They were terrific. They were very professional. They came out and gave a free quote. The quote was accurate and there were no changes. They showed up on time. They called ahead. They cleaned up at the end of the job. I would give nothing but a rave review for them.

I called for a quote, Jerry arrived on time. I was happy with him and the price. We set a date and time. Hi s crew showed up on time and the guys were clean cut and professional. They were excellent. Did everything and more. They cleaned up. Great service.

Jerry, the owner, was so prompt that he visited the property while en route to another job. Over the phone, we discussed the work that was needed, as he walked the property and I consulted pictures that I had taken with my phone. We agreed on a price of $2000. He had his crew out to start the job on the day we agreed upon. On the first day, work was interrupted about halfway through when the small crawler tractor lost a tread. His crew cleaned everything up. We had to wait a few days (until the tractor was repaired) for the rest of the job to be completed. When work resumed a few days later, everything proceeded smoothly, including hauling out the logs from the tree trunks, until a freak incident occurred. As some logs were being pulled through the side yard, the machine flipped a metal file (used for sharpening chain saws) into our air conditioner compressor and punctured the coil. Jerry's crew was professional (and honest) in immediately calling Jerry to let him know what happened. Jerry in turn called me. He explained that nothing was more important to him than his reputation and integrity. Because of the inconvenience to me, and the damage to the air conditioner compressor, Jerry told me that (1) his crew would finish the entire job and I would owe nothing for the work; and (2) he would pay for all repairs to the air conditioner, using an A/C company of my choosing. True to his word, the yard was finished and completely cleaned up, and the a/c was fixed within a day, and Jerry charged me nothing. I want to stress that I never even met Jerry; -- all of our dealings were over the phone because I was busy at work. With nothing more than a verbal agreement, everything was taken care of. I was impressed with his character, and the gracious way he dealt with an unfortunate situation. Jerry even contacted me several weeks later to make sure the a/c was still working properly, and confirming that he would make everything right. I highly recommend him and his company, and will use Independent Tree Service in the future.

I bought the $99 Angie's List special with the idea of just getting a couple of the really ugly dead branches cut down. Jerry, the owner and a certified arborist came to our house and looked at our trees. At my request he gave me a written estimate to do a minimal amount of work on our two big live oaks and suggested that the cherry laurel tree growing against our neighbor's fence be removed. I talked to my husband about the estimate and he reluctantly agreed to get it done since we can no longer do it ourselves. We scheduled it for yesterday. Jordan and Calvin showed up early and worked hard all day. We were impressed with their care in making sure that nothing was damaged by falling branches. They used a rope and special chainsaws and it was clear that they knew exactly what they were doing. We were also impressed with how carefully each cut was chosen. Instead of just hacking off what they could reach (as we had done) Jordan was careful to leave the tree looking natural. Besides knowing how to raise the canopy of an oak, he knows how to raise it so it looks beautiful. Jordan and Calvin worked very well together and didn't waste any time...they were each busy the whole time they were here. They picked up and carted away an enormous amount of trimmed tree limbs as well as the entire cherry laurel tree. I was very happy with their work, but more importantly my husband was extremely impressed. We will call Independent Tree Service the next time we need tree service. I enthusiastically recommend them!!!

Jerry came out the day after I called and gave me the estimate. The next day the crew showed up and did an excellent job. They stayed until dark cleaning up and recycled all of the debris. Excellent job by all!

I contacted Independent Tree Service to have the appointment and was to far from their location.

Those folks are amazing! The work is excellent, the cleanup perfect. They are on time, pleasant, professional. You get what you pay for. Not expensive, but more than the guys who wander door to door looking for work. You can trust your huge, old, important live oaks to them.

Omg the best service I have had in along time owner was great explained what he would do. The workers very pleasant. Do a great job and cleaned up. I am so happy.

Excellent communication with Mr. Jordan! He arrived at home when expected and performed the duties very efficiently. The crew was respectful and diligent to use safe measures and cleaned up as they went along. Mr. Jordan also removed a smaller tree from the front yard at no charge.

We met Larry at the appointed time. He gave us an estimate for the desired work and made some useful suggestions. We accepted his estimate and his crew arrived as promised, did the work in one day (and it included several trees and limbs.) The crew cleaned up after themselves and left the place in great shape. No hidden extras, stayed within the estimate and did a great job.

It went quite well. The crew was on time and respectful of my property. They were very efficient and seemed to care about their work. They did a great job.

The workers were scheduled to come at 10am and showed up early which was great for us. They promptly started to get to work and advised us to remove one small bush to clear the area for the stump grinder. Once the small bush was removed the team started removing limbs and grinding them up. They took great care with our house and the surrounding area as well as the house next door. We asked them to clean out the gutter if it was possible and they agreed cleaning out the extraneous leaves in the gutter. The guys were great that showed excellent teamwork in getting the job done. We were very impressed and will use them again in the future.

Jeny came out - on time to give estimate - knowledgeable on landscape. Scheduled work to be done - crew pleasant and mannerly. Did a great job and will use them again.

Came and gave an estimate, fit me in at the end of the day because I work. Spent a lot of time explaining how he would do the work we wanted and was very knowledgable on trees. They did a great job on the work, it was scheduled within a week when I called to hire them. Had no complaints from the neighbors (close quarters in the neighborhood) and cleaned up to where the only way we knew they were there is the missing trees and open space from the trimmed trees. The backyard looks good. Definitely use them when we finally decide to replace the tree up front. Independent was very good about payment too. I didn't have to make a special effort to get home from work early to pay them.

They were not the lowest estimate but they were the most professional. They were prompt on the job... .. the men worked as a team and did an excellent job.. We could not have been happier ...this was our best tree trimming experience over the past 30 years.

It went great! The trimmers arrived at the time that I requested. They brought a bucket truck so that they could access the high limbs. They artfully trimmed the tree to make it safer for me, removing a great deal of dead wood & small limbs weighing down large branches. They did a beautiful job of clean-up, even blowing my eaves & gutters to remove leaves & twigs. I had new mulch and they did not disturb it, which I thought was pretty amazing!
