I contacted Jordan and he came out, assessed what needed to be done, gave me a reasonable quote and scheduled the trimming. On the day of the trimming the work was done and the area was cleaned up. Jordan called the next morning to make sure that I was happy with the work done. They have been so prompt and attentive that I am having a tree removed next week. I have not even met Jordan yet but have found him professional and reasonable.

Crew showed up on time and went right to work. Job was completed in a few hours. They were professional and thorough. We were extremely happy. Jordan was on hand to supervise and finish up.

Spoke to the owner on the phone in the morning-he let me know he would drive by the house that day or look it up on googlemaps in order to find out what kind of tree I had in the front of my house. He said he would give me a call back that day and let me know my options. It has been almost a week now with no return phone call. I have moved on to another, more responsive company. **Just discovered the quote inside of the unused mail slot by my front door!***

Mr Upcavage was very thorough about the previous diagnosis, explaining how the other diagnosis was incorrect. He never down graded the other but made me feel very confident that my trees are okay, my house and dwelling are safe and to let them heal for a year! And few other helpful things I should do to help them. Believe me I will call Independent Tree Service again next year to PROPERLY trim my Laurel oaks!!

I called and left a message regarding some work I wanted done. I received a call back from Jerry that morning and not long after I left the message , and explained to him what I wanted a price on. He said his son would come by that afternoon. I received a call from Jordan (the son) early afternoon, and he said it would be late that evening of first thing in the morning before he could come out. I said no problem, just call me around 5:00 pm or so and let me know one way or the other. It's not almost 3:00 pm the next day, and I still haven't heard from him.........Business must be good. Congrats! PS: If you're going to "A" listed on Angies list, then live up to it, otherwise you're going to get called out

I was amazed at how efficiently they worked and within no time, the trees were removed and everything was cleaned up. I would (and have) recommend this company to anyone needing this type of work done.

I called them and they came to provide an estimate within a couple of days. They arrived at the planned time. They provided the estimated cost the next day or so, and I scheduled an appointment. I was not here when they did the tree trimming, but when I returned from my trip, I noticed the nice job that they did immediately. They did exactly as they said they would and left the invoice for me. Great service! I am very pleased and will use them again in the future.

Jordan uo change & crew arrived @8:50 AM. team worked well and finished @ 2:00PM. They were responsive to my results to left the property clean.

I was very pleased with them. They were on time. They gave me estimates. They showed up on time. They cut the tree and cleaned up after themselves. They trimmed the tree that was hanging over my roof. They did an excellent job. I had just had a screen enclosure put up and the tree was growing over the enclosure and they removed that part of the tree that was growing over the enclosure but before they did anything, they checked the root because there was a Podocorpus tree and it was very large and a large root that was right next to my pool and I was afraid the root was groing around the pool and may cause problems so they checked that out for me. They were very professional. They had an arborist there. I felt very comfortable dealing with them. They cleaned up everything and they were gone. In the future, I won't do anymore research, I'll just call Independent. As it turned out, the equipment they had to get to check the roots was very expensive and they gave me a break on it because they were able to get other people who needed the same thing. I've dealt with tree people before and they were great.

Excellent job as always. I exclusively use this company for tree care. Consistent excellent work; complete cleanup. They take the extra steps to avoid damage to other landscaping and objects. The project was a relatively difficult one, but was performed in a well organized manner. Crew kept working until the job was complete, and the customer was satisfied. Highly recommend.

Very well, he was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. His price was a little higher compared to the other estimates we received, but we have not yet made a final decision.

The crew arrived slightly late but was due to having to empty a large truck. They worked steadily until the tree was out to a stump. All crew members were polite and efficient. They were very careful and cleaned up debris.

Trimmed back three large, old Laurel Oaks on my side yard. Had a very good experience with this company. Very responsive and professional. Did a great job and left the yard just like it was before they came. Very highly recommend.

From the beginning Independent was the most professional vendor we got a quote from. Jordan Upcavage was not only prompt and professional, he was by far the most knowledgeable of any of the people we got quotes from. His knowledge of the trees and plants and his explanation of how the work would be performed and why his recommendation were what they were, put me at ease immediately. I was confident after our first meeting that he knew what he was doing and that we wouldn't end up with a 'hack job.' The work was scheduled after we made our decision. (we received 3 bids) Jordan's original bid was a little higher than the other two, however, I expected it to be more because I expected a much better job based on my interviews. He worked with me on price so that he wasn't much more than the next closest competitor. Even though he wasn't the lowest price, I still marked his price as an 'A' because the work was worth the price. We have 1.25 acres and they had two crews and two bucket trucks on site. The end result was fantastic. The trees have never looked better. The only issue that arose while they were on site was that one of the above ground cable lines got accidentally cut. They immediately contacted the vendor and reported the issue and took care of everything. FYI - the above ground cable wasn't at code level, so I don't really blame them for any wrong-doing. They did take full responsibility either way and resolved it immediately. Bottom line I would recommend them to everyone. They had a professionalism that is not the standard in the industry. Their level of education and understanding of all types of trees was second to none and the end result showed it.

It went great. The two men were very professional and the owner had come to do an inspection and estimate to look at what it would be. The rain came and they waited patiently to finish the job. I felt they went above and beyond too to help us.

They arrived on time. They cut down the tree and cleaned up afterwards. They also trimmed 2 other trees.

A crew of 3 spent 5 or six hours at the house. Did a great job and left the place spotless. Everything went as planned. Highly recommend this company.

Jerry the owner came by to give me an estimate and within one week of estimate, his crew came and completed the job. They were on time and did excellent work.

The neat and clean men arrived promptly. They were good workers and pleasant when I requested that a branch be cut up and left for me to use. One of them found a snake near the garage and made sure that it wasn't a pigmy rattler before letting me get near. End result of the day was a baby rat snake got a new home with the men, I got some cut branch to use and most importantly my trees got properly prepared for the storm season. Jerry told me about the ages and related decline of my trees which saddens me but prepares me for future decisions. I will have him check the trees yearly and will take his recommendation for new trees when the time comes. I trust my trees to no other company.

Jordan Upcavage performed the service with a team of two other men. I could not be more pleased with the way things went. Jordan came out to take a look at what I wanted to have done. He gave me a quote and a few months later I called him and set up an appointment to have the tree removed. Throughout the entire process Jordan could not have Been more professional or more devoted to customer satisfaction. He did exactly what he said he would and was punctual. If I ever need this type of service again I will be calling independent tree service!

Independent tree service did an outstanding job with my trees. I initially called when a branch fell from one of my oak trees and Jordan came out that evening (in the pouring rain) to inspect the downed branch. While he was here I asked him to inspect my other trees and inquired about having some additional work done, removing two dead citrus trees and grinding. While inspecting my other large oak trees we found one had a serious fungal rot near the base. He gave me several options to either have it removed or thinned out, but I decided with removal since the tree was close to mine and my neighbor's homes and I didn't want to risk it falling. When the day came to do the removal, Jordan and his crew arrived early and got right to work. They did a very professional job and the oak tree removal went without any problems. My next door neighbors even commented on how impressed they were with how they safely cut down my oak tree without damaging the adjoining privacy fence. I definitely would highly recommend Independent Tree Service to anyone looking to have work done, and I will certainly be using them in the future.

This company was referred to me by a friend and highly recommended by them. From the initial contact with Jordan Upcavage who came out to review my trees as part of hurricane preparation through the end of the project I was more than pleased. And I was especially impressed with his knowledge as a certified arborist. Initially I had a "have to do" list that involved getting some very large and completely dead branches that went over the street in front of my house trimmed. These branches kept braking off in pieces and falling in the street and in the yard especially since it has been windy. I also had a large China Berry tree in the back yard that was completely dead from a freeze a few years back. Then I had my "wish list" depending on how much they would cost that included trimming some dead branches on my avocado trees and a Pecan tree. As an arborist, Jordan explained exactly where cuts should occur for the health and well being of the trees. He also noticed a fungus around the bottom of an old Queen Palm tree that had attacked the roots with the potential result that the very high palm could very easily have fallen. I had seen these strange growths around the bottom of the tree and have since done research online and realized Jordan probably saved my house from this tree falling. He made a cost proposal that included both my "have to do" and "wish list" that I felt was more than reasonable so I made the decision to have all the work done. When they arrived yesterday, July 31, 2013 Jordan arrived onsite and carefully reviewed with his crew of Glen, Jim and Chris exactly what needed to be done always emphasizing exactly where the trims should occur for the health and well being of the trees so only what was necessary would be done. It was evident that these men were professional, experienced and safety conscious. And they all had great interpersonal skills. I was amazed at the awareness and sensitivity in regard to some of the things the guys did without my even asking. For example I had a special memento (ground marker) on the ground where my dog, Heidi, was buried and noticed that one of the guys had picked it up and stood it out of the way so the Bobcat would not run over it...and it was put back in place when they finished. They also moved the flagstones I recently put down on the side of the house so they wouldn't be broken and then put them back. Glen and Jim figured out the best way to remove some very large and heavy pieces of a tree that had been cut down and left in the yard ages ago in a way that my new fence was not affected. They even went the extra step to get a huge amount of potato vine off my well and smoke house. Before Glen cut the dead branches of the Pecan tree, I looked out the window to see him carefully moving a bunch of plants I had on a table under the tree so they wouldn't get broken by a falling branch. When Glen finished his loading job and was leaving to the next job he made sure to come and say goodbye. And here is the clincher - while Chris was elevating some branches that were a potential risk to my service lines, Jim was cleaning up. There was not even a tiny piece of twig left of the ground - not one tiny piece!! I did my walk through to check what was to be done and was amazed at how Jim had completely cleaned out the area where the China Berry had been from all the overgrowth. There was a black racer (snake) in the overgrowth and I had mentioned I was afraid to go in with the logs that were there and the overgrowth so Jim fixed it so it was all nice and clean and I could see where I was going - an extra he did to make a customer extra happy. Jordan called today to get my feedback on how I thought the job had gone. My response was that they have my business for as long as I am around. I told him how thorough Glen, Jim and Chris were and how impressed I was with their skill, safety awareness and commitment to doing what was best for the trees. I cannot recommend Independent Tree Service highly enough - they are exceptional in terms of knowledge, performance, skill and cost. I've already recommended them to three neighbors. Thank you.

The crew knew what needed done, asked for any clarification for me to inspect the job. The company worked me in during a very busy time and did a great job at a reasonable price.
