dunedin which has strict requirements on the removal of trees particularly the live oaks. Since we had worled with the City Arborist before, it was agreed that it would be best if we as the homeowners called and had him visit the property to examine the trees to determine what work was permitted. Once, the City Arborist provided oral approval and we passed the information to Jordan he took it from there, went and got the permit and a city of Dunedin license required to do the work. I consider this going out of his way since his primary business is in Hillsborough County. Once everything was in place the work was scheduled within a week. His crew showed up on the day and finished on the same day as planned. The communication in the meantime was excellent answering my questions and making sure he knew what need to be done since some work was added after his initial visit; including the acquisition of a Bald Cypress as an approved replacement for the live oak being removed. As a result the day of the work, we did not need to be present and everything went off without a hitch. Arrived home after the work was complete, everything was done as we had discussed and the yard was spotless, not a single bit of debris from the tree work. In addition the requested firewood was neatly stacked on the firewood racks we had put in place. l definitely would recommend Independent Tree to anyone without reservations based on communication, price, and the wonderful job. I know we will will calling them again in a couple years when it is time to trim the Live Oaks again.

We called for an estimate, and Jordan Upcavage made an appointment with us to visit our property. Unfortunately, my husband had to go out of town on short notice and missed the visit for the estimate. Jordan is a certified arborist, which is a big plus in my book. He discussed the specifics of each tree with me, and it allowed me to decide what our best option was for our back yard. Of course, I couldn't answer all of my husband's questions when he came home as I tried to explain what Jordan had explained to me. My husband called Jordan, and Jordan set up another visit to, again, go over all of the potential options/work with my husband. I thought this was above and beyond for him to visit a second time just to provide an estimate. We decided to move forward with the work. Jordan explained that they would apply for the permits for us (we didn't have to do any paperwork), and after the permits were granted, they would fit us into their work schedule. The permits required about a week, and then we were put on the schedule a few days later. The team arrived promptly at 9AM. Jordan arrived about 15 minutes later, and the work began. They worked strategically and safely, always calculating the proper cut for each limb. The back yard where the work was performed is rather tight, the trees were rather large, and they had to climb the trees and rope down each limb as it was cut. Each team member offered specific duties and the work was done efficiently. They had all the cutting completed, the entire loader truck filled, and the back yard spotless by 6PM. It was a great experience and the fact that care and safety was put first on each cut was a tremendous relief for me. I would definitely recommend Independent Tree to anyone with a small or large service to be performed. They are courteous, professional, and take great care in their work. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

Prompt response to phone call; scheduled date for service, but needed to reschedule because of work load. Arrived as rescheduled; reviewed planned work with crew; they completed work and thoroughly cleaned away cut palms. Excellent job. They were professional from beginning to end. I have previously contracted with them and will continue in the future.

Outstanding work. Scheduled a time to walk the property for the estimate. Called to let us know when we were on the schedule. Performed the trim work exactly as requested and cleaned up thoroughly when they were done. We have worked with this company for 9 years now and will only use them for work at our house. Jerry and his son are great to work with.

The came when scheduled, spoke to me about the overall job at hand and educated me on the health of the tree. They completed the job, exceeded my expectations and when they left no one would have known that such a job had been done. My yard and driveway were completely clean. We had two old and dying cherry laurel trees in the front yard. A few weeks ago, a large limb fell over the sidewalk during a windy evening. After that happened, we considered the trees to be dangerous, and wanted them removed. We've used Independent Tree Service in the past, and have always been very happy with their work. We called them, they responded quickly, and as usual, did an excellent job.

It was a great experience. Came to quote within 24 hours. Scheduled work within 48 hours and did a phenomenal job. Crew that showed up was well informed on what needed to be done and got right to work. When they left the property was clean all debris removed. THey even bagged leaves that were there and not part of what they were working on. The yard and deck look amazing.

His crew was excellent, they arrived on time, we went over the work to be done then I want to work. When I got home later that day all the work was done, there was nothing left behind and they even raked my front yard of all the dead leaves.

Indpendent Tree Service is a quality company with quality employees. They are beyond professional. All the trees were trimmed to a beautiful canopy, the wood was cleaned up, chipped, and hauled away. The trimmers were very respectful of our property as well as that of our neighbors. We have used them in years past and will do so in the future.

They were on time, did an excellent job, cleaned up as promised.

They came and started the work and were to return a couple of day later. Returned the following week and finished everything as scheduled and cleaned up nicely.

Timely arrival. They were courteous and professional. The workers efficiently cleaned out 2 huge oak trees in a day's time. They even cleaned up when the job was completed.

I purchased a deal through Angie's List for $200 worth of tree service for $99. I wanted my three trees, a pine, a tangerine & a grapefruit, inspected & trimmed before the hurricane season. The pine is big and impossible for us to trim. The two citrus trees aren't looking well. I contacted Jerry Upcavage at Independent Tree Service. He was able to come & look over the trees within two days. He said the grapefruit had blight & was on its last legs. He recommended cutting it down. The tangerine also has blight, but it has a few more years left. He recommended trimming. The pine is in good shape, but does need trimming. He quoted $194 after deducted the deal. I accepted his proposal, & we scheduled the work for the next monday. They came promptly on Monday & completed the work. I'm down to two fairly healthy trees that are looking good.

I purchased an Angie's list Big Deal for Independent Tree Service ($99.00 for $200.00 of work) and called Jerry Upcavage to schedule an estimate of the services that I needed. Jerry was there 2 days later at the appointed time. We walked my property and Jerry used a laser pointer to show me how he planned to trim my trees. I accepted his estimate and we set up a time for the work on Monday, Feb. 13 at 9:00 am. The crew, headed by Jerry's son Jordan, showed up on time and worked for about 3 hours on my trees. When they finished, Jordan walked with me over my property to show me all of the trimming and explained why certains limbs were left uncut -- but offered to make any additonal changes. He was very thorough in his explanations of why certains cuts had been made and some limbs had been left for for the health of the tree. I was very satisfied with the work and the appearance of the trimmed trees. Bottom line: Very professional, prompt, great work. My property was cleaned up beautifully. I didn't see a single stick on the ground after they were done picking up the trimmings. The price shown is the total I paid for all work done and includes the discount from the Big Deal.

We needed the trees in our front and back yard to be trimmed for the first time. Also we wanted a tree removed as it was growing too close to two others. Jerry came out to provide an estimate. He was very knowledgeable and his suggestions were very helpful. The crew did a great job and you could tell that they cared about both the health and apperance of the trees. They did a great job cleaning up after as well. We will definitely use them again.
