I received a prompt call back and visit from the owner, Jerry Upcavage. Extremely professional and very handy that he is a certified aborist. He made recommendations for every tree in the yard and explained the city codes and processes. I received a very fair price and he handled the routine permit for tree pruning. The grand tree needed a special process which he helped to coordinate. This was a very large job by Tampa standards and he was still able to perform the job in one day due to plenty of manpower and top of the line equipment. When the grand tree authorization was complete, his crew promptly returned and cut down the Laural Oak. Jerry and his son Jordan always called me back whenever I needed to coordinate, came to the site to ensure the cutting went smoothly and always followed up. I highly recommend this company to anyone, especially for large jobs or those requiring a higher level of expertise.

I called four different companies for estimates. Independent Tree Service won the job hands down. Not only did they offer a good price, but Jordan was the most professional and knowledgeable of them all. He had a laser pointer that he used to show and confirm which branches he thought should be trimmed as well as to make sure he knew which ones I wanted to be trimmed. He also showed me where on the tree/limb they would make the cut and explained why (e.g., growth pattern, etc). The job was for them to trim at least 8 large trees and cut down 1 old Australian pine. The work was done in a timely manner and they called me to let me know what day and time. They showed up when they said they would (so rare in home repairs, etc)! Jordan's team did a professional and beautiful job. I asked them to come back to take care of one limb, and he was polite and responsive and sent someone out immediately. I asked them to leave me some mulch and they cleaned up all other debris. When I was unable to use all of the mulch, he went the extra mile and had someone pick it up. They also gave me a follow-up call to make sure I was pleased with the job. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Independent Tree Service! I have lived in my house for 20 years and Jordan offered the most professional customer service I've ever experienced. Jordan Upcavage, certified arborist, came to give us an estimate. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. There was absolutely no pressure to add more work. He gave us a great discount for having all the work done at once. Three men worked for four hours trimming the trees around our home. They did an excellent job and were all very courteous and friendly. The price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Independent Tree Service.

Jerry was great! I bought his "big deal" a year ago and forgot about it until it was almost expired. I called him on the expiration date and he honord it anyway. Jerry set up a date to trim our trees within a week. We forgot and had to re-schedule due to cars being parked under the trees. They were great about needing to reschedule. They came on the new day and did a great job trimming the trees. I would recommend them and use them again. This was for our commercial property, and we need some trimming done at the house. Gina d

they did exactly what they quoted to do. Cleaned out dead branches, removed limbs growing over roof, and brought the tree line up from the ground. I have had other tree services in the past but none as thorough as this.

I am a happy repeat customer! Jerry gave me a quote for the work needed to be done. His crew came out on time and did not leave until everything was done and all debris removed. This job is always very tough and timely! His crew works so hard and are such wonderful guys! They are very professional as well! I will not let anyone else trim my trees because Jerry and his son Jordan are very knowledgeable regarding trees and whats best for them. I wanted to top trim my Virburnum and Jerry advised me to wait until the start of Spring and explained why. Other companies would have trimmed them in order to get more money. I will be contacting Jerry and his crew in the Spring!

Initial tree pruning. Elevated front live oak for 12' vertical foliage clearance over road and 10' foliage clearance over driveway & turf. Cleared roof line & crown cleaned to remove dead/dying limbs and low sprout growth. Standard trim of 2 palm trees. Elevated front camphor to 10', cleared roof & crown cleaned to remove dead/dying limbs. Removed huge Bouganvilla cluster in backyard. | |Without a doubt, will hire again. It was good as well, they perform the services that I requested and I must as a good fight because it was the first time I have ever done the tree service. I will say that they did have to make a return visit because they did not specifically perform of the requested, like, they did not cut it all and they actually have come back out for the second trip. That was 12 months ago for $600. The guy who came out and did the initial estimate seemed to be quite knowledgeable about what was talking about as far as the tree is in the proper way to cut. It seemed like he knew what he was doing, so, that was good. But as far as they prefer to perform the work honestly, anytime they could expect a trip that is not ideal. The tree trim was fine but they did lead some scratch on the ground that they did not take up the first time, but they did recover on the second time. Whatever discrepancy they had was all from the second trip as well. Overall, I would say, it was satisfactory. I do not have any basis of a person for a tree trim but it was my daughter to cut some trees. .

Chris and Calvin did an excellent job. Were very professional. Cleaned up all tree branches and debris when job was finished. both very polite and answered all my numerous questions.

On time, for estimate and work. Answered all questions and explained thoroughly what would and would not be done to avoid harm to the tree. Very professional and accommodating.

I contacted Jerry the owner and he came out and gave me an estimate. He was the 2nd guy I called and I like the way he did business. We scheduled a date to come out and have the trees cut back and then removed and also to grind the stumps all over the property. They were able to come out earlier than scheduled to cut down and prune the trees and made our jungle of a backyard beautiful again. We scheduled a later date to come out and get all the stumps ground out because we went out of town. When we got back they were ready to grind the stumps, they had a couple hiccups with the grinder the first day but it was a safety issue so I was ok with them getting the machine fixed first and coming back later. They came back the following day and completed all the stumps in the yard. I believe they cut down about 3 big trees and and cut back the entire property line, then ground down about 15 or more stumps. Our back yard just needs a good landscaper and we will be in business! Quick response to request for estimate. This was my second time using this company. Performed services requested using arborist techniques. Cleaned up and removed all debris. Follow up call next day.

The owner came out to do the tree estimate and the cost of tree removal was within my expectations. The crew arrived on time and was a model of efficiency. The very large tree in front of my house came down in a few hours. They provided nice cut logs for firewood that was stacked into the receptacle that I provided. The stump grinding also provided excellent mulch for other landscaping. I highly recommend this company for any tree removal.

After one day rain delay (we were informed), 4 men and 2 trucks arrived, on time, spent 4 hours trimming. Cleanup (well done) very responsive, informative and thorough.
